North Mountain Butcher Shop

Great place to get meat, to the person that said the customer service sucks....well you're wrong...for 1 you need to realize this is a butcher shop, not Karnes or Giant, that being said everyone I've ordered and picked up meat from them they've always been professional...heck, the last time I was in to pick up meat I had my 3 yr old son with me and he was asking what everything in the shop was well, as I was loading up the meat, the owner showed him around the shop and told him what everything was and even showed him the walk in freezer/cooler and was laughing with my son...now I'm sorry but, that sure doesn't sound like poor customer service to me..... Keep up the great quality work guys !!!

Very professional, clean shop. These guys do an excellent job with sorting, vacuum packing, and labeling meat. Definitely a go-to butcher in the central PA area.

Very clean and organized. Besides selling in bulk, they have individual steaks for sale. Very well mannered Mom and Pop Owners.

This place a fast and effecient turned a deer in and got it back two days later. I had it take a month at another place.

Aside from the very kind and caring woman that came out and helped me and my children, the customer service here was not great and unprofessional. The lady was spectacular and the only reason I’d even consider going back. Upon entering, all the men helped another male customer and just stared at me and my kids without uttering a word or helping us. The lady helped us after coming out of the back and seeing us standing there. After our purchase a tall man with an apron on heard my daughter crying and getting mad about her brother (my daughter is 1.5 years old) and made a very rude and inappropriate comment about it being “obvious that she’s a woman”. She’s not a woman, she’s a toddler being a normal toddler. I was uncomfortable and left.

This butcher does not give back the same meat as the livestock you bring to him. In Feb 2016 we delivered a yearling bull calf for them to butcher and our rounds were the size of a large cow and so tough our kids can't even chew it. Even our best cuts were like this. The burgers had approx 40% white fatty meat which is another proof it was not our meat. We are still dealing with it almost 2 years later. Can't wait to butcher again but not at North Mountain Butcher shop. I am wondering if the 5 star review before mine is from the owner himself or maybe by the customer that received our meat.

Customer service is some of the worst I have ever experienced! Both times I was there it seemed like I was bothering them. They seemed irritated that I asked a few simple questions.
