River Pub & Grill

Great spot all around! Super friendly staff and welcoming vibes. My group got chicken wings (if you're getting these, the maple sauce is incredible!), a sandwich, a couple beers, and some desserts. We were all very happy with our food, but highly recommend the cobbler and the maple wings.

Very friendly staff. Our waitress was so sweet and checked in on us constantly. She even brought my service dog a bowl of water. We love dining on the patio to hear the waterfall. The food was amazing. Highly recommend

We came in today unexpectedly and were amazed. The cheese fondue was incredible! The wings were sized great, perfectly crispy and SO JUICY AND TENDER! The steak sandwich (a lot like a cheese steak) hit all the right flavor notes and was bursting with flavor. Fries great! Chips w blue cheese were perfect! And the service was stellar!
10/10 I highly recommend River Pub!

Pork belly is great. Grab a salad, beer and a pastrami sandwich. You can't go wrong. I never rate 5 stars for any restaurant. This one is close. A lot of food. Decent price. I'll be back.

Delicious burger and fries. Also got the garlic aioli for the fries, it was nicely garlic forward. Good drafts and friendly staff.

Food was absolutely awesome and our waitress Zara was great. Nice to have her delightful smile and exceptional service. Give the girl a raise. We ate outside and we enjoyed the evening of no rain for a change with out of state relative from Virginia. Thank you so much.

Had lunch with a friend on a weekday. Burger was recommended so I gave it a try. Not only was the burger one of the best I’ve had, the service was exceptional! Cooked perfectly, subtle pleasant char taste, well seasoned , very soft bun, and came with fresh cut fries.

Lots of menu options, reasonable prices and as mentioned, wonderful friendly service. Options to eat outside as well.

What a place to eat; the dining surprised me, and the guy that hosted our table was very polite and patient as well as fast with everything; even though I guzzled four glasses of water, bro was strapped with another glass of water. Having the pork belly caught me by surprise because I would expect someone serving pork belly in small town Brandon; the Mexican dip was 😫 and the chicken was very scrumptious ; however, it was pretty small. The sweet potatoes side thing is incredible; however, the French toast was mid. Loved it, though.

Our Waiter Zariah was top notch she is one to remember. You don't find people like her in Many places you go anymore. Thanks Also learned a lot about the roots of the River Pub who the owners are an what else they own.

Wonderful local restaurant with great service(thanks Zarrah!), amazing food and the apple cobbler was delicious. Was impressed with how reasonable the prices are as well.
Superb experience for our first day in VT!

Marissa at the bar was great! Great food and great service. I will definitely be back! I was there at 6 pm on a Saturday but it wasn’t too busy yet, the tables were full but not a loud place, the bar was pretty empty too. Overall great atmosphere

Quaint Grill Pub in downtown Brandon, VT just steps from shops and galleries. Fast friendly service and great food. I had the carrot bisque appetizer followed by the open face meat loaf sandwich. Both were excellent. I washed both down with an awesome Bloody Mary cocktail 🍹🍸. Bring your hungry face, as the portions are large and the price is reasonable!

Arrived within an hour of closing and the bartender 'hinted' that the kitchen was closing sooner so we ordered quickly. Chicken nachos and their version of Buffalo "wings" which were 3 smaller leg / thigh quarters. With the price of wings these days, an excellent win / win alternative with just enough heat. Nachos were generous with lots of chicken and an ample amount of green salsa with a fresh cilantro. Nice alternative to the regular version.
Good selection of craft beers, and a beautiful ( but pricey) feature cocktail highlighted their support for local suppliers.

Friendly, witty bartender added to the upscale modern decor for an above average dining experience. Little on the pricey side, but not unreasonably so.
Definitely a recommend if this is what you are looking for. Enjoy

I was frankly blown away by this little unpretentious place. Anticipated standard pubgrub but got as good and interesting a meal as I’ve had in a long time. Shrimp ceviche appetizer, kale salad and salmon entree all wonderful. Great service and Heady Topper available. Will definitely come back for more!

We just moved to Vermont, and this is one of our new favorites. I have had something different every time, and every time the food is amazing. Our favorite is the pork belly appetizer, which is thick hunks of uncured pork belly with a maple teriyaki sauce right now. Their hamburgers and steaks are Vermont beef and the best ribeye I've ever had was here. The cod was like butter! The sweet potato hash is an excellent side dish, and their housemade chips are a go to.

They have a full bar, including a decent wine selection, local IPAs, and cocktails. Love the blueberry sangria!

It's a very small pub with less than 10 tables and a bar, so make sure you reserve on busy days/times.

We had a great meal! Couldn’t wait to check out this new addition to Brandon after watching the renovations taking shape over the winter. The restaurant looks beautiful inside and out. We tried the “wings”, kale salad, cod sandwich❤ and pork and emu. All were terrific. Fresh, homemade chips and tasty fries rounded out our meal. Servers were all friendly and great. We sat inside and most tables were full and you could tell everyone was enjoying themselves. Highly recommend!

Visiting the Brandon area from Texas. What a lovely little place! Enjoyed an early dinner, hubby had a ribeye and I had the salmon. Both very delicious, and we shared a kale salad that was excellent. Our wait person was Alexa, and she was perfect. We highly recommend this place!

One of the best meals I've ever had... cornmeal & coconut crusted cod with sweet potato hash. Yum!

Enjoyed fantastic meals twice in the past week at River Pub. Menu includes appetizers, main course salads and sandwiches and entrees! The nachos and homemade chips with blue cheese are delicious..my steak was excellent with a maple ancho butter, glazed carrots and crisp potatoes..I wanted to order again! Definitely a great spot to eat!
