Okinii Modern Japanese

My toddler aged daughter and I went in on a Friday night and were immediately seated by a friendly waitress. My daughter had a craving for noodles [as all toddlers do]. She had the side order of Hibachi noodles and an appetizer of edamame. I had the hibachi steak dinner. Wonderful choice!
The side order of noodles was an excellent choice- perfect size for an excellent price.
My dinner was HUGE for the price. Steak was excellent.
This place is down the road from my house. Will definitely come back.

It's so cozy inside. The service was pretty good. The food is fantastic and the sushi was super fresh. I will definitely be going back!

When I first walked in I love the look of the restaurant. We were seated right away. My daughter really wanted sushi and I wanted to try General Tso chicken. We saw the sushi pizza and thought it would be a fun app. The pizza sushi was great! The salad that came with the meal was normal for sushi places. There was one big slice of tomato that was mushy and not very appetizing. But the rest of the salad was ok. My daughter thought her sushi was good. The wasabi and ginger for the sushi didn't seem very fresh or good quality when I tried it. I like both on my sushi so it has an impact on the over all flavor if they are not sharp clean flavors. I got the hot tea which was good. The waitress was attentive in keeping it full which I really liked. I asked for my General Tso chicken really really spicy. They delivered with lots of hot peppers in the dish, I was impressed. It has presented nicely with garnish and the steamed broccoli was prepared well. It hit the spot and my daughter and I enjoyed our first experience at Okinii.

I love okinii. This is my go to spot for sushi or sashimi. The quality is always very fresh and I haven't had anything that I don't like. The wait staff is very pleasant and the atmosphere is awesome. The restaurant does not feel super confined which most sushi places have that vibe. I've been to Japan and thought after eating sushi there it would never be the same. I can safely say that okinii is the closest thing to Japan.

This place hands down best in all area! It crushes every other restaurant. The sushi incredible! Super fancy, fresh, clean, diverse, and it caps other sushi restaurants. The service is fast, attentive, friendly, calm and just a great peaceful night. Many people should go here, and stop buying sushi from the grocery stores, go get authentic and diverse here.

The sushi was absolutely phenomenal! The quality of their fish was above my expectations. Each delicious morsel has the perfect balance of rice, fish, and flavour. If you are ever in the mood for some top notch sushi, I highly recommend getting your fill here!

Okinii Downingtown is hands down, the best Sushi in all of Chester County PA. Great atmosphere and the staff is always friendly. Chefs are fast, and the quality and taste are unmatched by price-point. Every menu item we have tried is excellent, but my favorite is the Sushi-Pizza. The wife has to have the Pink-Lady Roll every time without fail. If you are in the area and are looking for sushi, look no further than this gem, hidden in plain view!

This is our sushi place in the area. Good and friendly service. The rock shrimp is tasty and every roll we have gotten is super good and fresh.

Got two rolls to-go on a Friday night about 30mins before they closed. Absolutely delicious and fresh. I've gotten takeout at many sushi places in the area (Exton, Dtown, Lionville, Malvern, etc.) and this place takes the cake. Bravo.

First of all, 3 rolls for $13.95 is unbeatable. But better than that, they are seriously tasty! The spicy rolls have a really balanced flavor. No additional wasabi was necessary. And the Philly roll was also well balanced. The TV was quiet enough that I could tune it out and watch my kdrama. I see myself visiting again in the future.

The atmosphere is calming and relaxing. The light is low and the volume near the kitchen was too. The tables and booths were clean and spacious. This made it enjoyable for a first time customer. The wait staff was patient and did not take too long to refill drink. It should be noted that when we ordered our food the restaurant was not too crowded. There are at least two TVs placed in view of the area I sat, showing two different shows. I enjoyed the options. I don’t think the volume was turned up on either TV. The food tasted extremely fresh and was clearly made from quality produce. The bill was to be expected at a fresh seafood place making the bill for each meal around $15 to $19 per plate with tax.

This place has been excellent through the pandemic. Orders are always correct and delicious! I usually get the 3 sushi roll lunch special; it's as good as it was before everything closed down. The pickup window is also no contact, which is great. I highly recommend supporting this local business!

The service is incredible I got my water in under 20 seconds. I could not stop eating my food it was so good. Definitely recommend this place.

We got the Downingtown roll, Seared Mango roll, and the Deep Fried Summer roll. All were delicious! I thought I'd be taking a gamble ordering takeout sushi during a pandemic, but it was the best I've had in a really long time. Everything was really fresh tasting and the rolls were very distinct. We will definitely be regulars from now on.

This has become my family's favorite restaurant. The food is always amazing, the restaurant clean, and the staff is so friendly. This is the best sushi place around... presentation is done in such creative ways. The food is fresh. I've been here at least 15 times since it's opened, and will continue to support this local business. Come check it out!

I ordered online and my food was late, it was cold, I froze while I waited. But, the employees were very polite, didn't look as if they were being lazy, and the sushi is quite good. Since there's no place else that compares I'll just order earlier and continue to be patient.

I normally do take out but decided to dine in this past visit. I was a little disappointed that the only Sushi Boat they had cost upwards of $50, but apart from that everything was great. The service was prompt, food tasted great, and it's BYOB. I will definitely continue to frequent this establishment.

ALWAYS my favorite go-to sushi place! Their food is DELICIOUS!!! I have ordered take out here regularly and it is never a bad experience. Staff is nice and the service is fast and friendly!
