Chad and crew did an awesome job with a complete yankee gutter restoration on my 1843 greek revival farmhouse. They were efficient, did excellent work, and were responsive throughout the project. Would highly recommend them to anyone needing slate restoration.

It was a pleasure to work with Chad and CB Specialty Roofs. In addition to replacing damaged slates on my slate roof, they stripped and painted the hip and ridge rolls and cleaned the gutters. Above and beyond the contracted work, they agreed to trim back a few tree branches overhanging the roof. The work was done professionally and clean up was complete. After some difficult experiences with unreliable and untrustworthy contractors, it has been a relief finding CB Specialty Roofs. They were easily able to identify solutions to long-term construction issues and did so quickly and affordably. The craftspeople are world-class with many years of experience, historical knowledge and a pleasure to work with. Most importantly they show up as scheduled and conduct themselves in the most professional manner. Construction can be daunting but Chad and his team reduce much of that stress.

We have used C B Specialty Roofing for all of our slate roof repairs since we purchased the house. Chad is very professional while being personable. The work, each time, was done in the timeframe stated and was of excellent quality. We will continue to use his services for as long as we own the home and, if we were to sell, we will definitely pass this company’s info on to the next owner.

This was the best experience I’ve ever had with a contractor of any kind! CB Specialty Roofs was recommended to me by a friend of mine who had his roof installed by Chad. I called Chad, the principal, to make an appointment for him to come look at my roof and provide a quote. He was very detailed in his explanation of what his company will do, and even pointed out a few possible trouble spots (which I greatly appreciated!). We discussed options for material quality and color. Within a day or so I received an emailed proposal. The proposal itself was also very detailed and covered everything we discussed and more. Once I accepted the proposal (it was 25% less than the lowest quote I’d received, and included higher quality materials!), he set a date… for only a couple weeks from the day the proposal was accepted!! His crew was on time, worked diligently and meticulously, and finished the job in a timely manner! By looking around the property afterwards, you’d never know they were there! Not only did our roof turn out beautifully, but the crew went above and beyond what they promised by making some minor repairs to components associated with the roof! CB Specialty Roofs exceeded my expectations by far! Thank you Chad!!

We only set out to have the barn painted. At the recommention of the painting contractor "you need to have your slate roof repaired". We had no idea who to contact. The painter recommended Chad and we are so happy he did! After 20 years of neglect he helped us restore the slate roof and worked within our budget!
