When walking on a cold day on the canal. Could not believe all the wild life we saw. Saw two bucks next to each other. There was a black duck and a huron not five feet from us. Just stood there and let us walk by. We also saw a fox. And to top things off we saw an american eagle high up in the tree. It was like walking through a nature preserve.

The canal steers inland here so there’s allot to see on both sides of the water. Heron, Mallards, occasionally there are beaver dams, and deer herds can be seen crossing the canal. The stretch between Blackrock and Yardley lock is very scenic year round

Great section of the canal, there is parking on either side of the road by the canal path, and it's only a 1.5 mile walk into downtown Yardley. Lots of wildlife to watch as you walk (or bike) along the canal path, and cute houses line the path as well.

There’s a bathroom, some picnic tables and parking lots in this area.

Excellent place to park your car and access the canal towpath. Heading nord you will cross the Yardley Borough (be careful especially if you ride, bridges are low). Going south you will see the canal becoming wide and shallow, with water plants covering the surface.

Flat and easy on the feet. Lots of wildlife to see at times. Can be super busy at times.

Good place to park. There's a porta potty in a covered shed, plus a few picnic tables. There isn't much immediately to the south (so if you want to do the trail yourself, go this direction), but it's a pleasant run to the north to Yardley and back.

My favorite place to go to ride my bike or walk my dogs. Please don't come here though, not a lot of people here which is why we come here😉

I like it there its quite and we can walk for hours very relaxing. I haven't been fishing there ,don't know if we can but I've seen a few fellows fishing. O and it's pretty clean there too

I did not expect to discover such an idyllic representation of the quintessential American summer replete with happy children biking, people walking their adorable dogs, people fishing, etc. This trail felt like the best possible Americana imaginable, I kept gasping at the fusion of natural beauty and Americana. I did not want to leave. This was heaven.

It's a very long, fine gravel walk- and bike-way, but I have a road bike, and its tires would be quickly worn down on such a surface, so I rode a little way eastward and took a long ride on River Road, with the Delaware River always in view, and on the other side, wealthy real estate. Easy riding, nearly level, all a little bit below sea level. No shoulder, but the passing vehicles were courteous enough.

I was looking for a trail to run and bike once I moved to the area. This is perfect! It has 2 ways you can go and goes on in at 4 miles in each direction without the trail getting too small to ride!

Great, beautiful, for hiking, biking, walking, that will take you lots of cool places along the way. I grew up by the canal and loved every second of it. Good fishing too btw.
