This place is amazing. I came for a one night visit as I am moving to the area in a few months.

I was greeted warmly and explained everything I needed to know. The guy (sorry, I already forgotten his name) was super nice.

They had firewood for sale which greatly helped. The campground was peaceful and out of the way. Not hard to find at all.

They have a pool! It was being refreshed for the season. I wouldn't have gone in since it was still chilly.

The bathrooms were clean and of a higher standard than I would have expected.

Great campground with fantastic prices and friendly staff. Small game room, hot showers and a pool in the summer. Items available for purchase while I was there in Oct were wood, pumpkins, gourds, eggs, corn stalks, local produce and small selection of snack type items in the office area.

Like some people pointed out already, the staff is usually not at the front desk. Not a big deal, just picked up the phone and called. Had no issues with them at all. The owner was awesome.
We had planned on getting a camp site but when we got there they had a cabin available so we took that instead. It was a really nice cabin. Small but nice. Had electric, heat, microwave, and fridge. It was great. We fit 5 adults, although we did have to put an air mattress in their so we all fit.
The camp ground itself was really nice for a camp ground. Bathrooms were not bad and the washroom had just been redone. The game room has a pool table!

We would certainly go here again.

*Side note, Verizon had 4g lte and so did at&t. Sprint didn't fair so well and could only make calls. Was nervous because we had lost cell service for 20 minutes on approach and we were not sure if we would have any once we got to the camp ground.

This is a smallish, family run campground. They have a nice pool, and the bath house building also has the laundry room and a play room. Our RV spot was a pull thru that went up a small incline. While both roomy and private, we could not find a level area. We had a tough time leveling the rig, even with boards and orange leveling blocks. It's also a good half mile up a 6%+ grade to get there. The staff was polite and efficient. Everyone we met at the park was nice.
The bathrooms were pretty big, but I'd like if they had a door to close off the bathroom from the outside...

Last minute shopping for a camp site we found this place figured what’s the worse that can happen. Once we arrived at 9am we knew this place was gonna be great. The pool was clean along with the campground. Ryan the owner was super nice and informative. I will 100% be back 30 a night for tent spots and 70 for their nice cabin a night is such a great deal with all the extras they had to offer.

A cute, quiet campground with the friendliest of staff and good prices. Seasonal produce is a bonus, and the playground, pool, and game room will keep the kids busy so you can enjoy yourself grilling or around the fire! A real and quality camping experience all the way around.

This down-to-earth, small campground is just perfect to relax at for a weekend. It's small - only 35 or so sites, so booking early is improtant to get the site type you want, especially for holiday weekends. The office manager and owner work well together, and the new manager (new as of last year) has done a great job of making the park more quiet and comfortable since he started. He makes the time to chat with campers, and takes their ideas into account when making upgrades each season. New this year are state park quality charcoal grills at the cabins! He's also stocked the office with camping necessities like camp fuel, charcoal, s'mores fixings, tin foil, lighter fluid, and ice.

Full disclosure: I'm the manager's sister and ran the park in 2010. He takes pride in his work and it shows (:

Great spot to RV or camp. Highland has some of the most private RV sites, with each one cut into the forest so you have some trees between you and your neighbors. Not like most places where your five feet from each other. Pet friendly which is great. Each site has its own fire pit with a grate to cook on. They have a small outdoor pool and even a game room (arcade). Also a really neat outdoor play area with all the old school equipment (four way see-saw, swings, spinner, monkey bars etc.) and a volleyball net (grass field) and one old wooden backboard basketball hoop (though overgrown pad). The staff and other guests we met were all very friendly. They sell a wheelbarrow of firewood to help with your fire (very reasonable price). They are a Good Sam establishment. Nearby lots of antique shops. Didn't stay in cabins but they looked nice. Would highly recommend as a quiet getaway for the family to unplug and enjoy each other / nature.

My fiancee and I just friend home from Highland! I have to say... or was breathtaking! I loved the peace and tranquility of the cabin and surrounding areas. The staff, Tony, was more than cooperative and had an answer to every question I asked. I actually booked a cabin for the end of October for my birthday!!! I would like to thank Tony and Dave for the hospitality!!!! I would reccomend this campground 110% to anyone!!! Thank you!

What a great place to camp, I stayed in the bear cabin, One queen bed & two singles. Full size fridge, microwave, and a box fan, there are plenty of windows to open up with screens so you don't get any bugs in the cabin there's a nice big kitchen table between the single beds there's even a heater for when I gets chilly I talked to Dave the owner for about a half an hour what a super nice guy, The pool & bathrooms are clean, I will definitely come back to visit, If you're going to rent a cabin don't forget about your blankets sheets and pillows because they don't supply that...

Great place to camp, and hang out with a large pavilion, pool, and arcade. Generous amount of firewood sold at office, within 2 miles of Lake Winola.
