This is a spacious tenting campsite for A.T. backpackers, but its proximity to Norfolk Southern railroad tracks makes a good night's sleep nearly impossible.

Little bit overgrown, lots of mosquitos, and it’s next to the train tracks.Trains shake the whole camp each time they come through and there is a road just ahead so they blast their horn right as they hit camp as well 😖. It’s nice that they offer hikers a free place to stay so close to town though.

There is also a handicap portapotty here but it’s nearly full supposedly serviced recently so someone is cutting corners.
