Beiter Department Store

Very nice and old-fashioned department store! It was extremely fun walking around in here, and there were a lot of little and cool quirky things to look at. I got a very nice hat there for cheap!

Used to go there when we lived in Danville. Great store with locals saying "if you can't find it at Beiters you don't need it."
Great country items. I would go back just to shop there again.

Best place ever. You can get snacks, crafting supplies, home decor, toys, and also cleaning supplies too. Everything .

Loved this store. It was a little like stepping back in time. Neat department store. Including fabrics, sewing, toys, housewares, gifts etc. Not many tools but a basic selection. Give it a visit, you'll be glad you did.

The store is neat and clean. Great customer service. They had homemade wood figurines which are made well. The selection of Christmas items were plentiful. I like the craft section. They have a variety of items such as stampers, stamp pads, paints, stickers, scrapbook paper and various art supply sets. I would recommend returning.

This store is great for all kinds of practical items needed for crafts, sewing, picture framing, stationery, kids toys, and general household stuff. There’s a section way in the back that has small, useful things on sale. It’s not a shiny or glitzy store, but full of everyday useful stuff. The staff are very helpful.

This is one of my favorite stores to shop. They have very unique items in all depts and a large selection of crafting items and paints. I like the interactive toys they have for children. All of the staff are very friendly and knowledgeable.

Beiter's reminds me of going to a Newberry's or Woolworth's as a small kid! They literally have a little bit of everything from Antacids to Zippers. They also have an awesome craft section and unique toy section filled with dozens of puzzles! A quick stop can easily turn into an hour distraction! Beiter's should be listed as a national treasure!

Best little store I've ever been in. They have everything! It's the darndest thing... Craft and sewing items, household goods, toys, seasonal items, beautiful gifts and jewelry... I got a mortar and pestle here (!!) Highly recommend!

They have everything you know you need and everything you didn't know you needed. You can always find the best unusual and hard to find gifts, craft supplies, candy, games... the list is endless.

A rare and wonderful store that has everything anyone would need and still has the old fashioned charm and helpful, cheerful employees. I especially like the toys from years gone by. The type that kids used their imaginations.

This store is a little gem. The owner and employees are wonderful. A little bit of everything can be found here. I love browsing around. I buy things here all the time. Support local business!

This store is every "crafty" person's dream. It may not carry the large, detailed selection of other chain craft stores, but it has EVERYTHING they don't have!

They carry toys, books, housewares, trinkets, figurines, you name it. I am especially impressed at the huge selection of animal-related decorative items they have, namely wolves and horses. My mother loves horses to death, and she and I walked around the store for almost an hour just beaming over all the beautiful items. I personally collect unicorn items, and they actually had an okay selection of things that were actually appealing to me. They have a fleece throw with unicorns on it that doesn't look like Lisa Frank drew it (those are the types I dislike when I'm looking for unicorn stuff).

I also enjoy collecting wolf-related things as well as Native American-themed items, and I was surprised at how many beautiful jigsaw puzzles they had featuring wolves and/or NA artwork. I plan on purchasing several in the future! They also carry soup mugs, statuettes, home decor, throws and just about everything else with a wolf theme. I suppose part of that comes from the area this store resides in. Many of my family members also collect these items and I see other people that do also. I'm glad there's a store that targets that market, as finding something like a soup mug with a painted wolf on it isn't something you can get at your local big box store. They all would make wonderful gifts!

I couldn't believe how low the prices were on some of the items. There are a few large glass cases in the front of the store chock with different statues and figures, and when I looked underneath one of the huge dragon statues, it was only $25! You'd see the same item going for $50 or more at a chain store. There are also some amazing Disney figures in the cases, too.

They also carry a small supply of The Mountain brand t-shirts, which for anyone who is a fan of the brand will very much enjoy being able to just go to this store and find a shirt from them, and for only about $14 versus the $18-25 they charge online (plus shipping).

The employees are friendly and helpful, the music isn't too loud over the speakers and the prices are at average or slightly less (sometimes incredibly less) than other stores. I'm completely in love with this store!

I love this store! Every time I am in the store, I see Mr. Beiter working right a long with everyone else. Everyone is very friendly and they have everything PLUS the greatest puzzle selection I have ever seen.

ONE STOP gift shop. Reliable retailer: your limited life's time is valued here. Unique store from an attentive retailer family. Numerous Puzzles, LEGO specialties, models, Art supplies, fabric & Decor as well as sensible things like lighted magnifiers, tick tweezers, Chicago Cuttlery knife I was looking for. Flowers, Best sox and underwear. Old products households used to depend on. I usually Make it a practice to stop when I go to the Geisinger Medical Center nearby.
