Momma Spriggs Restaurant

We stopped in for a meal before a basketball game at Dickinson and were VERY happy with our decision. The full parking lot was a good indicator that Momma Spriggs is a local favorite. We were seated quickly, had great service and loved our entrees. (My eggplant parmesean was DELICIOUS). Will return next time in the area.

First time here. Came in a semi and parked behind Lowe's.

My husband had the lasagne and described the sauce as robust, thick, and hearty. I had the crab cakes and they were thick and full of crab. They were no overpowered by any binder, and you could still smell the crab.

Our server was friendly, thorough, and punctual.

We will definitely be back one day.

My friend and I were on a work trip in the area. We didn't know where to go. I came here for the parrot salad! Our server was so kind and took good care of my allergies. She got us in and out, perfect for our meeting. We didn't try the desserts, but I think that's what they are known for. They were mouthwatering to look at.

Was there today just before the Friday evening rush. Place was very busy. Waitstaff was really busting it! Everyone was very friendly and extremely attentive. Food was very good! I had the fish special. I'd get it again for sure! Nice portions and priced quite surprisingly low for what you receive. I'm in Carlisle frequently to visit my son. Have driven past this place many times and always wanted to stop. Tonight they got a return customer! I'll definitely be back!

My husband and I love trying different and new restaurant’s all time. We happened to be in Carlisle, Pennsylvania and chanced upon this restaurant. We got in right before the dinner rush, we were greeted with a pleasant staff and then was seated instantly.

We had an amazing waitress, got our drinks quick and we started with an appetizer, Pretzel with crab dip. For some reason I thought it was going to be a bunch of small pretzels and dipped into crab dip. But it was an actual pretzel with cheese and crab dip on top of the pretzel. It did taste good but I was somewhat sad because I love crab and was hoping for more helpings of crab but it was very minimal.

I had Beef Tips with mash potatoes and gravy as my entree and my husband had a steak with blue cheese loaded on top with baked potato. I thoroughly enjoyed the beef tips, had a very flavorful taste, the gravy was great. It was cooked perfect and I ate my whole meal with zest. My husbands dish was ok, the steak was cooked to perfection. But the blue cheese was overpowering the steak so it wasn’t too tasty.

After the meal, we ordered dessert. I had the cherry cake and my husband had the peanut butter cheese cake. Both were amazing!! Frankly, the dessert through the glass all looked great so either choice, you can’t go wrong!

First time here, the club requires a big appetite which I thought I had lol. Very delicious. We also had the crab n asparagus soup which was delightful. I even got a dinner menu to go so I could check things out for next visit. Momma springs has great atmosphere and feels very welcoming. Maybe there should be a sign that says “y’all come back now, ya here!”

Been here a couple times, boyfriend’s parent’s favorite restaurant in Carlisle. My first time I got the Shrimp Scampi, it was a little greasy and too lime-y for me. Decided to try something different and got the Crabby Patty. It was soft and the taste was very good! I do recommend it! Service was good, we got our food pretty quick. It was also a pretty busy time when we went. Looking forward to try the what’s next on their menu!

If you like Black and Bleu in Mechanicsburg, you’ll enjoy this place too. It has a great atmosphere with elevated dishes. The desserts are delicious too. A+ Momma Spriggs!

I was visiting Dickinson College from out of town and I had dinner at Momma Spriggs restaurant. I’m a little bit of a food snob, not elite level, big definitely above average (no fast food for me). I would recommend this restaurant. I had salmon, a baked potato, cole slaw, and bread. The food was well prepared, tasted like I make at home, and the portions were good. The service was excellent. My water glass was kept full, my order was accurate, my food arrived hot and in a reasonable time, and I received everything I asked for without any attitude. The menu has something for everyone. And, for what I received, I thought the prices were right. I appreciate businesses that care about their product and pay attention to the quality and details Go eat at Momma Spriggs.

My husband and I ate here for our first outing since the birth of our first child. My only regret is not trying this restaurant sooner!! We will absolutely be returning. The food was perfectly cooked and in a timely manner. Our waitress was courteous and efficient. The busers kept the tables free of clutter. Just an all around wonderful environment!!!

Stopped by on our road trip across Pennsylvania. Thousands of stellar Google reviews can never be wrong!

Ambiance was excellent - right amount of light and dark, noise level, space.

The soup of the day was a decadent New England clam chowder with creamy goodness. The meatloaf was my favorite from our selections. The Caesar with surf & turf had a twist of the lettuce being scorched. Baja wrap, club sandwich, California burger, Buffalo chicken, chicken tenders & fries, aloha roll - all great orders that rounded up our table.

Dessert options were ok - not as stellar as the hot cooked foods, but not bad.

Most delicious homemade food in town! I've been eyeing this place for a while now. I'm so glad that we came. Each of our meals were absolutely delicious. Whitney was our waitress. She was phenomenal and so friendly. I had the Rancher Flatbread and chips. So delicious! Comfort food and light at the same time. We also had the special appetizer, Reuben Fries. They were to die for. Next time I'll get the Reuben Sandwich as the corned beef was perfectly cooked. I will be back! Soon!

We stopped here on our way to Massachusetts last month--the hotel we stayed at had recommended it too--as well as great reviews. Did not disappoint, food was good and reasonable. Stopped back on the way home too, and had the same waitress. Ask for Nicole, she's a sweetheart and a great waitress!

Went here for the first time for my birthday. Food and service were excellent, the atmosphere is clean and inviting. The carrot cake was hands down the best I've ever had!

My go-to restaurant every time I visit my Dickinson College kids. Great menu and food is always good. The Friday Fish Fry is not to be missed! The service is always friendly!

Best experience here, we came for lunch and started with the Ruben French fries appetizer. Then I got the fish tacos, great food! Best service!!! I will come home for dinner here one night. But this spot will be a regular for sure for our family. I finished off with the clam chowder and it was delicious!

I had to go to Carlisle and the people at Wells Fargo recommended this place to me. It was really good. I got the crab cake sandwich and seasoned fries. Nice atmosphere and good food!

The sweet and spicy shrimp was a hit...so glad I tried it. My chicken bacon flatbread was good and the homemade chips are always a must. The baklava cheesecake...oh my goodness!!!! Delicious...2 sinfully good desserts in 1...makes me almost want to just order that next time! Haha. Service was great...got us seated and our orders right away and kept my coffee filled.

Everything was excellent. Excellent service, outdoor seating, fast.. super fast! Great for families with small children. They give you coloring stuff and .. and.. giant fishy gram cookies! Kept out 14 month old busy busy. It was awesome! Who does that?! Best idea ever. Food all needed salt which is on the table. Obviously they are thinking of our parents, grandparents with low salt. Highly recommend.

On the recommendation of Emily K at Microtel we had dinner here tonight. The food was very good, prices were good and service could not have been better. We had the lasagna which was very good and the double pork chops. We did wind up bringing one pork chop home. Will definitely be coming back when we are the area.
