Maywood Grill

I loved this place. We got burgers and onion rings and dessert. Everything was above our expectations. The service was so friendly. They took time to explain all kinds of stuff to us.

Cafeteria style ordering then they bring it to your table. I’ve never seen somewhere that the food looks just like the advertisements would look!

The food was amazing. Never had such a fluffy pancake before! The bacon maple french toast was so good.

Breakfast served all day on Sunday (until close, that is!)

Stopped for breakfast, my wife had the pancakes and I had a western omelet both tasted delicious. Especially the pancake, only one but that's all you will need, it's huge. They also put something in the mix that tasted delicious. Will be back if I'm in the area. Oh by the way they have a bakery, which we bought to bring back home.

The first word that comes to mind when my wife suggests Maywood Grill for a meal is FRESHNESS.

Don’t let the mild, yet classy, exterior fool you. While it looks like your standard eatery, it’s far better than that. From the fresh daily made breads/buns and desserts, to the superb flavor and spins on classics, you will be left amazed that something of this caliber resides on top of hill in Fayette county. Best diner/cafe food I've had in ages. We had the burger and fries and the homemade pulled pork with hand battered onion rings. Both were amazing. Generous portions and everything was from scratch. Save room for the multitude of sweet offerings at the bakery counter. We shared big cookies. The oatmeal raisin cookie is a meal. Place your order at the bakery counter and take a table and your food is brought to you by friendly wait staff. Good coffee. We've bookmarked this place in Google maps and will be back!

The food is out of this world fantastic. Everything I had was clearly made from scratch. The rye bread, omlete, and potatoes meals is outstanding. Appreciate the cutlery and condiments available to grab. The service is spot on, friendly, and quick. Excellent prices.

The cinnamon rolls are good, but they lack filling between the rolls. Would be nice to see pieces of fruit and gooey filling between the layers. Either way I will get them every time I visit.

My wife and I had a great time here recently for a quick lunch. All of our food was cooked precisely to our order, was served quickly, and was rocket hot!! If we are ever back in the area, we will definitely stop again.

Ordering is a little un orthodox BUT the food is incredible.......recommend to all who pass. Must try the German Chocolate Cake Cup Cakes. The cinnamon buns are to die for as well. If your hungry, try the Heart Attack Burger or The Southern Fried Chicken sandwich.... see pics.

We came in to see Laurel Caverns from Tennessee and wanted to enjoy a late lunch at an inexpensive restaurant. Maywood did not disappoint! We had the homemade chicken dumpling soup and it was the best ever! Their sandwiches are on homemade fresh buns and melt in your mouth. The onion rings are awesome too. You definitely get your money's worth for some great food. The employees are very polite and friendly. A great family owned local restaurant I will recommend to anyone visiting this area. Also, their bakery items look scrumptious and are priced right! Also a baby changer in the bathroom which was cozy and clean.

Food is fresh, pastries to die for. The staff are very friendly. Worth the drive up the mountain. Moved here from the northwest and reminds me of the little cafe's in Northern Idaho and Montana.

Wow! Highly recommend this restaurant's breakfast options. Large portions, friendly staff, super clean.

Be warned, their ghost pepper cheese is the real deal. Not that wimpy "fast food" stuff. If you like spicy as I do, definitely give it a try.

What a spectacular restaurant. Their online ordering system is modern and easy to use. Every item I have ever ordered, no matter how simple or how complicated, is delicious, fresh, and filling. Maywood Grill is a treasure.

Locally sourced food, home baked bread and jams make meals here especially tasty. The sausage had an incredibly good flavor, and the breakfast potatoes were definitely NOT packaged. You could see the actual whole potatoes with skin that was cut into eighths. The eggs also had a fresh appearance and taste!

And breakfast was under $10!

My first experience and it was great! Prices are reasonable. I ordered the 2 for $6 lunch and just got a side salad and soup. You order on the bakery side and they’ll give you a number to place at your table on the dining side as they’ll bring your order to you. They serve Coke products.

I love the light & bright atmosphere! And the tables are so big. And the food is great.

Saved us after a long day of driving..... Finally an open restaurant! Incredible burger.... Onion rings with a tempura like batter and a delicious quinoa protein bowl! Kind staff and clean space!

Very nice and cozy place. Service was awesome (dont remember the gentleman name). Was packed when we were there and it was only 9:30am on a Sunday. Food was Delicious however took a while but was worth it.

Went to this restaurant for the first time because my sister-in-law said it was very good. I loved this place! The food was excellent, The restaurant was clean and tidy and the service was excellent! I wish I lived in the area so I could visit more frequently!
