Had an amazing dinner and the lobster bisque is absolutely delicious and the Norwegian Salmon with brocolli, shredded carrot and jasmine rice with lemon and butter. It was top notch!

Delicious food, lovely atmosphere, beautiful old inn. Other than it's expensive, it's a very nice restaurant. I don't know why we didn't clone here sooner.

A great experience! The owner, Michael, was very welcoming and hospitable! Mark, our server was wonderful! We started out with cocktails in Gertie's Tavern then had a fantastic meal in the beautifully renovated dining room which was so clean and bright! The table was one of a kind and the seats were very comfortable! The nautical decor was was perfect. Loved the place so much that I bought a shirt with the Ship Inn logo as a souvenir of the experience and restaurant! Highly recommend! Wishing the Ship Inn much success ☺

This place is a gem with a really unique history! I tried this place for the first time over the weekend and we had a great evening enjoying the food and the ambiance. The food was delicious and our service was excellent from top to bottom. I tried the Wienerschnitzel for my entree and I will probably get it every time I return now. - it was that good!

Before we left, we ran into the owner and he took the time to explain the history of the restaurant and the many colorful patrons who have visited over the years.

Overall, this is a gem for the area and we had a wonderful night out!

Dear Michael and Gertie Person,

We would like to take the time to express our appreciation for our father’s retirement dinner experience at the Ship Inn. We chose to hold our special event at your restaurant for the fine dining experience, great service, and spectacular food. This is why we were not surprised that your restaurant held up its wonderful reputation yet again for our family and our guests. The Rose Room was private and met our needs. Everyone had nothing but wonderful things to say about the service. Each individual entrĂ©e was delicious. Your servers (Carrie & Evelyn) also assisted our guests with elegance and speed as they took care of everyone’s needs.

Due to this outstanding presentation and service, we will continue to dine at the Ship Inn for special occasions and continue to recommend your restaurant to our family and friends. We are definitely glad we decided to hold our celebration at the Ship Inn and are hoping that you will stay in the area for many more years to come!

A hug from us to all of you!

With much gratitude,

The Wyatt-Westbrook Family

A friend and I were planning to meet for dinner in the area, and picked the Ship Inn. Despite the mixed reviews, there were a couple of items on the menu that looked interesting. So glad we took the chance. My friend had the Hungarian Filet Beef Tips and I had the Wiener Schnitzel, both accompanied by the spaetzli and mixed vegetables. Both of our mains were delicious and the spaetzli was exceptional. The green beans were fresh and prepared perfectly, with just the right amount of crunch. The carrots were a tiny bit overcooked, but still tasty. In a rare move for both of us, we ordered the warm chocolate cake for dessert, which we shared. We agreed that it absolutely made the meal, it was delicious!

Our server Steve was also an important part of this memorable experience. He was absolutely professional and attentive, but also personable and conversational (without overstepping in to "chatty"). Terrific experience all around, I'll be back.

Just got home from a phenomenal evening at this establishment. The food itself already gave this place a 5 star review in my opinion. The crab cakes were probably the best I have ever had and everything else just complimented it to the extreme! The owner Mike was fantastic and after our perfect meal gave us a little history lesson and tour through the building! I couldn't have been happier with the experience and absolutely plan on being back soon! It is a perfect place for special occasions and a little extra. - Austin S

We decided to sit outside on the patio with the pleasant weather and had a great experience. The service was spot on. Sara did a great job. The food was awesome, steak just melted in your mouth & the crabcake was delicious. The pork chops were tender & delicious and the wine was was reasonably priced, not to mention the dessert to top it off. Chocolate martini and chocolate cake, doesn't get much better than this!!!

Dined here yesterday . While I'm not a fan of casual dining, I did find the new airy remodel nice. The Norwegien Salmon was very good as were the cheese crepes for dessert. Harry , our server, was pleasant and attentive. I'm glad that the original dining rooms are intact and look forward to returning in the fall to the cozy rooms and fireplaces.

I had the opportunity to share a quiet meal with my wife at The Ship Inn for Valentine's Day. Harry our waiter, was polite, courteous, & friendly. The food was on point. I had the Surf and Turf and my the filet. Done right and as asked for. I would recommend the The Ship Inn Coffee for a desert drink! Definitely will be there again.

Father's Day Dinner-6/15/14

Took my husband to dinner last Sunday. Food, service & ambience was great!

He chose mushroom soup & salmon w/tangerine sauce & I had the crab cakes(I think the best I've ever eaten). Dessert-cheese cake crepes--decadent!!

We're only 2 miles away--- will return. Pat/Frank

Always a great meal. Love the new decor, and enjoy meals on the patio. Our favorite waitress, Carey is remarkable. We dine there at least once a week.

Our Thanksgiving meal at the Ship Inn today was extraordinary! The turkey entre was delicious and moist. It was accompanied by dressing, mashed potatoes, green beans, carrots and sweet potatoes. Everything was delicious!! Being that this was the first time we had ever dined out on Thanksgiving, we were a little hesitant. Jack, our server, was brilliant. He helped to make this experience a special one!
