Thousand Steps

My friends and myself used to go here often in the '80's & 90's to "get experienced" and climb the rocks.
It's a crying shame with all the graffiti, as it used to be beautiful, but it is still fun.
Just be very careful, don't go alone and wear good shoes.
Parking is a bit tricky if you haven't been there before, but once you know where it is, it's an easy find.
Great place to take teenagers to blow off steam.
Just don't be surprised when they start taking their friends there.

I grew up going to this place. Tried to find it a few times since but always went to the wrong parking spot but once you get to it you're in for an adventure. Tons of massive rocks to climb on and around, even a couple small gaps to climb down into. Left by glaciers hundreds of years ago, the boulder field is a fun place to take family and friends to explore around. Just be careful not to fall and hurt yourself

It's one of the most beautiful and peaceful place to be at in pennsylvania.

This is called 1000 steps? I always called it "The Rocks" or "Potato Patch"

Took my 3 grandsons ages 7, 8 and 13 .They loved it. They climbed all the way up and we took trail down.

We spend our whole lives coming up here and it's one of those magical places in the county

Great place to exercise and relax but you better be careful you can easily get hurt
