Swarthmore Flower and Gift Shop

I received this arrangement from my son on my birthday and I was so pleased. The quality of the flowers and the way they arrange them were perfectly done. My son is at Swartmore and wanted to surprise me well let me say I was. I will drive to this shop to get other flowers in the future. My camera is older and may not do them justice but in person they are just beautiful ❤

I had a great experience here when I ordered bouquets for my LEGO-themed wedding. They enthusiastically embraced my unusual request for mixed LEGO/real flower bouquets, and we were really pleased with the results!

I called early morning before they opened and the kindest, caring woman answered the phone. She treated me so good. A dozen red roses accented with silver (her idea) for our 25th anniversary were delivered to my wife at work same day before lunch. The arrangement (see photo) was beautiful making my wife's day that much more special. Thank you Swarthmore Flower and Gift Shop.

I received a beautiful bouquet from Swarthmore flower and gift shop almost 2 weeks ago, and they are just as bright and fresh looking, as the day they arrived. I would recommend them to brighten anyones day.

I know Mothers' Day is high demand, but my daughter ordered a planter with live plants on Monday before the weekend. I received a vase of bent and broken mismatched cut flowers which disappointed us both.

Planter for anniversary...wrote wrong address on delivery...had to track him.down on our street....when we called...basically was told...well you got them what's your problem....totally dissatisfied with customer service and planter...tried to enclose pics...leaves rotted with holes...plant also withered....was told a flower or 2 would be added....none....a butterfly instead....unbelievable.....its like because we didn't spend enough money we got the worse of what you had and treated with much disrespect

Absolutely this is the most horrible experience with any business that I have ever had. I had ordered flowers through 1-800 flowers and they assigned my order to Swarthmore Florist. When my sick friend received her flowers they were half dead. I called 1-800 flowers to complain. Swarthmore florist actually called my friend who received the flowers to say "I want my flowers back-if your not going to be there leave them on the front steps". When I heard this I called Swarthmore florist and spoke to Bridget who said she was familiar with this order but to hold on as she was getting the owner. Joy or Joyce got on the phone and said that yes she called my sick friend and that she wants the $22 ceramic pumpkin planter that held the flowers back asap! She wouldn't let me get a word in. She was upset because she was now not getting paid from the 1-800 flowers so she wanted everything back. I have never come across such a rude and disrespectable business talk or act this way. Joy or Joyce (I am not sure what her name was because of her very raspy voice-maybe a smokers voice) was insistence of getting that $22 pumpkin planter back with no regards to my sick friend. I am sure she's at her door as I type this banging away with no respect for a sick woman who just got out of the hospital. I really don't think she has respect or compassion for anyone! Joy or Joyce and this business needs to remember that your best source of advertisement is "Word of Mouth" from the people you deal with! Believe me I plan to tell anyone that will listen and everyone that I know!!!

Most Unfortunate Experience. Ordered sympathy flowers through 1.800.flowers for someone who had just lost their mother. Swarthmore Flowers was the florist they selected for the order. On the day they were delivered, the driver called me to tell me she left the flowers on the side of the house. I asked her if they were secure and could be seen by the recipient when she got home. She said "she guessed so". I asked her if she could just redeliver them the next day and she said no, she already left and wasn't going back to get them. Four days later, I received a call from "Joyce" at Swarthmore who said I gave my permission to leave the flowers on the side of the house (which I didn't) and proceeded to LECTURE me about the recipient being annoyed and calling her shop because she just found the flower arrangement strewn across her backyard and frozen FOUR DAYS after it was left on the side of her house (where I have since learned, there is no door, porch or anything. It was literally left on the side of her house! I was horrified after buying a deluxe arrangement and asked her if she was going to make it right. She said NO! So my colleague received dead flowers after losing her mother. So sad, not to mention embarrassing!
The shopkeeper was condescending, and quite rude.
Fortunately 1.800.Flowers was as horrified as the recipient and I, and sent a gorgeous arrangement from another florist who was polite and helpful.

This florist does not pay attention to detail. Very rude on the phone.
