If you are looking for a place to stay near Ludlow look no further. We loved this bed and breakfast. The service was amazing. Julie and Mike were so wonderful and attentive. The breakfast was so delicious it was like Sunday brunch every morning and each meal had fresh ingredients. They try to source their food locally and you can taste the difference. In the afternoon they provide a soup and apple cider and yes they make it all fresh. Everything we had to eat was delicious. They also provided multiple restaurant recommendations for dinner and even made reservations on our behalf. The rooms look even better than the pictures and everything was very clean and comfortable. Our bedroom was really cozy and our bathroom was well setup for easy access. They are just a short drive from Okemo and all the ski shops. I wish I could give them 6 stars.

The Inn is in a great location to Okemo. The friendliness and hospitality of Julie and Mike are second to none. The rooms are well appointed, clean, and comfortable. The breakfasts were absolutely outstanding! A great place to stay for a long weekend ski trip, and we will definitely be back.

We could NOT be more pleased with our stay at the Golden Stage Inn!! Julie (and her husband Mike) are absolutely delightful hosts, who went out of their way to make recommendations for everything from restaurants to sights and made sure we had whatever we needed at all times.

The BREAKFASTS… are to die for! All homemade and truly gourmet! The cinnamon rolls were ‘off the hook’ - per my husband. The family atmosphere, the soup in the afternoon, apple cider, bottomless cookies, Saturday night chocolate cake. We can’t even describe it all.

Close to lots of skiing and walking distance to restaurants and shops. Golden Stage Inn has it all! We will be back !!

What a great place! The Golden Stage was the prefect weekend getaway. Just what a country inn should be--quaint, charming, but with all the modern conveniences. Daily breakfast was a two-course gourmet feast that kept us going well into late afternoon, and the bottomless cookie jar made me feel like a kid again. The grounds are beautiful--and they also have a lovely inground pool. Very rare to find a place that isn't a chain that has an inground pool nestled in such a lovely setting. We will be back!

Wonderful Vermont Inn! Just what you would expect but more! Inn keeper Julie is the nicest person ever! She can’t do enough to make you at home. The food is unbelievable!

We wish we could have stayed longer and we are already planning our trip back! From arrival to departure, the Golden Stage Inn was everything it promises to be and more! The soup delicious, the cookies - excellent, the hot cider - wonderful, the chocolate cake - scrumptious, and the breakfast - the perfect start to the day. But beyond the food, the bed was incredibly comfortable and the sheets are going to be purchased next time we visit, seriously, comfiest sheets ever. The hosts are wonderful and make you feel at home with a great selection of games and puzzles. Can't wait to go back!!

This was absolutely the best experience! I was reluctant about staying at an Inn but i was blown away! Mike and Julie were so welcoming, accommodating and downright amazing hosts! The food is top notch and plated so beautifully! We will definitely be returning for our future ski trips⛷🏂!

Awesome Inn. Staff takes excellent care of guests. Breakfasts were varied and well done. Rooms clean and bed comfortable. Central heating and air conditioning available. Been there several times and it will be my first choice next time I come to area.

I visited the Golden Stage Inn with my girlfriend in February 2022, and everything about our stay at this B&B was amazing! The hosts, Julie and Mike, went above and beyond with their hospitality, and they were very helpful giving us suggestions for good restaurants to eat at and outdoor areas to explore. The inn was clean, comfortable, and quite homey. Oh, and the food and drinks! There were outstanding breakfasts, delicious afternoon soups, hot cider in the evenings (which was especially welcome after a day of skiing), fresh baked cookies at all times, 24/7 teas, coffee, and hot chocolate, and chocolate cake on Saturday evening. All of it was fantastic! This inn was actually originally our second choice for staying in the area -- our first choice became sold out for our dates before we could get it booked -- but we were so thankful it turned out that way so we could experience this awesome B&B. I would heartily recommend this B&B to everyone and if I ever visit the area again, this is the first place I'm going to look to stay.

We enjoyed staying at Golden Stage during our Inn to Inn hiking trip. The inn is beautiful, extremely clean and well maintained. Our host, Julie, was a delight. She was always helpful and friendly, and obviously loves being an innkeeper. We enjoyed our wonderful meals while sitting near other fellow hikers, getting to know each other and sharing our hiking experiences.

Unbelievable experience!

I won’t share much because I want you to experience everything for yourself. The owners have the cutest dog kept in a private (dog) room that you can pet if you ask. The hospitality was incredible. Careful booking here because you’re not gonna want to leave this place.

We just returned from a fantastic stay at the Golden Stage Inn! This was our third time staying there. Mike and Julie are such great hosts – they make sure you are well taken care of and that every aspect of your stay is comfortable. From the amazing breakfasts to the delicious evening soup, cookies, and cider – the food is great! The sheets, towels, bathrobes, soaps are all luxury quality. In terms of cleanliness, the place is spotless. All around, this is my family’s favorite place to stay – for us, it sets the bar (and a high one at that).

Innkeepers Julie and Mike were fantastic hosts. The inn was clean, quiet, and quaint. We loved staying here for a quick weekend trip to Okemo and hope to return again.

We just had another wonderful stay at Golden Stage! Julie and Mike were so welcoming that it felt like home. We started each day with a wholesome breakfast that kept us going on the slopes (thank you for the recipes, Julie!); came back after skiing to a warm fireplace, home made soup, hot cider and the bottomless cookie jar. We loved having Nelly and Maizy (the owners' dogs) hang out with us while we played games in the evenings. Highly recommend staying here, you will love it!

This bed and breakfast is nothing short of spectacular. The house itself is beautiful, very spacious and has a bunch of little games to keep you occupied if you don't plan on heading to Okemo. The couple that run it are lovely people who are very easy to talk to and will go above and beyond to make sure your stay is fun and comfortable. And the breakfast....amazing. Coffee, Greek yogurt, fresh fruit, muffins, pumpkin pancakes and Vermont bacon! They sent us off with full bellies and big smiles 😃. I absolutely recommend this place to couples, families, and friends!

I came up to Vermont with family and had such a lovely stay at the Golden Stage Inn. The beds were comfy, I loved the history of the place, and the atmosphere was everything you’d expect from a bed and breakfast tucked away in Vermont. We had a unique and delicious breakfast in the morning. In an age of lack-luster private-room online rentals, this place reminds you of how traveling SHOULD be done. I’ll definitely bring more friends and family here in the future.
