Delicious upscale food and friendly, attentive service! The food looked as great as it tasted

My husband and I have been driving out of our way to come here for special occasions for years. We absolutely adore the atmosphere and the food. The service is hit or miss, however.
We love the atmosphere here.. it's very romantic and intimate, especially when they have live piano or guitar. The working coat check is a wonderful touch also. The food is absolutely to die for, we've never had a problem with anything tasting terrible or something like that.
I would expect a higher level of service here, however. Don't get me wrong the wait staff works hard and gets stuff done, but in a place like this you'd expect the highest customer service possible. That is the only area that could be improved upon. For instance it would be a nice touch for our waitress to have gone over the menu with us as opposed to just a "what do you want?"
It would also be a nice touch for a "have you been here before" or " are we celebrating a special occasion?" Little things like that make a difference!

Thank you for having such a great restaurant! We will be bringing a large group of friends in a few weeks to show them how wonderful you are!

Romantic setting and amazing service. Perfect for date night. Delicious food and everyone on staff is kind. Highly recommend the french onion soup!

Had lunch with my sister wedding soup is so delicious and so was the shrimp and fish salads the food staff did an excellent job! I will be back

Every Valentine's day my wife and I come here for dinner. We have never been disappointed in the meal, staff or atmosphere. While it is a little pricey, the meal is definitely worth it. As long as we still live in the area we'll be coming to celebrate all of our Valentine's Days.

Wow! The pork chop was beautifully cooked and the sides paired wonderfully, the steak and lobster was delicious! The wine was perfectly paired and if you’re a coffee lover like me, try the expresso martini!

This was by far the best food we’ve had in a long time, beautifully presented, perfectly cooked, and they served each section at the perfect time.

The tables were elegantly set and everything was very clean!

11-25-23 we just had our wedding reception in the private party room. Deborah, Kobie and the whole staff that waiting on our reception did a fabulous job. Deborah went out of her way to make last minute changes as needed and the room was stunning! I highly recommend anyone who is having a small wedding to consider the Wooden Angel! The food was amazing! Everyone was Raving. The drinks were on point as well as the their specialty wine. We expected to have a nice dinner we are happy to report we had an excellent dinner with fantastic service! Please keep this diamond on your list must eat places when visiting Beaver!

Randomly picked this place because I had drove by it many times and I like the rustic look, like I had arrived near home. Nice, comfortable atmosphere and smiley people working! Our Waitress, her name Erin I believe. Phenomenal! And super nice! She went above it all to make the first dine in amazing! We'll be back!!

I definitely suggest the Asiago Gnocchi in red pepper sauce and the tiramisu for dessert! Prime Rib spot on as well.

My husband got the got roast beef sandwich. The meat on the sandwich was half inch thick. I had the batter shrimp & fries. Both .meals were outstanding.

Great food and atmosphere. The main dining room reminds me of an English Drawing Room. I had the English Broiled Scrod with sautéed vegetables. My wife had the Seafood Risotto, it had plenty of shrimp and scallops along with laogostino. The prices are reasonable and the portions are ample.

Quiet, friendly setting. Excellent wait staff. Food was phenomenal! Will definitely return.

Good food.i believe that the silverware and the plates should not be put out the previous night,this is unsanitary and unhealthy.with COVID being so rampant it is not a wise thing to do.theres several bins of dirty dishes in them with food on them and little bugs flying around them,people that work in the kitchen cough near the food and they don't wear gloves when they handle the food.numerous bins of dirty dishes with food on them sit there for days on end,little nats flying around them, numerous coffee cups go through the dishwasher and come out with lipstick on the cups.numerous bins of dirty dishes will sit there for a day while little black bugs fly around,who knows where they might end up at,this is in the kitchen.

Awesome location with so much charm! The seafood Risotto was excellent. Came with a large group of 25 and the service was on point!

The Wooden Angel/Nickle is a great place for family gatherings or just to enjoy some homemade cooking.

Definitely out of the way close to Beaver, PA, once you find this place you'll continue to go back. The restaurant itself is well made, but a bit dark inside. Our most recent visit was a Sunday afternoon, and with the curtains and blinds drawn, you couldn't really tell what it was like outside.

The menu isn't very expansive, bit there's a good selection of sandwiches and burgers that come standard. The real treat, though, are the daily specials. This most recent trip it was stuffed peppers, stuffed turkey, or stuffed pork chops. Our table tried one of each, and they were fantastic. If you think back to your mom or grandma making these meals at home, then you have a good idea of what they taste like. The food was hot, fresh, and a pretty decent amount for the price.

Desserts include some standard ice cream and pies. I tried the cherry crunch pie (think Dutch apple, but cherries), and it was good. Nothing to write home about, but good. Compared to supper, the slice of pie was smaller than I expected.

The service was pleasant, if not the fastest I've ever seen. The place did a brisk business too while we were there, and can seem a bit crowded at times.

Overall, a really good experience, and I'll definitely be going back. 4.5/5 stars, but since Google won't let me do a half star, I'll make it 5.

Not only did I get married here, but I threw a surprise birthday party for my husband and his twin. Deb is amazing to work with! The food and service is absolutely amazing. It's worth every penny, and with that being said it is extremely afforabdle!

Enjoyed a lovely evening here with my mom and daughter. The food was excellent -- scallops were some of the best I've ever had. Service and piano music completed the experience. I can't wait to go back next time we're in town.

I've lived in Beaver County my whole life,but today was the first time I was at Wooden Angel.. Let me tell you,I loved this place. My family and I went for lunch today . First impression going into the restaurant was Wow,this place is so warm and cozy .The decor is beautiful.
Our waitress was so sweet, and made us feel welcomed. She answered all our questions we had on the menu.. She was very sweet.
The food choice was SOOOOO good.There were 7of is and we all got something different..All of us totally enjoyed our food. Potions were a nice size for lunch. Nice choices on menu. Pricing... Is slightly higher than other places I have gone for LUNCH BUT it all was so worth it.. I will be coming back again, there are a few other dishes I definitely want to try.. I feel this is also a perfect place for an Anniversary dinner or Valentine's dinner.. Birthday dinner..
