My friend had a good experience here. When I would visit him the nurses and different staff would stop in and seemed really nice and helpful. He always had good things to say and I could he was being taken care and encouraged.

Although my husband died while at Kindred, the care that he received there was exceptional. His care team will always be special in my heart. Not only did they care for him, they were also my support and for that I am forever grateful!!!

This hospital is great. All workers were very nice and respectful. Love Dr. Tareen, he cares about his patients. Nurse Ashley was very nice and attentive. Cleaning lady Nicole was so sweet . Food was good and building was clean. The only issue that my uncle brought up was night people were loud but other than that everything was great. 5 stars for great care and 5 more for all the lovely people who work there. Thank you.

My family and I spent 5 weeks in this facility after our beloved family member was transferred from Bryn Mawr hospital. For 5 weeks they tried their absolute best to wean off our family member, during the entire time the staff was extremely supportive, they allowed us unlimited visiting hours and they made exceptions for extra people in the room. Jason in respiratory was extremely helpful, everyone gave us a lot of compassion and respect but during the entire time there Jason felt like a family member to us. He went out of his way to educate us on the treatments and answered every question, he made healthcare human. There was a bunch of other great staff members like Germaine, Luz, Angela, Jihad, Ashante, Jennings, Noel, and many others, and everyone in this facility made healthcare very human and personal. We had a very bittersweet ending but this facility took great care of our family member and us.

Where do I start?!? My loved one spent about 2 months at Kindred (not consistently). When we were first told they were coming to Kindred I was worried and concerned. The recommendation came from Crozer (why I was worried) and never heard of Kindred before. The first night there I instantly started to feel at ease. We were given incorrect visiting hours and showed up in between the times they had. The man at the desk, told us the correct hours but initiated calling the nurses station to see if they would make an exception and they did. When I got in to see my loved one they looked clean, comfortable, and alert! Visiting my loved one everyday I got to know a lot of the staff and observe how everyone interacted. They are all amazing people! They talked to my loved one like they were a person, even when they were sleepy or not as alert that day they would come in the room and greet them with using their name and still explain what they needed to do; meds, needles, dressing changes, etc. The nurses and nursing assistant’s acted like humans and not robots and even on busy days still took time to update family and say hello with a smile. Shelley, Valerie, Kelita, Ashley, Michelle just to name a few were amazing nurses! Best nursing assistants - Kanesia and Sameyia (sorry for the spelling). All the therapist were awesome; physical, occupational, speech, respiratory- with their hard work and patience they had my loved one standing, working on balance, eating puréed foods, breathing on their own amongst so many other things. All the drs were great too! When we left Kindred for the next journey it was bittersweet! It was great that my loved one was moving on to the next rehab but sad that we were leaving so many amazing people who played a huge part in their journey! Keep up the great work that you do and please take care of your employees to keep such a great staff! Good people are hard to find! Thank you, Kindred!

Each time our family member has been at Kindred, the care she has received has been exemplary. The doctors, nurses, therapists and the rest of the care team are all engaged, compassionate and dedicated The doctors are in constant contact with the family, explaining all the details of treatment and answering all our questions. The nurses are always available, taking the time to update us on our family member's condition. They always assure us that we should call back at any point with questions or concerns. The entire care team is always loving, encouraging and positive when working with a patient. When our family member is at Kindred, we know she is always receiving the best possible care.

My dad was there for approximately 4 weeks, I felt the Drs. Nurses and staff were excellent. They care about your loved one and are there for them first before the requests and demands of the family. Even when greeted walking into the Kindred the receptionist was always warm and friendly. Once you got up to the floor which my family was at, everyone greeted you and were so inviting. I so appreciate all they have done and wish I could remember all their names, but sending out praise and thanks to them all.

After spending a month in ICU on a ventilator, my husband was transferred to Kindred in Havertown for medical and physical rehab for a total of close to 2 months. We cannot say enough good things about Kindred, we highly recomend them.

The staff was wonderful, excellent at what they do and so kind and helpful. It really felt like family, from the administrative staff to the therapists and doctors. From the first day I really believed that they were invested in my husband's care and recovery. The hospital was clean, the rooms nice and comfortable and even the food was good! My husband looked forward to the meals which is saying alot for a hospital!

