McLanahan's Downtown Market

I like this place for its beers. This is the only place in state college which has beer taps that you can operate on your own. So the concept is that you can buy a card and top it up with some money and you can based on how much beer you take from the tap. It's definitely cheaper than other bars and they have a fairly good collection of beers. You can also buy some food or cheese and crackers from their grocery section to have it with the beer. There are some decks of cards at the tables as well.

Great organics and selection of healthy products. We loved our breakfast and finding Waldo was a blast hiding in a bit of sweet & sour..♡

This store is difficult to rate. There's beer, groceries, snacks, sandwiches, and school supplies. I occasionally shop here for the groceries when we need something at home, I'll stop in for some snacks to share when I want to bring some to a meeting, but most frequently I make a cookie run here with my coworkers. We love how easily we can pop in, get a delicious cookie, and take it back to enjoy at our desks. My favorite is chocolate chunk, though I sometimes get the peanut butter cup cookie instead. There have been some days where I've gotten both... it was worth it.

Self-serve beer? With a great selection?? You can pour any amount you want, what an idea for tasting different types. Friendly and convenient. Great deli. Give this place a try!

Great place for PSU merchandise and general food supplies. Good prices also.

Contains my favourite pub in State College (A's) where you pay as you pour a fantastic selection of craft beer, wine and cider. A must experience in State College! Good selection of stock in the supermarket itself. Amazing sandwiches at the deli counter in the back!

It's very convenient to have it so close to campus, and I love their deli (especially the Tuesday burger special).

The new beer garten is spectacular. My friends and I love the Thursday/Friday $2 beer deal. Fun and relaxed with really nice wooden tables and stools. There's a couple of older gentlemen that generally frequent there and seem to make a bit of the people uncomfortable but overall a great experience

They're very friendly, respectful, polite, fast at there work.
And they're very clean. They usually have what I'm after which is a good thing

Love the deli counter at McLanahan's :-D Reasonably priced deli sandwiches with generous portions! Kind staff that's always been very helpful and friendly. We love to grab a beer at A's Pub inside to go with our sandwiches too! We feel so lucky to have our favorite bar and our favorite lunch place in one location 😊

The place provides a small market feeling within itself. It has a bar, beer taos, a deli, and mostly packaged food items for quick bites.
A go-to place for everyone in the town.

This place has everything! I come by all the time and it has just about anything I can think of

The deli rocks. High quality meat, bread, and cheeses, very reasonably priced (checkout Meatball Mondays!). The self-serve bar is also great. The only downside for me is that other people have now discovered it so the bar section tends to be busy during popular hours.
