I heard getting tomato pie here is a must, so on our last work trip to the area, my husband and I had to try it.
We shared:
- Classic Red Tomato Pie
- Sweet Pepper Pie
- Pepperoni Pie
The classic tomato pie was fantastic. I'm no expert, but of the ones I've had in Philly, it's hands down the best.
I didn't realize the Sweet Pepper pie was just peppers and bread, so I probably wouldn't get that again. I did enjoy the Pepperoni, but the classic was so good, I would probably just get more of it next time.
The craziest part of this experience was how cheap it is. Each of the pies is between $5 and $6 and they're big. The three my husband and I got were too much food for the entire day.
There's no seating, so you have to take your food to go.
I'll definitely be back here next time I have a work trip!

I’m always on the lookout for a good Italian Bakery, and I’m glad to have found one so close to home. I found Corropolese a few months ago and I’ve been back several times since. I know a lot of people know this place (and their other locations) for their tomato pies, but don’t forget about the pastries and other desserts. There’s a whole display counter of just cookies. Then there’s multiple displays of donuts, buns, fritters, cannoli, eclairs, creme puffs, sfogliatelles, pies, cakes, etc., and that’s only one side of the bakery. There’s also other specialties like baklava and cannoli chip dip too. They sell rainbow cookies, pizzelle, and boxed panettone as well. They make a maple bacon donut that is an absolute necessity to purchase every time I’m there. Last time I was there, there was a caramel apple walnut pie that was just calling my name, so I’m excited to go back next week and pick one up for Thanksgiving. Everything here is well made, not overly sweet, just perfectly delicious. Do yourself a favor and go pick up a box or two of your favorite assortments.

Fantastic pastries and food. Expect a crowd, as people flock here, especially on holidays. Be a hero, bring a cake or some cookies from Corropplese to your next event or gathering!

Best tomato pie in town! We walked in on a very busy day and snagged a supreme tomato pie. This did not disappoint. The crust was crunchy, the sauce was sweet and the toppings were tangy. Great combo!

Great selection of baked goods..cupcakes, cakes, brownies, bread and cookies! Great selection of cookies, you can put your own assortment or buy one of the prepackaged assortments (available in different sizes). In addition to the Italian cookies they also have sugar cookies, brownies and chocolate chip cookies.

Love this neighborhood bakery. The rolls and breads are fresh, tomato pie is delicious and there's a nice variety of pastries at a reasonable price.

While visiting the area I stopped in for some muffins. They were great. Then I tried an ‘Old Fashioned’, also great. Then I was told about their cheese danish. This thing is at another level. I had to go back today for another!

We got fresh hoagie trays, delectable desserts, and the famous tomato pie for our family gathering, and everything was delicious! I think the hoagie trays came from Royersford :)

Can't say enough good things about Corropolese. Amazing food, good service, prices are really good for the quality. I highly recommend Corropolese if you ever need to bring something to a party. Unless you're going to an ironic party where everyone brings something that no one will like. You won't find that here. There may as well be a recommendation door with my name on it. GO HERE AND EAT FOOD. Also tomato pie is bomb. Do yourself a favor and get one of each.

Pros
Big selection one of the bigger selections for a bakery I have been too
Everything was reasonably priced
A few items bakery don't typically have like large strudel.
They even have someone that makes homemade donuts several days a week
Decent selection of breads, Stromboli and even pizza
The pumpkin cheesecake we got was really good
The brownie we got was OK but it had marshmallow on top which made it good but super sweet
Pumpkin strudel was really good
They had sfogliatelle which is hard to find in my area and was good
Cons
None really
It would be nice to see a few more Italian items but I understand it can be difficult to sell and even find some ingredients.
They have a big variety something for pretty much everyone.
They used marshmallow creme which doesn't have Gallatin and is OK for vegetarian, which was great.
Overall, I would definitely go back and recommend.

I actually did not stop in here for their infamous tomato pie, but picked up a few Donuts for myself and my family after my daughter's haircut next door, and their donuts did not disappoint! They were as fresh, and light and Airy as can be, and were delicious!

They have great Jewish rye bread! At a good price. Also love their tomato pies and the great selection of pastries. It's easy to preorder, pay ahead and then just have to pick up the order. The staff is always pleasant and helpful.

Love the fresh canoli. Their tomato pie is the best! They offer a great variety of Italian desserts, including (but not limited to) pies, Italian cookies, mini cakes, and cakes.

First time going to Corropolese and might I say, that one worker with the hat and short brown hair was extremely helpful with his recommendations and was very lively and nice. Overall I don’t usually give reviews however I was very pleased with the food and service.

I love all Corropolese Bakeries. I stopped in the Audubon store and grabbed a strawberry shortcake and 2 quarters of tomato pie for my grandfather's 93rd birthday 🎂

I haven't been here but my Brother and Sister in law are regular customers. I was staying the weekend and was treated to some fantastic tomato pie, white pizza with fresh sweet peppers. Later that night they brought out an Italian rum cake and sang happy birthday 🎂
It was the best Italian rum cake I have ever had. I'm so glad you guys are there, next time I travel that way I'll be sure to stop in and get some tomato pies and another Italian rum cake...wonderful stuff, keep up the great work 👍