While in the Medical Rehab my husband was completely weened off of the ventilator. He even came off of the suplemental oxygen which he had been on for 1 1/2 years. When he was ready, he was transferred to the the Physical Rehab part of the hospital and they helped him to get mobility back and start walking again after being in a hospital bed for over 2 months.

The hospital worked with us every step of the way to get him home, arranging for medical equipment, therapists, etc.

When he finally came home he had the tools he needed to begin the long journey of getting back to where he was before he got sick.

I would without question recommend Kindred- Havertown to anyone looking for a rehab hospital.

Recently had a family member at Kindred who I visited. She was on a ventilator and Kindred worked with her and got her off of it after weeks of her needing it. Nurses were nice to us when we visited and we were happy with outcome.

My husband spent quite some time there over the holidays. My family was happy with the care he received. The nurses and staff were great with him. Although, he was stubborn and got out of a chair without help (landing him back at Paoli) he is now back there and I can't say enough about the staff. AMAZING!!

When you love someone who want the best possible care. Well, you will find exceptional care here at Kindred. I had a close friend who required pulmonary assistance through mechanical ventilation ( due to a covid dx). She remained at kindred for several weeks and during those weeks I quickly realized how much these nurses, respiratory therapists, Dr's, CNA's truly cared about their patients as I was there M-F (11-2 pm daily). My friend required full assistance in all areas of care and I can't thank them enough for all the love and compassion they showed, not only to my friend, but for the visitors as well. Dr. Hussain, her in house Physician, is the most compassionate/skilled physician I have ever known and he was so incredibly humble when I expressed that to him. He will never know the positive impact he had on my friend, myself and the family as well. Everyone spoke to my friend when administering medication or any care given to her, even when she was asleep, to inform her of what was happening. I loved that! (Thank you to all the 3rd floor nurses: Ashley, Luz, Shay, Thias, Mariel, Germaine and so many more). The respiratory therapists ( Jason, Noel, Christine and John) had so much compassion during all attempts to wean her from ventilation and throughout her final moments. You, my friends, are amazing! Nichole, from housekeeping always offered me something to drink/ comfort care and Howard at the front desk was always pleasant and conversational. I can't thank you enough for the quality care you gave my friend and all the support you gave to me and her family during this very tough time. Thank you so much! By the way, I am an OT by profession so I do take quality care very seriously :) To the CEO: You have great staff and should treat them so incredibly well to maintain their employment in order to continue to maintain excellence at Kindred.

The staff was professional, caring and friendly. That includes the doctors, nurses, nursing assistants, respiratory therapists, physical therapists, patient advocate, cleaning staff and food services personnel. My daughter received excellent care and left Kindred in much better condition than when she arrived. At times Kindred seemed understaffed, but I know that the same situation exists at other sub acute facilities because medical reimbursements to them are too low. The few occasions when we were dissatisfied with a person caring for my daughter were quickly addressed and, when necessary, a different member of the staff was assigned to her. Overall, we were very please with the care that my daughter received.

Cleaning staff, doctors, nurses, therapists.....just everyone has been SO nice the whole time Ive been here. Different staff would check in and just talk to me when they knew I was feeling down. Dr. Tareen would come by all the time and never was in any rush or was to busy to see me when I asked. Phoebe, Timmy, and Maddi spent a lot of time helping me out and they would always cheer me up. Just was a good experience and I felt taken care of.

My father was sent to Kindred transferred from Crozer Chester (Crozer nightmare see my other review). Although he came in with an uphill battle of his life the staff was wonderful. Hospital was clean, and the nurses took really good care of him. Made sure he was clean, turned him every two-three hours, explained what they were doing to him and to us. Although we couldn't take care of him ourselves it gave us piece of mind that when we went home he was in great hands. He ultimately succumbed to his illness but the comfort that we received during his difficult time was amazing. A special thank you to nurse Lauren and therapist Renee for taking such great care of him all the way to the end. You were a god send for my family in our time of sorrow.

