Great food, service and environment. The breakfast burritos were so flavorful (I had a vegetarian burrito with sweet potato and feta which was a delicious combination). The environment is relaxed with great murals on the wall. There is a nice variety of coffee and tea drinks.

What a unique experience! Highly recommend supporting their mission. I had the pork quinoa bowl for breakfast, and the salsa verde was absolutely delicious. We also ordered the french toast bread pudding that was amazing. Leave some time to tour the grounds after, such an awesome experience.

Decided to check Convivium out for lunch. Heard a lot of great things they are doing for the community and wanted to support their efforts.

My wife and I enjoyed our coffee options and both of our food options.

Our server was great and explained everything they have going on.

We walked around the property to check it out while our lunch was being made. Nice setup they have and a lot bigger than I thought.

Food didn't take long at all.

I don't know how they did it but they made a simple bacon, egg and cheese panini one of the best breakfasts I've ever had! And such a unique concept! Its a garden-to-plate restaurant, built in the heart of a downtown neighborhood, with art from local artists featured in the decor. Their food is made from scratch with ingredients picked from their extensive garden complex built behind the restaurant. Herbs and spices, vegetables, even the eggs gathered fresh from hens they raise! And after eating you can tour their gardens. So cool! And sooooo delicious!

Love their food, drinks and restaurant. They the best quinoa bowls, breakfast burritos. Their salsas are so fresh and actually colorful. Always get their caramel lattes abd for sure one to go. If you love crescents, you must try their almond crescents. If you like chickens , say hi to the chickens they care for and see how their gardens are doing.

Wonderful atmosphere. Great menu & servers. I'm celiac and had the sweet potatoe pancake with eggs. Hubs had their home made granola & toast. Everything was delicious. It's a former greenhouse. Proceeds go to and excellent cause. We will absolutely be back!

Our favorite place to eat when visiting dubuque. They are a not for profit with a dedication to the community. Service was excellent... prompt and efficient. Their facility is beautiful and you can take a self guided tour while waiting for your meal. The food for all three people in our party was extraordinary. We had breakfast and everything was perfectly cooked and beautifully presented. We didn't have any of their specialty drinks but the table next to us did and they looked fantastic so we'll definitely try them next time.

This enterprise is so many different things: a coffee shop, a restaurant, a nonprofit whose mission is to improve life through food, and a few other things. The coffee drinks are good, the menu interesting, the cause admirable. Highly recommended by me.

An interesting location to visit! We were there for a company party. Food was great. Room was perfect for our gathering! We are planning to go back to have coffee and enjoy some conversation!

We were visiting the area from out of town - but we loved this place for breakfast so much that we came twice! We tried the breakfast paninis and the breakfast burrito, French toast bread pudding and the potatoes. The breakfast paninis were my favorite, and they were made with delicious l, scratch made bread!

The atmosphere was lovely. It's a wide open room with a sitting area with couches, and several long tables, giving plenty of space for a group. We brought some tabletop games to play while we waited for our food.

We both ordered espresso drinks and they were great. Service was prompt, kind, and respectful.

An interesting place in downtown Dubuque. We've been brought here by local relatives on various occasions but it had always been closed for one reason or other.

Our waitress was very pleasant and efficient and the food was decent if not particularly remarkable. My boys and I had the breakfast burritos which were good. My wife had their breakfast panini which she shared with my youngest. She agrees that the burrito was ok but said that the panini was very good - "can't really go wrong with cheese bacon and eggs" but the buttered bread of the panini was nice and crunchy.

The story behind Convivium is more compelling and worth a conversation and your support.

A free breakfast for us other than the tip as we weren't allowed to fight to the death to determine who would pay 😀
but I was told it was about $95 for 7 of us for brunch which is incredibly reasonable for 2023

Went for the open house last week and had a wonderful time seeing all the gardens and hearing about their wide variety of programs/classes to eating the excellent food. Staff was freindly and helpful and inspiring. I can not recommend them enough. Everyone should go and support them.

Several months ago, my wife and I hosted our wedding rehearsal dinner at Convivium Urban Farmstead. We wanted to make sure that we left a review of our amazing experience so others will hopefully follow in our footsteps! My wife and I reserved Convivium’s event space for three hours, requested a staffed cash bar, and hosted a dinner buffet.

Communication/coordination with the Convivium staff was prompt and thorough. We had several specific requests ranging from dietary restrictions to drink requests that were accommodated with minimal communication. People enjoyed the murals, exploring the farmstead, and learning more about the nonprofits mission. Guests raved about how great the food was and the pricing structure of this venue can’t be beat. If you are searching for a space to host an event, please check out Convivium Urban Farmstead. We can’t recommend it enough.

Had a great time at disco brunch. Quiche of day was great and our server was great. They were busy but they handled it like champs. My recommendation stop worrying about seating times. If there's a wait. Grab a cup.of coffee. Hand out on the comfy couches and chat with friends. Definitely recommend you check out this place.Great music during disco brunch. . Nestled in the heart of a quaint neighbourhood of northern Dubuque is the artistic meshing of wood and steel with concrete and reclaimed fixtures that is the home of some of the most interesting breakfast options in the area. We went by the reviews and were not disappointed. An open layout with views of the kitchen pay homage to the wholesome and honest food options. Classics with twists, like the french toast bread pudding or the sweet potato pancakes, there is enough familiarity here to please the traditionalist while pushing anyone just enough outside of their comfort zones to a new edible experience. If you have any doubts about trying it out, silence them and make your way over now. You won't be dissapointed.

Food was good. And they had bottomless mimosas for brunch which the table behind us definitely took advantage of! Fun experience and we will definitely be back!

Excellent all around!!! Fresh from scratch sauces and jams that are made from produce grown in their gardens. I love their mission.
I suggest you check out their website to see all the non-profit work they do for this community.
The wait staff was very friendly and they made you feel that they were genuinely glad you came.
I will definitely be going back.
