The Imperial

There is a full-day Chinese New Year party today at the 101 Building Plaza in downtown Lancaster. It was too cold outside, but the Imperial bar happened to be right next to it. The cocktails made by the bartender and DJ were so professional, and the appetizers were also great. The menu is reasonably priced and the atmosphere is friendly. Will come again next time.

We decided last minute to change our reservation for our anniversary dinner to The Imperial, and we are so glad we did! Sophia provided excellent and charming service, and the chef, Corinna, is a genius in the kitchen. We started with the pretzel braid and the nachos (best ever). For the entrees we enjoyed the apple cranberry pork and the filet mignon (the vegetable medley was amazing). We definitely will be recommending The Imperial to anyone looking for a delicious dinner in downtown Lancaster!

Was fortunate the rain probably kept a lot of guest at home, but it was a lovely restaurant. Nice service. A straightforward uncomplicated brunch menu. Look forward to my next visit.

Had a great night out with friends. We received the best service from Cade our waiter and amazingly delicious food from the chef Corinna! Drinks, appetizers to entrees were on point. Definitely a spot I would recommend!

My guest and I had an excellent dinner. We started with a shared plate of Brussels sprouts with bacon and Parmesan - crispy, sweet, smoky, Yum! My entree was the slow cooked rib roast - so flavorful and tender. My friend had the bacon wrapped pork rounds. Both entrees were huge, and attractively presented with artistic flair. The sauces provided perfect balance to the meats. Service was excellent, timely and attentive. We look forward to returning to try other options.

I’m a Lancaster local and love checking out the food scene here. I’ve got a running top ten list and Imperial just nabbed a spot on it. First off, if you’re considering whether to try it out…GO! I’ve enjoyed brunch and dinner here and everything is delicious, the atmosphere is perfect and the service is wonderful. It’s a gorgeous restaurant with beautiful decor, large patio and big windows. It’s a nice ambiance and the servers are always friendly and on point. The food is top tier. Whoever put the menu together is a genius. Well done!

Honestly a hidden gem. Have talked about going for a year and finally did. Well worth it. Our server Caden was exceptional; attentive and friendly. Checked on us frequently and was thorough. Also, he didn’t spill our cocktails; on the subject of the bar, the service was so excellent that because they were out of my first choice for a draft beer and the waiter suggested another one , the bartender personally brought out the beer to explain it to us, above and beyond! 🤯 the cocktails were also delightful and well balanced.

Food was all delicious … we had the “seasonal” (it’s spring and they were on their fall menu) soup Butternut Squash, the Pretzel, the Soy Garlic Tofu, the Curried Mussels, and Wings …. Only thing we had that wasn’t stellar was the house salad so NBD. We will likely return and would recommend highly.

This place is underrated! We were not expecting much, but it was conveniently located to where we were staying in town. Wow, every food item we ordered was amazing - appetizers, entrees, desserts, drinks, coffee. So delicious. And the service was perfect. Reasonably priced for such wonderful food. We will return!

Celebrated my daughter's birthday on Saturday, there was twelve of us and everyone loved the drinks and food and to have everyone satisfied is a rare occurrence with some picky people in our group. The waiter was great too!

Corey was our server, he was fantastic. He even did this balancing trick with spoons for our dessert that was pretty cool and unexpected. It made the experience memorable! All of us had the Lentil Bolognese and it was very good. The desserts were sublime though! I had the brownie frio, wife had the honey pear cake and friend had the vegan coconut creme brulee. Pics included. Highly recommend the Imperial to anyone looking for an upscale, memorable dining experience!

I cannot believe the rating isn't a 5 star. One of my favorite meals I've ever had. The chef puts so much thought into these perfectly crafted entrees. The atmosphere and interior design is also beautiful. Waitress was available when we needed but not overly intrusive during my intimate meal with my husband.

Had an awesome experience at The Imperial. The food was good. Their Sweet Chile Glazed wings were really good, and they also have chips that they make in house that are worth getting. The texture is nice, the flavor is good and they are not salty. I had the steak quesadilla and my sister had the imperial burger as our entrees. And the service was phenomenal. Even if everything wasn't perfect (burger was supposed to have sautéed onions and mushrooms, but they were left off), Breanna went above and beyond to make everything right and made our dining experience a great one. She was incredibly personable and attentive without hovering.

This place isn't fancy, but it sure ins't a dive. I'm happy to give it 5 starts because:
1. The servers were super-friendly and very polite.
2. The food was really good. (I was there for a quick lunch, and I wasn't disappointed by the recommended meatloaf sandwich)
3. The price is really reasonable. I paid around $12 for a nice sandwich and salad. Not bad for a place downtown.
4. They have quite a bar, if that's your thing
5. The decor was nice, and the place was spacious.
6. It's clean!
7. They offer vegetarian options! My daughter is vegetarian, so this is important to me. Also, they offer Impossible Burgers which I prefer over other brands, so that garnered extra points with me.

I've always been wanting to stop by here. I pass it every day on my way to work. I'm glad I finally did. It's a great lunch spot, for sure. They had a board out front advertising their breakfast buffet. It's a shame I missed it by an hour. I can definitely make this a go-to spot when I have the kids.

Since it's on the corner of Queen St. and Chestnut St., you get to watch a lot of folks stroll by the window if you happen to be sitting at a booth. I like to people-watch sometimes.

My wife and I had breakfast here the first time on Sunday and it was fantastic. The French toast and sausage I had were among the best I’ve ever had. Great service, prices, and atmosphere. Highly recommend!

We stopped in just for dessert and some drinks and everything was wonderful. The servers were fantastic and attentive. I'm looking forward to returning to try one of they're many vegan options. We plan to return for brunch this weekend.

Super fun dinner date with friends! Great food, excellent service, and a gorgeous setting. Loved the art, my berry mojito mock tail, and the gluten free choices.

First visit and it was spectacular!! What a truly vibrant and welcoming atmosphere and decor.
Our “ray of sunshine” server, Natasha, made the meal ideal! She was cheerful, attentive and helpful.
We were celebrating a birthday and annual holiday tradition and all of us WILL BE BACK ♥ Even a front row seat to Santa and horses arriving for the season!!

We held our company Christmas Party in their Blue Room and I'd give them 10 stars if I could! Excellent food. Excellent service. Great atmosphere! We will be back. Thank you Susy, and team!

We were there for brunch, We had 4 mimosas, 2 gin and tonics, a monte cristo an omelet and French toasts, everything for delicious

My wife and I had dinner with our friends (2 other couples) and from the start Kaiden our server was great! A young guy with lots of energy and did a great job all night! All 6 of us thoroughly enjoyed our meals with several comments like “this is really the best”. My friends and I order filets everywhere we go and they really were some of the best we’ve ever had. Thanks Imperial staff for a great night out with friends!
