Lovely little oasis right next to Route 1 aka "The Boulevard," to most Philadelphians. Isolated with a garden society area, a radio-controlled model airplane park and substantial paved walking trails. I go there to talk around the World on my Amateur (Ham) Radio, being careful not to step on the R/C aircraft frequencies. The park is right next to the local Veterans Home so please be respectful.

Love it here! So peaceful even though it's right off the Boulevard. Grat walking trails and a bathroom

This park is a hidden unexpected gem 💎 located in North East Philadelphia. It’s almost 300 acres and includes walking trails 🏃🏾‍♀🚶, picnic 🧺 areas, hiking 🥾, community gardens 🥬🥕🍅🪴 complete with bee 🐝 hives and a Radio Controlled Airplane ✈ Club ! It borders the Poquessing Creek on the north. This is a great 😌 place for a run , walk or enjoying the scenery.

Love coming here with my kids and husband. Perfect for younger kids with it not being overwhelmingly long, liked stopping to read the boards, seeing deer and enjoying the time to bond with the family. Beautiful spots for pictures too!!

This nature refuge is just blocks from Roosevelt Blvd. Finding the car entrance was a little tricky, but once you're in, parking lots are in 3 locations around the park. The trails are generally flat and offer paved sections for biking and strollers. PHS provides community garden space onsite with water access. We went slightly off the trail to find Poquessing Creek and a shady watering hole being enjoyed by kids. There are restrooms with plumbing and there are kiosks with maps and interpretive signage on the trails. On a summer afternoon visit, we saw a fox, rabbit, lots of butterlflies and a variety of birds.

I love this park. It's a real hidden treasure, shockingly big for being right off main roads.
I am a new gardener there this year (they have community garden plots) and it's lovely to drive up and park...
I always see people walking dogs or biking or etc

Deer Hunting allowed. Lottery approved, close to the city, located off of state rd in Bensalem. Easy access of 95 North or South at Street exit, open office should you have a questions, rules are inforced. Public pool area picnic areas, handicap accessible or running trail, or if you are into bicycling, access to the Delaware River for fishing, not sure if they have a boat ramp. Great to bring your family or find some solitude. Not far from Philadelphia, free swimming pool. Clean Bathrooms,

I work near here. The place always looks kept up with and I see people using it's walking paths. Not a lot of foot traffic and must have parking for people who drive up here to exercise for their daily walks

Very nice, clean walking trail. Not crowded. In my two years going I’ve seen several snakes, one fox, a frog, and always deer. Good nature experience for children that like wildlife.

This is a really nice and peaceful park for short hikes and picnics. They have lots of green grass and open space, free restrooms and plenty of parking. I will be visiting again!

It's a simple park with a peaceful atmosphere. It's mostly good for dog walking, runs, bike rides etc. Not comfortable during the hot summer, but there is some shade by a few large trees and especially in the wooded section of the trails which are very spacious and well kept.

The community garden is always active (must apply) and the RC airplane club seems interesting and often has hobbyists flying their planes. There is a water spicket by the garden if you need it.

Beautiful and large space. More so for walking, jogging, hiking, etc. Never too crowded. There are multiple parking areas as well. The bathrooms are super clean and environmentally friendly. There is a really cool remote control airplane field in the back where professionals fly them and you can watch. Easy to access. However, for those with kids, I do not think there's any type of playground. And I'm not 100% on this but I do believe there's a community garden.

Quiet. I came here to have a picnic for one. To read a little bit & enjoy some nature.
A few of the gardeners from the garden club were tending their gardens today.

Just a stones throw away from where the old Byberry Mental Asylum stood. A very peaceful place to walk or chill. Just watch out for the dog ticks if you're wearing shorts and wading through the tall grass.
