Limerick Diner

It was chilly and rainy yesterday which put my daughter and I in a mood for some soup. Limerick Diner is under new ownership so we decided to stop by for a bite. We ordered French onion soup, which is my favorite, and gravy fries, which are my daughter's favorite! The wait staff was very nice and we got exactly what we ordered.
The French onion soup was absolutely delicious and the gravy fries were so good! You get your choice of what kind of gravy you want too, brown or chicken flavored. When it came time for dessert, our waitress suggested that we take a look at all the desserts in the dessert case in the front of the diner, so we did... Oh my goodness! There are so many yummy desserts to choose from: cakes, pies, cookies, sticky buns, danish, cannolis, etc. Geesh! They all looked so tempting, we couldn't decide so we picked out 3 different desserts to share! One to eat there and the others to take home. The cashier was very nice and told us that her daughter was the manager and that they even have a baker on site! That they bake the desserts right there so they are always fresh and delicious! The diner and bathrooms were clean and there is plenty of parking.

We had great service by Sue and Ashley. My husband picked up some take out. He said they were very helpful. He loved his French onion soup and meatloaf dinner. I loved the chicken croquette dinner. Best mashed potatoes around here. The pies are delicious. We had cherry and banana cream. Previous meals there have been great too! Finally found a restaurant that is consistent in delicious foods!

My husband and I were looking for a place to stop and have lunch/dinner 2 weeks ago and I have always liked the Limerick Diner so we decided to stop there. We both remembered that “The Flying Pig” (which is a part of the Diner) just recently opened and decided to give it a try.

My husband (who is a chef) likes to try everyone’s wings and French Onion Soup and I ordered the Bleu Cheese Burger. I am a very picky eater and this burger was perfection. One of the best I have ever had! The prices were also spot on. My husband loved the wings and the soup and said we should definitely come back and try some other items on the menu.

We then went to the diner side because I ALWAYS have to get something from the dessert case each time I visit. There is such a yummy selection to choose from and it’s hard to choose just one. 😁 Yes, I chose 3!

The staff were extremely friendly and accommodating. Especially Heidi our server and Sue the manager who we met at the dessert case and went out of her way to make sure we had a pleasant visit.

Good diners are very had to find anymore. If you’re looking for some good “home cooking,” and great people, visit The Flying Pig, and/or the Limerick Diner. It will definitely be worth the trip!

Met some friends there recently for brunch and can't say enough about how helpful our waitress Leona was. She was so pleasant and went above and beyond even as far as going outside to show direct me to a handicap spot when my sister saw me parking. The manager and woman that checked us out were very nice too. Food was delicious and more than ample.

My fiance' and I ate a wonderful dinner at the limerick diner tonight. The cedar plank salmon with mixed vegetable medley was cooked to perfection. The server AG was attentive to all our needs without being overly pushy. AG and Sue made our night out very enjoyable. Atmosphere was very clean. I will definitely return for another great meal.

Amazing food! Taste and presentation 100/10. Service is great and friendly. Very clean!

So, we just stopped for breakfast at the Limerick Diner which is under new ownership. The food is excellent you all have to stop and try it. What a difference the chef takes pride in what he serves all fresh and yummy. For those who are vegetarians the menu offers some good selections. 😍
Flying pig Tavern is on the side on it now. A little bit for all. Very clean and it’s nice to see the community gathering spot back serving good food and friendly staff. Kara our waitress was warm and friendly. Great overall experience.

The new owners own the Penrose diner in Phillie and a few other community favorites.

Worth giving a try you won’t be disappointed. 😍

Great experience large menu. Have not been in years under new ownership and highly recommend. Solid dinner experience! Nice to have a go to dinner in the area.

We were at Limerick Diner for a post-funeral reception today with 41 guests. Dominick and his team were absolutely the best. From the first call a few days ago through the entire planning process and meal service...everything was great. Our family and guests were pleased with both the quality and taste of our meals as well as the portion sizes. The servers were super attentive and everyone was super kind after an emotionally draining day. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! Thanks so much for helping us make a difficult day a bit brighter.

I love the newly done Limerick Diner! It’s very modern inside and out but I really love how they kept the traditional diner seating on the one side. I ate here with my 3 1/2 year old and they were very nice to her. We ordered pancakes, French Toast, home fries and milkshakes. The food was really good. The portions were large enough to take the rest home. The bathrooms were really clean. I’m definitely coming back!

The food has always been delicious and hot. The soup is the best around! I generally order chicken croquettes, which are delicious, tonight I ordered a French Dip. The meat was flavorful and tender, highly recommend! The staff is always polite and friendly, especially the owner. This has become one of our go-to restaurants!

This is a huge place. Service was excellent. Food was plentiful and delicious. 10/10 bathroom is not for the big cause it’s very tiny.

The food was excellent, the staff were very pleasant, the cheesesteaks egg rolls were the bomb. Everything here was made perfectly, and in general the food was off the hook! 10/10 experience, will gladly eat here again!

Food was amazing and staff is always very friendly. I’ve been eating here for a few months now and it’s always been great. Best restaurant in town!

All around, great place, food, service, and staff. My only gripe is ordered a strawberry 🍓 tart, which looked delicious 😋, but never got it. I was so full from my entrée that I forgot about it and left...it was on my bill, tho. Oh well, such as life. That won't stop me from returning this establishment has come a long way and it shows! Great work.

Our waitress was very nice she didn't give her name. The diner was n't busy maybe that's why we got served so quick.

Great food and service. Leaona was our server and she was awesome! Also loved the oldies music that they had playing. I love chicken francaise but I am always skeptical ordering it from anywhere other than an Italian restaurant.. This was hands down the best chicken francaise I ever had.

This is our second time here bc everyone asked to come back for the awesome food! Both brunch & dinner were great, and the service has been wonderful both times. The owner Dominick is very courteous and friendly. Can't wait to try the new BBQ side of the restaurant next!

I came here last night with my family and I love it. The food was great and my server was nice and friendly. I also meet Alicia the Manager she was very nice and knowledgeable about the food items on the menu, she came to ask if everything was ok and she made me feel very comfortable. I’ll be back soon & try something else.

Limerick Diner is under new ownership for at least a year. What an improvement from the old ownership. The atmosphere is bright, and clean and the employees seem really pleasant. My husband and I stopped for breakfast this AM after a Dr's appt and having Fasting bloodwork done. Needless to say we were both starving. Our server arrived quickly to the booth, gave us menus and then left us to help someone else for maybe 5 minutes, which allowed us to select a breakfast special. When she returned We told her we both wanted to two eggs homefries and toast special. We added 1 large and one small tomato juice and coffee (bottomless with a small juice added $3.99 to the $4.99 special, we also added another $3 for meat; 3 sausage links.). Our bill was around $25. We got HUGE portions of perfectly prepared food, and took half of it home for breakfast tomorrow! Our server was sweet, professional accommodating and I think it will be my husband's and my go to in the future for breakfast. They have great dinner specials too. I highly recommend the Limerick Diner ...its not at all like the old place!