I cannot thank the staff at Kindred enough for the care my wife was given while she was there and the quality of daily interaction with me.
My wife and I were both 73 when we contracted Covid in December, 2020. .My symptoms were mild, but my wife's were critical: a month in ICU, a month at Kindred, Havertown, and now in a rehab facility.
I was able to be there every day. The nursing staff was truly caring and focused. Her doctors were excellent. They and the nurses answered all my questions and thought ahead to related questions and concerns I might have.
Our case manager, Janel Washington, co-ordinated insurance and rehab facilities to the point that I really didn't have to think about it and could concentrate on my wife. Jessica Curcio facilitated my daily visits and made sure I had every thing I needed.
I will be forever grateful to Kindred for helping us through this critical period.

Our father was sent to Kindred Hospital after he was hospitalized for double pneumonia. He was on 15 L of oxygen and having a hard time breathing. I knew from the moment I walked in Kindred after he was transferred that he was going to be fine. The individual care that he received was unbelievable. Dr. Hollis and Dr. Cantor were fabulous. His nurses, aides and therapists were so caring. They formulated a plan for him with everyone who would be involved in his care and reassessed that plan every week. He was released after a little over 2 weeks and is doing great. We cannot thank all the staff at Kindred enough for taking such great care of our dad. You are all truly angels in disguise. God bless you all.

The doctors at the original hospital told me to put my brother on palliative care. That was not an option. He went to Kindred Hospital-Havertown and is now off his ventilator! (3 months on the vent and 4 months in bed) It was God and the ENTIRE staff (doctors, nurses, respiratory teams, CNA's, custodians, case managers) at Kindred that did that. By the time he left, everyone knew him and would stop and say hello. He was discharged from the third floor and is now getting inpatient OT and PT on the first floor.

My wife was transferred to Kindred Hospital in Havertown from a hospital in North Carolina. After being in the ICU for over 3 weeks. my wife is doing
Incredible. The care she is receiving from the doctors, nurses, therapist and staff is wonderful. The treatment for my wife and family has been outstanding. Bringing my wife so far in such a short period of time is beyond anything I could have expected.

My mother just spent two weeks at Kindred. From intake post covid with very high oxygen requirements (after 50 days in a hospital), through hospitalization and discharge to Bryn Mawr Rehab, her care was excellent!
The caring staff helped us pull off a SURPRISE 91st birthday parade and family zoom party.
I am a nurse. These folks have the right what I call: "Heart Condition". They actually care!
Thanking them again for strong work to wean my mom's oxygen requirements, while keeping her spirits up, to enable her to attend " Boot Camp" ! God bless and keep safe, all who were involved!

My Mother Rose Bowers was at Kindred from March 3, 2016 to March 24, 2016. Her stay at this hospital was as she put it an experience. When you first come in you are Greeted with a welcome bag and a card from the Patient Relations Representative Carolyn Baier who welcomes you to kindred. This is something that never happened before. The Nursing staff was always nice and helpful. The rooms were cleaned every day. If you were walking in the halls to visit a patient or to leave for the day. You were always greeted with a smile from staff members in the hallways.

I want to point out three members of the staff who went above and beyond the call of duty that I have seen. All the nurses, male and female were nice and very friendly but Ryan, Anya and John took extra steps to talk care of my mother. Ryan encouraged her to eat even when she was not feeling up to it so she could get better and improve. Even when he was super busy and did not have the time. He took the time to make sure she was eating. Something he did not have to do. Anya was always nice and funny and was a joy to be around. Even thou she was working she took the time to do her job and make sure the patient felt at home. Again another person to go above and beyond the call. John a male nurse who my mom only had for one day took some time out when he did not have her as a patient to come into her room and not only check on my mother but her roommate as well to make sure they were doing ok. Again something he did not have to do but did anyway.

With all the good came the bad when I felt that my mother did not get the care during a few days at Kindred that I thought she should have. I express this to kindred and they assured me that the problem would be fixed. They took this very serious and took care of the issues. I also was told many times that if anything like that happen again please do not wait let them know right away. I was very happy with the outcome and how serious they took it.

I am happy to say that my mother got great care love and support at kindred and that is the main reason she was able to leave today to another rehab location before she comes home. She is doing 100% better and a large part is due to the doctors and nursing staff and Kindred hospital. I am happy to say if we needed to we would go there again in a heartbeat.
