Great food, pleasant service, clean, modern atmosphere. Tiny tables only drawback. Make a reservation and show up on time.
Great hollandaise sauce. The home fries were the star, crunchy, yet soft in the middle. The seemed deep fried, but weren’t too greasy.

A pleasant place to have breakfast on your way home from Burlington, Vermont. The food is great and you won’t need to eat lunch so bring an appetite. Gf option available and I was given greens instead of bread. Fresh flowers throughout the restaurant were lovely.

Cozy atmosphere with like 8 tables and some bar seating, great place for a brunch! Highly recommend the 'rustic breakfast' to try a bit of everything.

Came soon after they opened and they were super busy from the morning rush so we had to wait, but that was fine with us and they offered us coffee too. It was 100% worth the wait because the food was amazing and did not disappoint. Can’t wait to try something else next time, but the OG eggs benedict was unique and perfect.

Love this place! Breakfast menu is interesting yet simple. Flavors are very good, even if they're a bit on the conservative side. The service is wonderful. Very happy about our first visit.

My fiancé and I are from NJ and after a very long trip, found this place online and decided to stop for breakfast. Best choice ever. Food was phenomenal. He got the OG Eggs Benedict on a popover and I got the almond butter waffle with a side of potatoes and sausage. I don’t have one bad thing to say. Everything exceeded our expectations. Our server was very new but super sweet and the manager of the place (wasn’t able to catch her name) did a great job of guiding her when needed. Manager was also super friendly, sociable, and laughing and talking with us as well as other guests. Just a great atmosphere paired with great food. Our next trip to Vermont we will absolutely be back!

1st time at this establishment. Have gone by it for years but never stopped in. Amazing food! Will definitely go back. Should be on the list of best restaurants in the area. Won't be disappointed.

We were driving through and looked for a place to eat. Rustic Roots had a high review rate so we stopped. They live up to the great reviews! Everyone loved what they ate! Our server was awesome! Get the popovers!! Great place!!

One of the best omelets and crispy potatoes I've ever had in my life. Fantastic poppers filled with a garlicky butter and very good pumpkin waffles. You can tell that a lot of love, care and technique goes into making the food. Amazing service, delicious food, very bad coffee (which surprised me as they had a really nice coffee machine and since everything else was top notch but it was not good), but a super cozy vibe that I'd look forward to returning to time and time again!

Best poached eggs I’ve had. Seasonal menu. Came here in October. Best restaurant so far on our trip.

Delicious food in a cozy setting! I had the eggs benedict with autumn hash, which I assume is a seasonal dish. The hollandaise sauce was one of the best I've ever had, and I loved the hash! All of the vegetables were fresh and the apple chunks were a perfect addition for Fall.

Excellent breakfast spot right in Shelburne center and across the street from the weekly farmers market. This restaurant is charming (it’s not very large) with friendly staff and delicious food. Our party got a variety of sweet and savory breakfast foods and it was all top notch. I really would recommend this spot if you’re in the area.

My trip to Vermont would not be complete without this baked blueberry pancake! Food is delicious, definitely make a reservation as there is limited seating and it seems to be a popular place.

Rustic Roots is our most favorite restaurant in Shelburne. We love everything about it: the vibe, the ambiance, the people, and, of course, the creative eclectic offerings.

Our most recent dinner with friends was just as delightful as our previous experiences at RR. The winter menu choices are abundant and diverse. We loved loved loved the smoked tomato soup, the pates and the terrine (all made in house by Chef Mike), the escargots, and the chicken under the brick. Surrounded by the warmth and attention generously offered by co-owner Ashley and her wonderful staff and by extremely creative Heart Show art pieces decorating the walls, we didn't want to leave!

Definitely a culinary gem that will win your heart, so leave your inner critic at home and enjoy an fantastic gourmet meal at Rustic Roots!

Amazinggggg brunch spot! I’ve never had a bad dish here. All their local ingredients are spot-on within their menu. DO NOT skip the pop overs! They have fun drinks too (even a virgin Bloody Mary is delish). Definitely a small dining area because it’s a cute converted house, so you likely need reservations. But I did call on a lark the other day and we were able to get a weekend table within 20 minutes for 2! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼

If you like brunch, this is the spot for you! The interior was charming, small and inviting. There was a mix up with reservations, but the staff were quick to resolve the issue and get us seated, now for the food...We got the baked apple pancake for the table. It was massive, fluffy, and not too sweet. The popovers were perfectly fluffy and eggy but what really caught my attention was the homemade marmalade. Its SPECTACULAR! Spiced perfectly to balance out the sweet and tangy flavors. the maple coffee sausage wasnt spectacular, but certainly not bad. My main dish was the monte cristo. It was amazing. Very filling, loaded with thick cut ham and rich local cheese! 10/10 would recommend!

A New Year's Feast!!!

We were so happy to learn that our favorite craft eatery was putting together a New Year's Eve menu! In these unusual and somewhat awkward times, it takes even more talent and determination to create an enjoyable offering for a special occasion. We were super excited to be among a small group of NYE diners in Rustic Roots' cozy and wonderfully arranged dining room that night.

Mike and Ashley once again put together a signature feast! A deligtful visually appealing journey of the palate, for sure!

We loved every dish! A cold smoked duck breast, chicken confit, scallops, petit filet mignon, and a chocolate hazelnut torte were the main performance in this gourmet variety show of culinary finesse.

Thank you for another fantastic experience, Rustic Roots! 👏👏👏🥳🥰
