421 Craft Bar and Kitchen

I really enjoyed the food here. The pizza and burger exceeded my expectations. As a snobby New Yorker, I was pleasantly surprised with how great everything was. I highly recommend this place.

Fantastic food, friendly service, dog friendly outdoor seating. They don’t accept reservations but we (a party of four) and my dog walked right in for an outdoor table on a Saturday evening a little before 6p.

We were there for dinner vs drinks/beer as none of us are big drinkers. We started with two serving of the grilled beef kofta kebabs drizzled with a spicy sauce. They were seasoned well, a bit more rare would have been our preference, nevertheless tasty.

Two of us had the beef stroganoff over papparadelle and two, the grilled bourbon salmon over a farro, green apple, arugula salad. Both were outstanding!!

We’re sure the drinks are good but here’s four thumbs up for the food. Highly recommend and we’ll be back on our next visit!

Great pizza and beer along main street Bennington. Pizzas were delish, thin and super soft. I got the "No sleep till Brooklyn" which had Chorizo, basil and honey. My wife got one with butternut squash, maple syrup and caramelized onion. Also got a hot tomato oil & bread appetizer and some dang good ciders. Definitely recommend.

Went for my birthday with my wife and two adult sons. Seated quickly and server was at our table quickly. Got our drinks in short order, and ordered some appetizers. We got Fried Ravioli, Tuna Sashimi and a Garlic Hummus plate. They were all excellent! I personally enjoyed the Fried Ravioli the most. Our meals were just as excellent and served in a timely manner. We had plans after dinner and had plenty of time to get to the comedy show down the street at the Bennington Theater (formerly OldCastle Theater). The specialty drinks we all had were most excellent as well!

Our waitress Jen was amazing, helpful and a beautiful and friendly smile!! We just happened to get dinner here and it was so delicious and if we lived closer we would frequent often!!!
Being 13 hours away that makes it hard!!

This meal was really, really good. All of the veggies were crunchy and gently pickled, and complimented the flavors of the rice pilaf beautifully, as did the savory sauce. I could eat this meal over and over, with or without the meat (which was incredibly tender). My friend had the Pho, which was good too.

A brand new find for Bennington and a WINNER for sure, this month old tapas Restaurant is a neighborhood gem!!! Hopefully this place will be around for decades to come because it deserves 10 stars and a huge following. We were visiting From Philly and our little hotel, The Knotty Pine , recommended this cute find on Main Street in Bennington.
Beginning with the hostess who was so cheery and pleasant, to her mom Jen who was serving us, the place is filled with genuinely happy servers and guests. The atmosphere and decor is simple, functional, and relaxed. Every age group was eating there when my husband and I dined, so everyone is welcome !
The food was phenomenal. .Phenomenal!We own several restaurants in Philadelphia, a town known for our outstanding food, and I am happy to report the outstanding and talented chef here could show any one of our snobby Philly chefs a run for their money!! We started with a seasonal, delectable, spicy gazpacho with chopped avocado on top that was to die for. Then we had a yummy garlicky baba ganoush with warm toasted homemade pita, clams with chorizo sausage in a superb garlic broth, and then the best was saved for last.... Crispy grilled pork belly sliders that were by far, the BEST we have ever had, in any state in the US!!Void of any grease and crispy with every single bite, these 3 sliders that were stuffed with pork belly (no skimpy servings here) were devoured in no time. I wish we could have had four because I hated sharing the third one!!! (Perhaps they should price an option to have 4). They were By Far my favorite tapas of the night.
The massive craft beer collection is impressive, as well as their nifty craft cocktails, using creative locally sourced seasonal ingredients.
Bravo to the whole team at421 Main... they deserve a standing ovation in my dining book of great new finds in the US dining scene.

Had a great visit right in the heart of Bennington. The pizza was very tasty and the staff was friendly!

Good was pretty good. Filling and a decent price for the locale.
Italian sandwich would have been better heated up. 😉

The food at 421 Craft Bar and Kitchen was fantastic. With a fantastic combination of tastes and original twists, the menu is a gourmet joy. Excellent craft beer collection that appeals to all tastes. The environment is chic and contemporary, which creates a lively and pleasurable feeling. It's a noteworthy restaurant because of the friendly personnel and excellent service.

Fast service, good appetizers and food, perfect spot outside to see the car show. The craft beers are excellent.

Been to 421 twice, and both times the food was excellent. Overall, 5 stars, but subtracting one star on service rating (Beta) only because of an extremely slow kitchen the first visit. No issues during the second visit, so I'll add the fifth star for service if a third visit goes smoothly. Looking forward to trying their pizza. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Excellent beer selection. Overall, a very welcomed addition to the dining scene in Bennington.

Third visit and I'm bumping the service rating (Beta) from 4 to 5 stars. A new server, Erin, did an excellent job. Overall, still 5 stars.

Had an awesome dinner tonight!!! Our waitress was AMAZING (Kay from NC). It was so funny when we mentioned we were from NC and she replied me too!! Very attentive and also gave us things to do while in town!!

Food is great. Was seated and served quickly. Good service and nice vibe.

Was the best Caesar salad I have ever had; with the dressing massaged into the lettuce and lots of garlic (I asked if it was made here, they said yes. So good!). Also got the french fries with Alabama white sauce. Don't know what is in the sauce but it is addictively delicious. Got the tater tots to and they were good but I expected more cheesiness. Our waiter was handsome and nice (Paul) and he wanted us to have a great experience.

We planned to go elsewhere and stopped at The 421 instead. Glad we did. Great food, great beer selection, wonderful service and open air atmosphere.

Good menu and bar selection. Jen is super nice and good bartender!
We had Don Juilo margaritas, maybe a shot too... and Papas Fritas, yep, French Fries. Yummy

Food was great. We had a hard time getting out waitress back to our table. We had to ask another waitress for our silver ware and plates!
