Mercy Fitzgerald Hospital

My 83 year old Mother was admitted to the ER on February 1st due to issues with her sugar levels. We were a bit concerned initially because my mother is a kidney recipient and we usually prefer she go to her provider hospital which is Jefferson University. Because she was taken by ambulance she was routed to the nearest hospital which is Mercy Fitz. The staff in the ER was great and she was eventually admitted to the 4th floor in room 441. The nursing staff in this ward was excellent! I can't say enough about how well they treated us and my mother. They were all caring, professional and did everything to make my mother as comfortable as possible until she was released to rehab. I am not sure about other's experiences, but we were pleasantly surprised by the care she received during her stay.

Triage nurse was rude. Wait time was very long and I understand that because needing a breathing treatment is not as severe as what some other’s come in for. The reason I gave 5 stars was because of the nurse I had tonight(male) and Dr. Daniel. They were very professional, kind and understood my needs.Also female nurse that did my -EkG (even though I didn’t need it, but I understand it was precautionary and Dr.orders! ) was pleasant as well. Thank you! I didn’t get any of your names but keep providing excellent customer service to your patients. 💚

Lisa, with blonde hair and maybe in her 20s, provided exceptional experience during my ultrasound appointment. Her professionalism and expertise were evident from the start, making me feel comfortable and at ease throughout the procedure. She was incredibly knowledgeable, explaining each step with clarity and patience. Lisa's warm demeanor and genuine care for her patients made the entire process smooth and reassuring. I highly recommend her for her remarkable skillset and compassionate approach to patient care. Thank you, Lisa!

The hospital usually doesn't have a wait time. I've been to the ER a couple times and I was taken immediately to registration and then triage and to a room without ever taking a seat in the waiting room. Most importantly for me the staff is friendly, knowledge and highly motivated to make sure your visit is handle promptly and professional. I highly recommend this hospital.

Igive this hospital 5 stars because whn it comes to my condition Hidradenitis Suppurativa they are very aware and experienced with this skin condition. They even have a clinic and doctors specifically for this condition. Im always treated VERY WELL and they always do what is needed an works best. They try their best to be as gentle and leave me with little to no pain! And inever feel criticized because like isaid they are very well knowledgable in this condition ihave. INFACT this hospital disgnosed me with it and because of them iwas able to control it…iRARELY breakout now because ive been able to educate myself and learn my body based on wht is exactly going on with me. Ifeel every hospital has their own expertise and ifeel mercy fitz really fits skin conditions. They surgeons there are very gentle and patient! Mercy fitz is the reason why ihave a respect for surgeons…tonight Dr.Hand took care of me and he was exceptional as well as therapeutic and calming. When it comes to care everything isnt always about the big names we always see..stick wht works for you and mercy fitz is ALWAYS my first go to! THANK YOU MERCY FITZ

Still kickin' so they can't be that bad. But I read darby went downhill overall

In order to keep your body in good shape, there are certain examine you have to have. One that comes to mind, is a colonoscopy. The preparation in exhausting drinking a nasty tasting concoction and you can’t eat for 24 hrs. You wonder where do you store all that waste. Omg, then the day comes, when you are put to sleep. What seem like minutes you are back waking up slowly. What makes the experience tolerable, the nurses, the Anesthesiologist and Doctor R. Amaral. His staff that works directly with him, so many I can’t remember the names but they were awesome. So just a few hours of total inconvenience just to make sure your health is moving right along.

Was here for an out patient procedure and I have to say. I was very comfortable and very well taken care of. I was in and out. the place was super clean and everyone who worked with me did an amazing job. Marie, Jenny and Pam. Thank you all so much. There was also a recovery room i was taken too right after surgery. I did not get tye ladies name but she was also very attentive and kind.

The security guard at the front desk name Miranda was extremely professional, helpful, and friendly. I believe the experience starts with the people at the front desk. Keep up the great work!

The doctors, nurses, and assistants are very professional, polite, and informative, and they were differently determined to fix my body. Went in experiencing severe pain. Left feeling much better, and everyone was very considerate.

Today I had the best encounter with a Doctor at Mercy Fitzgerald. Dr. Brad Bendesky went above and beyond the norm in addressing my concerns as a patient. Dr. Bendesky is the consummate professional.

The wellness center was excellent, little to no waiting. Pleasant, professional staff. Caring happy people attended to me. I would recommend Wellness center ( Sister Mary Lenahan Wellness Center) to anyone needing medical testing.

Pretty good easy to find where your going if u get lost ask a security guard they know the way and help u easily or ask the person at the desk

They took great care of me here. I was there for 3 days and didn't want for anything. Everything was explained in great detail to me.

Mercy hospital is really great ! I love them and the way they treat their customers.
Suite 2000 cross the mercy building I had a check up with dr Aisha Abdul. Appointment time was 145 I got there at 125 pm. They checked me in no one went in and out. I’m waiting waiting it’s 220 now no body. Then the front desk lady started giving me attitude and said I had an appointment at 115 and she give me favor to set me up with some different Dr. I replied why weren’t I told when I can in . Very bad experience with this office. Will never go back. They also have a manager who control over all these new residents Dr. What a great way to do business over these new drs

I truly can’t express the incredible professionalism n courteous care I was given!! From the ER all the way to my discharge! I was admitted for one day but from the Er nurses n doctors to the Eau n then to my actual room everyone was excellent!! So much caring n professionalism was just amazing! I felt like everyone treated me like family! So nice so sweet ! I would definitely come back n I would definitely recommend mercy Fitzgerald Hosp!!! Ty so much 😘

I've read through the negative reviews and have to ask, "were they actually at Mercy Fitzgerald???" Never, ever, have I been treated poorly. They certainly do NOT ask for your insurance info before asking what your medical problem is! There is a triage routine there, just like any other hospital. It is definitely NOT dirty! I am a middle aged woman who has been going there since I was a child. I had both of my, now grown, children there. I have always been treated with respect and compassion. It's very clean there. I've been to some less than ideal hospitals, so you can trust me on this. Yes, there are times when I was there for hours, but what some people fail to realize is that patients are treated according to the severity of their illness or injury. As someone who generally goes into the ER for painful injuries, I understand that heart attacks, head injuries, etc.... are more important than my painful back. All in all, I highly recommend Fitz!

My son injured his back during weightlifting. Our doctor told us to call an ambulance. My son couldn’t move his legs. The ambulance was from Clifton Heights and Mr Sweeney was so inviting and helpful. The other medic assisted my son onto the stretcher and then to the ER.
The lady behind registration was very nice
To talk to and kind and emphatic to our situation. Next, we met a nurse who took us to his Room waiting to wait for the dr. It was fast track. Very nice Pa came in to access him. Maria and her partner from Jefferson. They did a thorough assessment and then called the doctor. The doctor, Dr B, was so thorough and did many tests. The other assistant was Charfele. All of the staff that we interacted w while in the ER were passionate, hospitality, talented, and personable. We had a great experience at Mercy Fitz on 3-3-20 from 3 pm to 7pm. Thank you for taking care of my son. I highly endorse this “team”. They are well rounded and so positive. I hope they get recognized in some way.

I am always found all the nurses and doctors and even the people at the desk to be very accommodating and pleasant I'm more than willing to help you in any way that they can it's a shame other hospitals in the area didn't take a page from their book

Visited this hospital on many occasions for seizures and panic attacks. Ive yet to have bad customer service. The wait times are long usually, but that hospital is packed everytime i go in. Even if i did get someone rude, id understand because there job is very hard.
