These are real bagels!
I've been living in Lancaster county for 3 years and have been yearning for a real bagel for so long. Real bagels have a crunchy and slightly chewy outer crust with a slightly dense and soft chewy inside. They are generous with their coatings. Harvest Moon Bagel Co nails it. I bought their everything bagel and I am so pleased to be eating this bagel as I type this review. Nothing else that I have tried in the area even comes close. I will be back!!!

This place legit has the best bagels you'll ever try- and they make it by hand too. I used to be homeless in Downtown Lancaster, this place made my time being homeless a lot better LOL I live in Baltimore now, so I'm off the streets. I can't wait to visit Lancaster again and eat here. The staff is pretty chill, I remember when me and my friend visited- I spilled my chocolate milk and was laughing loudly, yet they didn't yell at me or anything. I'm really sorry for that btw! ^^' My favorite thing from the menu is the Pumpkin Spice 'n Chocolate Chip bagel. It was a limited option meant for Fall/Halloween. I'd recommend anyone who wants to visit Lancaster to come eat here. It is very good.

You can now have a fresh bagel every morning in Lancaster. Just don't wait too long or they might sell out. Crisp outside with a chewy, soft interior, as they should be.

The highlight is whatever latest, in-season variant is on offer. Sometimes in the summer it's the tomato cream cheese, in the spring they have ramps, in the winter they are know to have pierogie. Just go with what's on special and you'll know that it was put together at its peak.

One more hot tip, even the flour used is locally milled so by supporting this small business your also supporting other farmers here in Lancaster.

I began stopping in to Harvest Moon Bagel Co because I knew the bagels were vegan and they began offering vegan cream cheese spreads, too. What I didn't expect, however, were all the other vegan goodies they'd have when I was picking up my vegan bagels along the way. So far, along with a delicious half-dozen bagels, I've picked up: banana nut muffins, gingerbread cookies, apple cider donuts, and more. Everything is really reasonably priced and delicious.

The Everything bagels (my favorite bagel) are the best Everything bagels I've had. They're COVERED in stuff! You can't go wrong with anything they offer here, even if you're not a vegan! Check it out!

Downtown Lancaster hasn't had a place to get fresh, locally made bagels since Legal Bagel closed many moons ago. So it was with great revelry last year that during an economic development session at the first Neighbor to Neighbor Forum sponsored by the Community Action Program I learned Harvest Moon Bagel Co would have a brick and mortar shop to sell their delicious circles of joy (thankful that they are also available nearby at the Lemon Street Market's frozen case). We thank you for bringing bagels (and your other delicious offerings, as well as your community-oriented perspective!) back and better than ever to our dear Lanky. XO -C

Most of my diet consists of making decisions about trade offs between convenience and quality. I don't think that I'm unique in this calculus. Sometimes I enjoy a tasting menu at a michelin rated restaurant and sometimes all I can manage is a protein bar in my car.

Sitting firmly above the curve is Harvest Moon Bagel co. They are an outlier in their ability to offer a memorable culinary experience in the space and cost of a local coffee shop.

I have had multiple experiences where I have dropped in for a quick bite before running off somewhere and had such an inventive and unique experience that is has left me wanting more.

In addition to the regular staples that one would expect from a bagel shop they frequently have daily specials that surprise and reward the palette. I have given up coming into Harvest Moon with expectations and instead come in looking to be lead on a culinary adventure.

Aside from their creativity their quality of ingredients is outstanding. The best fruit trays I've had all year have been at events catered by Harvest Moon.

Harvest moon looks very unassuming from the street but their passion is infectious and uncompromising.

Great staff and great food! The creativity in the bagel specials they have is always interesting (and crazy delicious). It's also in a good location for grabbing a bagel on the way to and from work downtown Lancaster.

We love Harvest Moon Bagel - this past winter, they provided a delicious selection of bagels and pastries twice a week for a series of seminars we hosted for customers at our business. They worked patiently with us on last-minute changes and made small-ish deliveries twice a week for 12 weeks. Thanks, Harvest Moon!

I love Harvest Moon bagels. Great local place for good bagels. A bit on the expensive side, but worth it to support local businesses. Their drink selection could use expanding but they definitely make great bagels.

Amazing bagels, hand rolled! They come up with awesome flavor combinations and make their own cream cheese. Perfect place for breakfast or lunch date, lovely owners! I love their business practices as well!

I first ordered some bagels on GrubHub from these guys and they were amazing! Excellent flavor options and very great service. Then I had some bagels in Musser Park at the Sunday market. What a treat to have. Super friendly owners and staff. I'll be back again!

I always make it a point to stop in at least once during every visit I make to PA. MUCH better coffee than the big chain and wonderfully fresh and delicious bagels in interesting flavor combos. Favorite is the Garlic Asiago with veggie cream cheese. A-mazing! Definitely give them a try.

It's a hip little place in downtown Lancaster, a convenient spot if you're in the city. They have a nice selection of delicious bagels, most of which are vegan-friendly, and last time I had a delicious vegan chocolate doughnut with white icing. There's also an array of spreads, some of which are vegan, sandwiches, coffees, drinks, and more. I really appreciate the vegan breakfast options, especially with a kid with food allergies. Also, the bialy. Get one. Trust me. Doesn't matter what flavor.

Some other things I love about HM that aren't related to their food are: it's run by a small family, it's woman-led, it's an inclusive and welcoming space, and they're active in the community. That is what attracted me to this city in the first place, and they embody those values, so I'm really glad they're here.

Amazing local bagel place with plentiful vegetarian options. In the winter they have holiday specials including bagel stuffing! Plus they use the money from their business to support their community which makes supporting them even more satisfying.

There's a ton of reasons why I love this shop. Great owners, tasty food, welcoming atmosphere... Delightfully creative and wildly skilled! The biggest reason I like it here is because they go the extra mile. During the Corona virus shutdowns, they put in the extra work to hand deliver goods. They really do their best to show that community is at the heart of this place. Always professional and passionate.

Where would I be without Harvest Moon Bagel?? DECEASED PROBABLY. Who is there when I'm super hungover? Harvest Moon. Who is there when every other brunch spot is overrun? Harvest Moon. Who is there when I just want a simple delicious bagel. Yep you guessed it, Harvest Moon. The Lox bagel is divine and certainly has healing powers. What's even more delicious, is supporting two, young, entrepreneurs.

10/10 people with good taste support Harvest Moon. Always enjoyed every bagel, sandwich, snack I've ordered from them. Zach and Chelsea are also wonderfully supportive of community initiatives. They catered an event I helped plan in the spring, The Neighbor to Neighbor Forum, and the food was a huge hit. I also appreciate that they are so accommodating to a variety of tastes and preferences --i.e. veganism, gluten free, etc. This is essential in event planning these days.

A destination for this visitor!
When visiting from NYC this is always a top stop. I am not even a bagel lover but Harvest Moon converted me. There is nothing on the menu that is not sure to please. Coffee: OH YES! Organic, healthy, friendly and local hit all the sweet spots before hitting your taste buds! See ya next time!

Called and left a voice message on Sunday asking about a possible delivery to my job Monday am. Called back an hour later - never would expect a call back on a Sunday. Very Small delivery fee as I’m just outside the city was well worth not having to miss and hour of work and attempt parking downtown. Bagels and were a hit. Thank You!!
