I got home from work .i was in pain . I told my daughter i need to go to emergancy room. Trying to decied . She said lititz . So i feel it was Gods guidance. They got me in right away .they did not make light of my pain in my stomack. The first cat scan showed nothing . But a teem came in and did another cat scan as soon as i said im burning. They put me out all i remember is they were putting me to sleep . Operated on a Ulster that busted. I was in icu. Then was put on the second floor room 223. My sister in law who is a nurse practitioner. Worked at the priston nj hospital said im in good hands . She said very professional and on top of it. I had the best care and caring people. All the nurses on the 2 cond floor were the best. They all were so great . Even the aids were the best. I will never go any where else.

I was here from January 10,2011 to January 13,2011. I was on the pedactitic unit. Why I don’t know. I was 45 . A nurse there told me about a place in Peabody MA that would help me find my birth mother. I wish I never listened to her. The people there were scammers. It wasn’t the hospitals fault. Other than this nurse I had an fairly good stay. Even though I only got my meds the first night I was there.

I thought I'd share my experience at The Heart Of Lancaster last night, my mother in law and I were there last night because she was having some pain in the area of her left side spleen which her family dr wanted her seen there for a cat scan. The cat scan came back normal except for a small blood clot on her lower right side lung. The only reason they even checked for a blood clot was because the family dr put in for it. We are very disappointed with the 3rd shift Dr. Because one he didnt seem to have any answers for why the pain was on the opposite side of where the blood clot was. And second the Dr. Had told her that her family dr would be putting her on a second medication that would break down the clot but come to find out that wasn't the case the same thing he prescribed her is a blood thinner and also BREAKS down the clot. The dr didnt explain anything at all, he made you feel like you were a bother. The nurses on the other hand were all very very nice and explained and answered all of the questions better than the dr. Did. Another issue we had was they took my mother in laws blood work and let it sit in our room for 30-35 mins the dr said he couldn't give her anything for pain because they needed her blood work checked but yet it sat in the room for 30-35 mins.

It is super upsetting that my once favorite hospital is now my biggest fear. I would rather drive 40+ minutes to Hershey during an emergency before I drive 20 minutes here for an emergency again after they humiliated me and laughed in my face during a time of struggle. They lack empathy, customer service and professionalism. They express their personal opinion as if their professionalism doesn’t set the tone for the entire company as a whole.

Waited over 45 minutes after vitals were taken to even see anyone, and that was a nurse who came in after I personally pushed the code button. Afraid if I took my mom here her condition would get worse and she's been dead for over 10 years!!!!
