Guilford Country Store and Cafe

So happy we didn't lose this place when it sold - and pretty euphoric that it's even better now!! Delicious food, friendly, welcoming staff and it's kept that General Store atmosphere. Yay!

A couple of my high school classmates bought this store and it’s a hopping joint! A little bit of everything for everyone, from basic provisions and retail to a good wine and beer selection. Excellent fresh made food offerings, interior is old style homey but bright, and staff is super friendly. Not far from the highway, great for a laid back pit stop.

Delicious food and coffee! Best egg sandwich in VT and they have a deliciously handsome mascot named Mel!

Incredibly busy @12:30 turnovers and cheese danishes were sold out, oh well...

Visiting Brattleboro for the weekend, me and girlfriend stumbled upon the cozy little place. As we where beginning our journey home to southeastern MA. We decided a quick stop for a bite and some water would serve us well. We got a breakfast sandwich and coffee. As we waited for our order the most pleasant feeling or relaxation and calm laid over me. The atmosphere of the place was soothing and peaceful. The food was delicious and the people were so friendly and kind. Something about the place made us sit outside and take in the simpleness of the weekend. Truly a fantastic experience. Highly recommend stopping by when your in the area.

Twice now, I have used the Guilford Country Store to provided catered meals for large group gatherings and both times the food has been outstanding. Delicately cooked salmon, delicious, flavorful salads and don’t get me started about the gazpacho, brownies and raspberry crostatas. Everyone at our events raved about how delicious the food was. And the best part was, all I had to do was pick it up and serve. Ali and her team are very professional, delivering high quality food at restaurant standards. I highly recommend them and plan to use their services again and again. Thank you Guilford Country Store, for saving me from a lot of stress and allowing me to be the gracious and calm hostess I like to be.

I had the breakfast burrito with eggs and sausage, while my wife had one with black beans, as well as a scoop of roasted brussel sprouts. The price was very reasonable, and we'll be leaving here with a maple cream puff.

Breakfast served until 11am on most days. I got a delicious vegetarian breakfast burrito with sharp cheddar and good mild salsa. Very solid option for a reasonably priced filling meal. They also have tables and a good space for posting up. It was not at all crowded on a Friday morning.

My home away from home. Love the breakfast sandwiches on Portuguese muffin, flank steak, and most of all, the Asian slaw. The food is made from scratch and prepared with care. This is a chef owned and operated cafe. The owner is up early preparing the food and baking deserts and pastries. The hours honor people who start their day early, a tradition in Vermont.
I really appreciate this cafe, which offers our young people a supportive opportunity for workplace development.

Wonderful service. Fantastic vegan burrito and lovely coffee! Super grateful for high quality vegan options, only note would be to ask if the customer wants the sour cream especially given that it's a vegan burrito! Not bad at all, really chill and homey environment.

This store is so great! Amazing breakfast and lunch options. Love the variety. And the best part is the prices....the best in Vermont for a quality lunch. I wish it was closer to me....I come whenever I have time.
The owner Ali West also worked for years in the Brattleboro schools, bringing fresh local farm foods into the cafeteria so major bonus points for that! Come here!

We happened to be driving through, with a hungry crew. My wife pointed this place out, and the food was delicious without a doubt. The people were helpful and kind, and we were thrilled with this delightful find. My wife loved the salmon on her plate. I had the Italian sub and it was great!

I regularly get things from the deli and bakery, and all have been outstanding. So I had Guilford Country Store cater a party and make a birthday cake for my daughter. Everything was delicious, and they were a joy to deal with!! I highly recommend!

Food was tasty and staff was friendly. It was a good stop for sandwiches and cupcakes - we were happy :-)

The staff is warm and friendly! Very clean. And the food! Oh, I just don't have enough words for this delishisness! The pulled pork and Sesame noodles were a favorite with my picky grandchildren! And those chocolate chip bacon cookies! I think I died and went to heaven. My weight would be in serious trouble if I lived closer!!

The new ownership and management is taking their love of the town and putting it into the Store. Great food. Good atmosphere. Local products and ingredients. The staff is so very friendly and if you are local chances are you will know someone there. If you aren't local you will feel just as welcome.
