Thank you to all the staff and leaders (the owner knows how to do it very well) for making an unforgettable night for me and my family. We loved every detail.
Dining out should be more than just a meal (it should be a sensory experience).

Josephine's exceeded my expectations. Congratulations!!

Attended a Christmas party there with the company my wife works for. They had reserved a room downstairs. Tremendous service. One of the servers recommended the House Bacon (with a Bourbon glazed apple, sharp cheddar) and the 8oz filet, and he was right to do so. Both were tender and melted while eating. Had several Caucasians (The Dude Abides) throughout and kudos to the bartender for there excellence.

Wonderful place to celebrate my birthday! Our server was attentive and knowledgeable. The food was delicious and presented beautifully.

If you’re looking for a classy, fine dining experience, look no further than Josephine’s Downtown. My wife and I celebrated her birthday here and enjoyed everything we ordered (see photos). They even provided a complimentary birthday dessert! Our waiter (can’t remember his name) was one of the best we ever had at a restaurant anywhere. The ambiance was peaceful and very fitting for the type of restaurant it is.

Amazing restaurant, experience, atmosphere, and food! We've been here twice for special occasions and loved it both times. My husband is picky and this is one of his favorite restaurants now. The crab cakes are delicious and basically everything is good there. The antelope appetizer is delicious and tender. And we love the complimentary breads! Definitely recommend this place, for a special occasion if you don't mind spending a little more for a great experience.

This was the first of many trips to come! The ambience was spot on; fun, inviting, classy, with a nostalgic Hollywood vibe. Our server, Zach, was terrific! My wife had the Marilyn Monroe cocktail which was phenomenal! Every dish we ordered was excellently executed. I was a bit of glutton that night. 😂 Discovering Josephine’s has been a game changer for us! We dine in Manhattan often and usually hit Michelin rated restaurants. Josephine’s has my stamp of approval!

Update - We celebrated a birthday here, and it was fabulous, except for wine presentation. The filet was out of this world and the lemon meringue was fabulous.

The server needs some training regarding wine presentation. He did not present the cork and opened the one bottle of wine, and decanted it, away from the table. The fist cork, from the Dom, he threw in the bucket of ice. When I asked for the cork from the second bottle, he gave us a cork from another bottle. He eventually brought us the original cork.

Original post - I loved this restaurant!! From the music, to the service, the food quality!!!!!...and the ambiance..this restaurant exceeded all of my expectations! Wow. If I could give them 10 stars I would. This is by far, the best restaurant in the area!!! Do not pass up the opportunity to dine here! Spectacular!!

We again visited this restaurant for a special occasion. The restaurant had an emergency in the kitchen, beyond their control. I have traveled all over the world and have not had such a classy, and impeccable response to a situation. We had a wonderful dining experience. Daniel, our server is the best in the business! This is the best restaurant in the area, in regards to food preparation, service and management! Theor desserts are wonderful! Definitely make sure that you take the time to dine here. You will not be disappointed!

I had my office Christmas dinner at Josephine's for the first time this year. WOW! It was truly amazing! Everyone enjoyed the food, the atmosphere, and the outstanding service by Robert and his team. We are all still so excited about our experience, and can't wait to come back. It's a night we will never forget. Thanks to Bernie for helping me with booking the party. Also, the entire restaurant looks amazing decorated for the holidays. Stunning!

Loved our dinner! The folks at Josephine's were so professional, kind and attentive! From the receptionist to our waiter to the support staff.
Hunter, our waiter was exceptional. (Our first time there, for my wife and I). Hunter was patient, informative, supportive, knowledgeable, professional and kind. His welcome and introductions opened the door to a wonderful culinary and dining experience. (Monica was also very attentive and helpful with the background table service stuff:). I had the Duck a L'Orange and was delighted with the sensory confluence of visual and olfactory simulations. The visual presentation was pleasant, yet understated and ultimately surprised my taste buds!!! Wow, what a jazzy delightful satisfying sensory experience. What a delicious meal!

Extremely nice restaurant with an old Hollywood feel and delicious food. They have the best sea scallops and filet mignon in the area. Highly recommend for a special occasion.

We went here for our anniversary dinner and absolutely loved it. The most delicious crab cake we have ever tasted as well as perfectly cooked steak. We started off with the antelope appetizer and absolutely loved it! We will be coming back again and recommend this spot for anyone celebrating a birthday anniversary or special occasion! They were kind enough to even write our names on the menu card congratulating us on our anniversary. The staff is extremely thoughtful friendly and accommodating. I atmosphere is dark and perfect for light Chit Chat and dining. The bar also looked very inviting.

WOW. Where to begin. Took my parents here for a dinner out and we were all blown away. To start, the restaurant and staff were both immaculate. This place is classy - like, tell you the year of the wine bottle you're drinking from classy. The food.... all of it was incredible. Crab cakes, duck carbonara, and the braised short rib is what we all ordered. There was not a single crumb left behind! Overall if you are looking for an incredible dining experience with a really well executed menu - this is it!

Already have my next reservation made! Glad Josephine's has made its way to Lancaster. The drinks, wine, food, and service are all part of the experience. The menu is always perfectly seasonal and delicious!

This place is truly a gem. The atmosphere is beautiful and classy. The feeling of old Hollywood glam was simply mesmerizing. The food was excellent and our server was pristine! I was really amazed at the bathrooms as well. Extremely clean and each stall was dedicated to a Hollywood starlet with gold frames and designer walls. I honestly didn’t want to leave. Drove from Maryland, and will definitely be coming back! I appreciate all of the hard work that went into designing this atmosphere. This is now my favorite restaurant.

Absolutely fantastic. Some of the best food you will find in lancaster. There was a bit of a large, noisy party in the room beside us, but other than that, the atmosphere was wonderful. We had antelope, the crab cake, and 8 Oz filet. All were simply great! We can't wait to return.

hands down the most beautiful spot for fine dining in Lancaster. made reservations for Valentine’s Day and I must say they decorated the place beautifully. Lovely experience with live music and tasty food. I recommend trying the Marilyn Monroe drink if you like sweet mixed drinks

“Josephine’s Downtown”Classic Cuisine & an Elegant Atmosphere。Enjoy a nice dinner time. The pianist plays a soothing melody live. Chandeliers, velvet seats, more than 300 pictures of Hollywood legends, artistic cuisine. This is my favorite style, come again next time.

Great restaurant. Had the bison steak, delicious even if it was lean. Great atmosphere. Loved the live piano player.

We went here for a Bachelorette party dinner outing. Loved the atmosphere. Fancy, swanky, upscale. Our server was amazing. Dinner took a tad longer to come out but it may have felt that way because we didn't order appetizers. Drinks were delicious. Everyone in our group got a different entree and we all tried each other's. Everything was so yummy but I will say my duck portion felt small but everyone else's dinner was a good size. Our server gave us a complementary dessert which was so generous. Will definitely be back!

Our second time here. The food was very good and presented well. Nice atmosphere, service was great. Nice drink selection. Would definitely go back again.
