Very nice trail. Only partially paved in Lebanon vicinity. The rest is tight gravel that is nightmare to ride off season. Snow and rain nope. Ebike class 1 (pedal assist) allowed. The root bear shack is on the trail. There is a little trail offshoot into Mt. Gretna proper where there's a lake, pizza joint, ice cream place, and restaurant.

Very nice trail, well maintained and not too crowded. Partially paved in the beginning, then goes to packed gravel. Has a few slight grade changes heading southwest.

Nice ride. They are working sections of it between Cornwall and Mt. Gretna to make it even better.

Well maintained, mostly gravel, mostly flat trail. Some parts are paved, and some parts have larger gravel, but it's mostly small gravel. Easy to run and bike on. Beautiful and peaceful woodsy feel. I love this trail for my long distance runs.

This is a beautiful shady bike and walking trail. Some parts are flat, others quite hilly. All beautiful.

Possible to fish under the old railway bridge if you kayak down the Little Swatara to get there.

Plenty of parking at the Cornwall trail head where we chose to start, as it is a bit out of Lebanon proper. Plenty of parking on a Tuesday even on a very nice weather day Nov.8. Very little traffic on the trail all the way to Elizabethtown. Beware of the ride back though as there is a pretty long incline up the trail up Mt. Gretna (I will call it). Not sure how the steam locomotives back in the day did it, but we got 'er done. I would ride this again.

Trails are great, well maintained, we really appreciate having so many places to ride near home without having to ride on the streets.

This is a great trail to take kids on or just go along by yourself. Well maintained. If you park in Cornwall and head toward Alder/E-town the trail builds on a gradual incline. Coming back it was much earlier downhill. It's 15 miles to Elizabethtown, we only went 1.5 miles to Alder with a couple of 4 year olds and a 2 year old all on various bicycles. Wheelchair/ scooter accessible if you have inflatable wheels. A lot of the trail is paved. Really nice along the ridge looking onto new retirement developments below. A couple of points you cross a highway and there's some traffic noise but other than that it was quiet. Nice beginner/ intermediate mountain bike trails off in the ridge as well. We had a great time and were there for 3 hours.

It's been several years since I've been on the LVRT, and the section I was on didn't even exist (as an accessible trail), but it was fascinating being on a section that I had only been able to drive past previously.
So far, I've completed from the old Lebanon Catholic Highschool to route 241 at Colebrook. (a section at a time)

Crushed packed gravel surface. Even with heavy rain the day before the trail was in great shape. Root Beer Barrel is cool. Everyone we met on this trail was super nice and friendly. This trail is super smooth and suitable for cycling with trailers / children. Nice small playground on trail and food / activities at Mt. Gretna. Can't wait to come back! Apparently future trail additions will connect this trail to the region at large and Swatara State Park. Lots of history around the trail and wonderful local folk to fill you in.

I go here often with my son. The trail is well kept. Yesterday we saw dogwoods and spicebush in bloom. There are pools along the trail where you can find frogs. Can't wait to take the bikes out and ride to the Jigger Shop.

Great place for doing long runs especially when you venture into the Mount Gretna area. Good for cycling and walking, never crowded and scenic. I found myself getting inexplicably fatigued on the trail and was surprised because it appears flat. But watch out for those long, subtle upward inclines because they seem to go on forever and they get to your legs. There are some 10k and 5k races on this trail which are very fast and enjoyable. This trail extends the whole distance to north of Elizabethtown, and that section is especially pleasant. The Barrel in the Cornwall trailhead is my favorite place to park.
