Sumatra Café

This morning, as I was on my way to work, I had a little bit of time to grab a cup of coffee before catching my train. I came across this quaint cafe and decided to check it out. I am so glad that I did. Not only did I get a cup of coffee but I also got an egg & cheese sandwich on a croissant. My breakfast was absolutely amazing. The croissant was buttery and fresh. The sandwich literally melted in my mouth and the coffee was the finishing touch! I told the workers that this was the best breakfast sandwich that I ever had! I will DEFINITELY be back and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND supporting this small business. Tell em that James sent you and YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED!!!

This cafe is amazing. The food (both breakfast and lunch options) is amazing and well-priced. The workers are so nice and helpful, and the environment is great for getting some work done or chatting with friends.

I walked in for lunch, but instead had an experience! The three ladies behind the counter were engaging and friendly. The place is super cute and quite inviting.

For my meal, I had an egg white Sumatra Wrap...so delicious! Also, I had an expertly crafted Lavender Latte. Rich, foamy goodness up top and their tasty coffee under the surface of the foam.

If you're in the area or just passing through, you owe it to yourself to visit this little gem, Sumatra Café!

Yummy caramel macchiato! I love that they have made to order breakfast sandwiches and food. I will definitely return. Omg this was so good!

Insanely welcoming and kind staff. amazing interior and menu; I tried the almond croissant and my girlfriend had a spicy chicken wrap that I borrowed without returning. Tasted great and I will definitely be coming back to try everything

I came to Sumatra while waiting for my car to be serviced at a nearby dealership. Little did I know I was stumbling across this gem of a coffee shop!

I had an Americano and a sausage, egg, and cheese sandwich. It was less than $10 (including the tip!), came out quickly, and was SO GOOD. The bread had a perfect crunch, the cheese was great, and the sausage wasn't frozen! The espresso flavor is good and smooth.

On top of that, it's a nice quiet place to come to get some work done or just enjoy a coffee while looking out the nice, big windows and watch cars go buy.

Super close to the Jenkintown SEPTA rail station as well, so this is a must stop on your commute!

Really enjoyed this place. It was super clean and tidy. The staff was very welcoming and warm. Definitely a great place to support.

Very good Caramel Iced Coffee. I am also a Meat lover, but the Egg & Cheese on a Croissant Breakfast Sandwich was AMAZING!!! EDIT. Just got the Turkey Panini. OMG The turkey is soon freaking good.

The staff are so friendly and my favorite thing to order is the Sumatra Breakfast Wrap. If you are GF, it's also delicious deconstructed!

The food and coffee here is really amazing. I misread the fully loaded and for some reason didn’t think it was a breakfast sandwich. So I mistakenly asked for a blueberry bagel as my bread. Even still, the sandwich was tremendous. Caramel pumpkin latte was great too!

Really nice space with really friendly and helpful staff. The lattes are excellent, this is my new favorite coffee shop.

This is my go to place when I have a lay over wait at Jenkintown train station across the street. For breakfast I've had bagel and cream cheese breakfast sandwiches smoothies and for lunch I have had bacon lettuce and tomato paninis. All ingredients are fresh but the bread is super fresh which makes all the difference for a delicious sandwich or bagel. Prices are very reasonable for these economy stressed times. Plenty of seating area if you dine in.

Just moved into the neighborhood and went in to Sumatra Cafe and I am so glad I did! Such great people and atmosphere! I had a tasty smoothie and danish. They now have another regular customer! AND, it’s woman owned! Highly recommend!
