I was very happy to find such a wonderful fish store. The owner was a pleasure to talk too and seemed very knowledgeable on the aquarium trade.

The fish were all super healthy and the tanks were kept in really good condition. The prices on fish was very good. I could call the store a destination store with such good quality at affordable prices.

Sadly I live far away and was passing through. I hope to visit again and suggest going to check out Something Fishy to support a great company.

Such an amazing range of fish types, sizes, colors! Prices were very reasonable and the tanks were clean. The owner was very knowledgeable and friendly and gave advice on what is the best type of fish for our existing tank!

This was my first time going there, and I'll tell you what. Its the best freshwater fish store I've been to in years. The owner is very knowledgeable and doesn't try to sell you something you don't need. Highly recommended!!!

Something fishy is the place to go for anything fish related. Ian the owner has extensive knowledge of the care and maintaining of all different kinds of fish. He can explain tank setup, proper balancing of the tank, how to combine the correct fish together and your tank so they won't eat each other... LOL! But it's more than just that, he has tanks everywhere with sizes reaching over a hundred gallons. In some he has stingrays, freshwater gars, and other large fish, I could only dream of having. We bought a tank from a large pet store that was happy to sell us almost $100 worth of tank, decorations and fish and really didn't explain the proper care and maintenance of the tank. We were led to believe just add water, fish, plug in the filter and heater and that was all you needed to do. Ian walked us through step-by-step what we need to do to set up our tank, stock it and maintain it successfully without killing our fish every couple weeks. We will buy Future fish from this store, and when we upgrade to a larger tank, I will consult with him on how to do it properly. Highly recommend this store for the expertise and knowledge of the owner. He also said that if he didn't stock what we desired, he could order it. So I would rather go to the store that Deals Only in fish and has a man who knows how to raise and maintain them. He also has breeder tanks and explained the process of all that, it's a little bit above what I'm ready for now. Very nice to talk with him!

Extremely impressed! Something Fishy has everything you need, whether you're a beginner or an advanced 'fish person'. Was very surprised with the amount of different kinds of fish they have! From the basic guppy to the exotic kinds, plus has all of the accessories that are needed. Being a novice, I was full of questions and the owner took the time to answer every question I had with full explanations that I could understand. Owner is exceptionally knowledgeable in all aspects & very friendly ~definitely worth the drive!

Owner is super friendly and so helpful! Thanks are clean, fish are healthy, and it was just an all around fun trip and a learning experience for sure! A little off the beaten path, but we'll worth finding!!

A lot of variety of fish, shrimps, snails, crawfish, etc that you don't see in the big chain pet stores around Dubuque! They all look very healthy and well cared for, plus they sell decor, aquariums, filters, substrate, etc. All very fairly priced! The owner is very knowledgeable, helpful, and nice, unlike some of the workers I've talked to in the chain stores. He is genuinely interested in your questions and gives great advice. I definitely recommend this local fish store to anyone who loves fish!

Best selection of fish in 100 miles. Couldn't believe the quality of the fish and the owner and his daughter were very knowledgeable about tropical fish. I will be coming here for all my fish needs from now on. Forget the big box stores in Dubuque!!!!

Best local fish store in a 50 mile radius. Had a great selection of fish with a focus on African and South American cichlids and plecos. I had read the reviews online ahead of time and I would definitely say it lives up to the hype.

Went to pick up female guppies and the owner was amazing very helpful gave us tips to help our fish thrive definitely shopping there for all our fish needs from now on keep up the work!

I'll admit it's a little awkward figuring out how to get to the shop but once you get there you realize its a great little aquarium shop! They definitely have some unique and hard to find fish and the service is great!
