Absolutely amazing restaurant!

We stopped in for dinner while we spent the weekend at Stratton. This place is a hidden gem. Pizza was top notch. Calzone was packed with toppings. Bang Bang shrimp was next level. And the French onion soup *chefs kiss*

If you are in the area and looking for a meal, come to Jake's. Service was great and so was every meal we ordered.

Have lived in the area for 2 years, bemoaning the fact that there was no good food or drink nearby! How blind I was to have not found this place earlier!!!! The bloody mary was the best I've had in years, outside of downtown Boston; the French onion soup was the best I've had since I lived in Montreal; and the meatloaf was to die for! Many other amazing things on the menu, as well!!!!! And the price was so low I had to ask the waitress to double check it!!!!!

I often feel like when I’m in VT my two options are hardcore farm-to-table or old-man diner style meat fest. Jake’s was the cure!

Super comfy with a lovely vibe, I had the crab cakes eggs Benedict and it was ON POINT. Truly great crab cake—not heavily fried, not oily, lots of 🦀—covered in delicious house made hollandaise sauce. Hash browns were solid, well done neither too crispy or raw. Solid coffee too.

My friends all loved their meals too. I saw some dank blueberry pancakes, served with maple syrup (not the other stuff), good looking omelettes and more.

Staff was friendly, funny, and on their game. The chef/owner Tad ended up saying hey too.

10/10 would eat there again!

One waitress so had a short wait at table. She was friendly and served us well. Our burgers and fries were excellent. We would eat there again when in the area. Clean dining area and restrooms.

Jake's is one of our favorite places to eat. Their chicken cheese steak has a secret ingredient which pars it with the steaks in Philly. Their entrees run the gamut of good choices. And we've had many of them. Service is quick and the staff is attentive. I can hardley wait, meanwhile, for October (?) when the turkey platter available. All in all, Jake's is a terrific place to go to enjoy a good reasonable meal.

Been coming here for years, a great hole in the wall with friendly staff, great food, and homey atmosphere. Always feel like family when I go in or get take out. They have improved over the years, and keep continuing to stay awesome, no matter what struggles happen!

My experience was wonderful. My fiance and I went in for a quick dinner, and the staff could not have been nicer. The fish and chips special was delicious, and we split one meal and still were completely satisfied. We have gone there before and most certainly will go again.

We've been bringing our bus tour groups to Jake's for years. This is a Hidden Gem. The food is excellent, sufficient and the service is friendly. We're looking forward to another group visit the first week of October. I would highly recommend Jake's to anyone traveling through the area.

The bartender really knows how to make drinks, which is a breath of fresh air in Vermont. The fish fry was fantastic, I was really impressed with how good it was and I believe the Tartar Sauce was homemade and that was amazing too. I'm really glad we ended up stopping here, it was one of the highlights of our trip.

This place has one of the best cheesesteaks and fries anywhere! Stopped by while on vacation and just driving through the area. White American cheese, ribeye, and Amoroso quality roll! Thanks Jake!

We ate there earlier this week while visiting Vermont. The food portions were large and the taste was fantastic. We over ordered but got to sample wings, poutine, pizza, ceasar salad etc.... one of the hamburgers was over cooked, but would love to go back. BTW my husband ordered a small cup of tomato/cheddar soup.....wow.

This place was amazing!!! The food was on point and our waitress had an awesome personality. She made the experience. We’ll be coming back every trip. 🖤

Best place around by far. Everything is always consistent and great. All of the staff work together incredibly well and are very respectful and friendly. Most have been there for years. They will get to know you with in just a couple visits, and it soon feels like home. Though many places near by seem to be constantly raising prices and cutting portions, Tad has made a point over the years to keep his prices fair, as well as offers specials almost every night, so there really is something for anyones budget. He cares about his local customers in a way few do.
Whether you want to sit in the dining room and have a nice or romantic dinner, or in the tavern having drinks and wings, they will take care of you and provide the experience you want each time. If you have had a bad night elsewhere, they will go above and beyond to ensure that the positive experience with them will have made your night worthwhile in the end. Thank you Tad, Jodi, and Ray for always being awesome.

I walked in with my cranky kids during a snow storm since our car couldn’t get up the hill. The kids were not having their best moment but the waitresses were incredible and treated us like family. She asked them questions and offered some oyster crackers and coloring books. The kids were so grateful. The food was great but there is something so Vermont and authentic about the people who work at the place. I will be forever grateful how they took care of my family.

My 4 kids and I stopped here for lunch and we couldn't have been more pleased. Our waitress was amazing, the restaurant was clean, well kept and the food tasted great. Everyone enjoyed their meals.

Havent been here in about 20 yrs. It was nice to know that it hasn't changed much but in the ways it did was for the positive. The menu was so good it was hard to decide what we wanted to eat. The extreme poutine was extremely awesome. The pizza was great as it was recommended by a local up in Weston. I had the bolonese which was done in a way that is not your normal boring meat sauce on pasta. The waitress we had was great at her job and come to find out she has family that lives 8 houses away from us in CT. Def will go back when we go up again. We go up every couple months so I dont know why it took so long to go back to Jake's.

This spot is a real hidden gem. We really loved the pizza! Great dinner and great prices. Highly recommend!

Delicious, friendly, great prices. Enjoying a visit to Vermont, and we were so delighted to find this place. Traditional poutine, blue cheese burger, lightly breaded haddock...so, so satisfying.

This restaurant was above and beyond expectations.

Was a little worried about the average 3.8/5 rating, but that was completely wrong! It should be 10/5!!

The service was excellent, the food was way better than expected, and the wait time for food was minimal.

The only thing I think I should mention is that it is a bit expensive. I'd say the average price for a meal was $10, but that's OK considering the quality of the food. All in all, I'd say it was excellent. Would definitely recommend to a friend.
