Visiting from out of town, we stopped by here to grab a bite. Everyone was so kind and helpful. There is no indoor seating in the restaurant due to covid but there are plenty of spots in their beautiful garden area and barn (not heated) for you to enjoy your meal! We ordered the corn beef hash & pot pie. It was so tasty, would go back again!

Great lunch!! Fresh greens on roast beef and even had gluten free bread 👌 The quiche crust was so delicious - buttery and salty goodness. Cute garden out back with seating a bonus. Oh and the gluten free carrot cake muffin was moist, not too dense, and frosting yummy!

This place is amazing. I’m from out of state and have returned to enjoy this food each time I have visited. Everything I have had here was wonderful. Faves include the veggie chili & open faced stecca.
Also!! It has the best ambiance- enjoy your meal at the garden tables out back.

This fine chef has created a jewel of an eating establishment in modest Middletown Springs. Not exactly a restaurant and not exactly a take out joint, Sissy's has created culinary excellence in what it presents to the public.
We had a fantastic breakfast of a veggie omelet with home fries and toast and jam. It was perfect. My partner had the waffle and a side of hash. Also perfect. Amazing flavors, all healthy and locally-raised. The jam: amazing. The hash: savory and not salty. The waffle: crisp and flavorful. The omelet: buttery, crunchy veggies, wonderful cheddar, perfectly-cooked eggs.
The only problem was not enough seating outside. (There were folks not eating who were sitting at tables waiting for food while folks like us who had ordered in advance- as the website suggests- ended up eating on the lawn). Eh- the price to pay for living in small-town Vermont and going out to eat on Labor Day weekend.

This place is incredible. I had the Swiss Burger with coleslaw and it was the best burger I’ve had in a very long time, but the pecan pie I had for desert was unreal. Best I’ve ever had, hands down. On top of the food being great the person who took our order was very friendly and the property of the establishment is picturesque. This place is on my radar now. I would gladly travel out of my way to order from this place again

I don't know if there is a better breakfast in the state than Sissy's. I've eaten a bunch of decent meals around VT, many of them well above par, but Sissy's takes the cake. Flavor for days. Corned beef that melts and tastes better than any corned beef I've ever had. Perfect eggs. House made jam and rolls. Coffee that doesn't taste burned. Amazing pastries. It's all on the ground floor of her beautiful house, which is set it in a mind blowing garden that changes through out the seasons. We dig it the most for breakfast, but she has good lunch too, and premade dinners to go. Best time to go is on a warmish day, and sit in her garden and chow down. Limited seating on her porch, none inside. Worth a 30 minute detour if you are passing nearby. Highest recommendation.

First bite and you are in heaven. Yeah. It's that good. Very nice people and a very interesting barn to explore. Nice view. Their jam and cookies are also the best. I hate strawberry but I loved their strawberry jam.

Run, do not walk, to Sissy’s. An oasis of deliciousness. Every review you read is true. Allow us to take you on a magical culinary carpet ride.
1110: arrive at sissy’s. As we pulled into the parking lot and saw the Bassett hound pillow in the window, we knew we had come to the right place.
1115: order placed, we took a stroll and observed the ethereal beauty and aesthetic perfection that is the garden and grounds of sissy’s establishment.
1125: Filled with anticipation, we heard our name called out and 4 plates of divine cuisine emerged at the window. Reuben sandwich with the best potato salad known to man kind, root vegetable hash, corn beef hash, and a salmon egg scramble. Best food on this side of Heaven. Our puppy, normally playful and reimbunctious, layer under the table hoping for a crumb that never came.
As we walked to our car in complete disbelief of what we had just consumed, we could only applaud sissy and team in appreciation of this amazing place.
All future trips north will be rerouted through middle town springs.

The people who run this place are the type of people that don't eat out because they don't want to be disappointed. We spent one day on Lake Bomoseen for a wedding, and stopped by the day of the wedding. The food was so good that we made sure to stop on our way back to Philadelphia. We even bought frozen food to reheat when we got home. Truly divine homemade food. Its been about 2 weeks since we have been there so I don't remember exactly what we ordered, I know we had the Rueben Sandwich, The Bene wrap, the (something) man's lunch (it was amazing), blueberry pie, etc... I'm on my lunch break at work thinking about this place. This isn't just a 5 star rating, this food destroys your Mom's cooking. So good, and also the friendly staff was a bonus.

Absolutely outstanding cuisine! Always a joy. Sissy and her staff are top notch. One of the most perfect cycling stops I have ever known. Big grassy yard behind the cafe with scattered tables and chairs among the trees. Lovely and serene.

I’ve eaten my way across America. I’ve lived (and ate) in Italy for six months. I cook nearly every single day, so I’m no slouch in a kitchen myself. But has there ever been better food than Sissy’s? I don’t think so. Consistently divine. Consistently unique in offerings. When I’m home in Vermont, I freeze Sissy’s meals so I can drive them halfway across the country and have delicious, five-star meals in Minnesota, because there’s nothing like Sissy’s out here!

Great fresh food. What would one expect from Sissy? Dinners and soups in freezer for a quick grab or call ahead. Great service and I almost forgot the cookies, muffins and scones. So much good food and the smell when you first walk in.

What a quintessential find! We drove from Manchester, absolutely worth the trip! Breakfast & lunch served with seating on deck and patio, dinners and desserts... lots of them, to take home. Everything is hand made by Sissy and delicious! We will DEFINITELY be coming back to this small, but huge gem!

Best breakfast sandwich I have ever put in my mouth. I had the smoked salmon with sautéed spinach and eggs and a caper-cream cheese spread. Lord have mercy on me!!

I also love the pi.ento cheese and cheese crackers. The Cole slaw and potato salad is killer! Yummy.

I also had the creme brule which rocked.

Not only do they have the best breakfast sandwiches, but the Reubens baked INSIDE a rye bun is silly good.

I highly recommend this place. The service is also pretty incredible. Can't wait to go back.

Truly excellent food! I would eat here every day if I could. The prices are very low. Bring a bunch of cash because it's cash-only and you'll want to buy their freezer and to-go food, and check out the antiques in the barn too.

One of the best places ever. It is a little bit off the beaten path but well worth the journey. Breakfast was delicious and we could have spent the morning waiting for lunch but unfortunately we needed to head home. Definitely worth the time and trip to get there

My God! Delicious food and quintessential serene rural Vermont setting. Tastefully landscaped, picnic tables scattered around a scenic barn and garden. Excellent!
