Newville Assembly of God (NewvilleAG)

My husband and I are new members of Newville Assembly of God. We attended midweek services for quite a while because my children loved the youth group. They felt accepted and like someone cared about them. They were learning so much and were making great friends. Pastor Mike, the youth pastor, is awesome. He gives it everything he’s got in ministry to these young people. While they went to Youth, my husband and I went to the Bible Study. We were also accepted right way and we were made to feel welcome. Pastor Jeff has a wealth of knowledge and insight to share. As of January 2023, we decided to become members of the church and now attend every Sunday and every Wednesday. No regrets! This church is filled with people who love people! They make us feel at home like we are part of the family. I love the time of worship and the depth of the teaching (the “ah-ha” moments) and how it helps to deepen my relationship with the Lord. This church cares about sharing the love of Jesus! If you are looking for a church to call home, you will be accepted here.

Love anywhere that praises God, teaching his words and the words of Jesus the lamb of God. I was in the back with a friend and couldn't hear. My friend gave me a pair of ear pieces with a little amp type thing you could turn up. I needed them to hear anything, as the atmosphere reminded me of eating at Cracker barrel restaurant. I may have been the only one who was trying to hear, as all others seemed to be talking to each other threw the whole service. It was very crowded, lots of people. Good place to socialize I guess, I would have gotten my butt beat for talking in church growing up. I would have also been the talk of the town for the week, lol. Praise God wherever he visits!!!

It’s been a little while, but this has been on my mind for a long time. My first time here was extremely awkward. When I was struggling to find a church as an adult I decided to visit this local church because a friend was on the worship team. I went with a female friend because I struggle with anxiety and boy, the looks we got when we came in they thought we were a couple I swear. They kept offering and encouraged the salvation prayer( I believe because we were new, sorry to disappoint). Tried to just leave peacefully after but we got caught up by a lot of people wanting to know our past. To their surprise we both grew up going to another assemblies and graduated from a Christian school. I don’t know how much weirder it gets there, Didn’t feel comfortable enough to come back.
