Discovery Bicycle Tours

I definitely made some great memories on a 4-day Discovery bike tour of 4 FL&GA islands. Our guides, Greg and Eric, went above and beyond to ensure everyone in the group enjoyed themselves and was safe. The planning and equipment was superb, while the cost was reasonable. Beautiful scenery and fun rides!

It was the most amazing, beautiful, fun trip ever! Our guides were top notch! They were generous with their knowledge and gave personal insights we otherwise would not have received. I will highly recommend this tour to anyone and if we ever do a European trip again we will request both Mariam and Rosita as guides.

Fantastic bicycle tour to Lake Champlain Islands with Discovery Bike Tours! Everything is taken care of from hotel, dinners and extra activities. Views on the bike routes were breathtaking. Our tour guides, Becky and Jim, were the BEST!! Go, go, go. You’ll love it!

We thoroughly enjoyed our Lake Champlain bike tour with Discovery bike tours. It was well organized, well planned and the tour operators were communicative, helpful and knowledgeable. The places that we stayed were wonderful, the meals were excellent and the paths we went on were beautiful. We especially liked the app on our phone which gave us all directions and allowed us to bike at our own pace. We would definitely use Discovery bike tours again for future trips!

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our Lake Champlain bike tour with Discovery bike tours. It was well organized, well planned and the tour operators were communicative, helpful and knowledgeable. Our guides, Sue and Lauren, were very nice and helpful. And as an added bonus the owners Scott and Thistle join us on our tour and we enjoyed riding with them as well. The places that we stayed were wonderful, the meals were excellent and the paths we went on were beautiful. The app on our phones made the navigation very simple much like in a car, and allowed us to go at our own pace We would definitely use Discovery bike tours again for future trips!

We just got back from a wonderful Discovery Bike Tours trip on Martha's Vineyard. The leaders Yvonne and Lauren were attentive and overall very good. The hotel we stayed in was top notch, possibly the nicest place we ever stayed on a bike tour. And the island was so scenic and beautiful. This was our 5th tour with Discovery, and we already have another planned with them for the fall.

What a wonderful tour. The Coast of Maine Tour on Dessert Inland takes place in beautiful Acadia National Park the scenery is out of this world. We stayed at Bar Harbor Inn, great rooms, great views, outstanding serves and staff. Our tour guide Wayne and Cindy were first class, we couldn't have asked for more. PS we eat like kings. It is are to explain you gained weight on bike tour. :)

The Michigan Lakes & Trails bike tour was fantastic. Everything about it was great -- the routes, the guides, lodging, restaurant recommendations, bikes. The guides were knowledgeable, industrious, courteous, and FUN.

This tour in northern Idaho is by far our favorite! Unbelievable scenery and majority of miles on dedicated bike trails. Leaders and accommodations stellar. Will recommend this tour of our friends and family. The e bike option was an added bonus.

Bill and Eric were excellent tour leaders! The trip along Natchez Trace was amazing! They took care of everything!

My husband and I just returned from a bike/hike/float tour in Vermont based in Woodstock. We were with old friends and others we met on the tour. We had a wonderful time. Our guides, Jayne and Beth Ann, could not have been more caring, knowledgeable and detail oriented. They were fabulous. The whole experience was wonderful!

Fourteen friends went on private guided tour of Cape Cod. Everything was excellent!
Company is terrific to work with. We have done 5 rides with them! All great!

We did the Idaho Trails Bike Tour recently and it was incredible!

Just back from the Netherlands Bike & Barge. 4th tour we’ve taken over nine years. Each tour has been wonderful. Great support, interesting locations. Great accommodations. Highly recommended.

I must say you have a great thing going. Starting from the quality of your bikes and the completeness of the fit out. Cell phone holders, saddle bags, water bottle holders and provided water bottles. The phone map system showing routes, and key places very helpful. The transport van comfortable, and the bike trailer looked like well equipped to handle any situation that could occur. Comforting knowing tools and even spare batteries following us. The accommodations where great and the events and meals well thought out and we enjoyed all. I really liked the ride at our own pace, but enough time lines given to keep us on track. Nice Job. And enjoyed the visits with you.

Having said the above the biggest asset was the quality of the young ladies we had as our tour guides.
Sue – Calistia (Fav Cuz) from the moment we met them could tell it was going to be a fun trip. This is first time to for us on a group tour. I have always been autonomous and on our own. Being 60 and trying something new I had some concerns, ie. Would I keep up ? Sue and Calista always expressed confidence in us, and made things at ease from the start. They are Rock Stars and fun to be around, always available if needed something. Loved the “Map Raps” could tell they knew in detail our routes with current info on avoiding potential obstacles. Felt like they must have been out riding routes over night before each day. They were quick to make adjustment to routes (and bike) to make the trip care free. I know they were working hard to make things seem as carefree as it was, Much appreciated.

If you are reading this review, wondering if you should give Discovery a try, the answer is a resounding yes. The days are filled with fabulous routes, excellent instruction and well-maintained bikes, fun/interesting stops and always...good food. We will dream of the chocolate and pecan croissant which we ate in Sutton, Quebec Province, for the rest of our lives. And that was only one of the delicious items we found along the way on our recent trip from No. Vermont into Canada. The other travelers were friendly and welcoming. Even the weather cooperated while the foliage made the landscape even more magnificent than it would be if only green. The accommodations were very good and best of all, no one laughed at my willing, school-girl French. This is a great trip. Just go.

An exceptional experience on the Gettysburg tour. Discovery's attention to detail is superb. Our guides, Bill and Andy, were contentious, thoughtful and extremely well prepared. On top of that, they were loads of fun. We stayed at top of the line properties and ate some of the best food around. Every day, there was beautiful countryside, interesting side trips and safe, well planned routes. I highly recommend this company and am looking forward to my next vacation with them.

Crater Lake & Scenic Bikeways Tour - Nature provided spectacular sights. What nature did not provide, was provided by Discovery Bicycle Tours and their excellent team. I highly recommend this tour and this tour company.

We recently returned from our 5th tour with Discovery. This time to the Lake Champlain Islands. The tour routes were well designed, the equipment provided was well maintained, and the tour leaders provided excellent support. Restaurants and Inns were wonderful.
Discovery has always met or exceeded our expectations and this trip was no different. Five stars for Discovery!

Our first bike tour with Discovery Bicycle Tours was outstanding! Great communication before, after, and during the trip. Guides were fun, informative, and knowledge about bikes/biking and the tourism in the area. Accommodations were top notch. We won't vacation anymore we will "tour" with Discovery!
