The tour guide was GREAT. He's a teacher during the school year and was the perfect guide for our 7 year old's first cave tour. He even took the time to answer my son's question about poison ivy along the entrance path, explaining what it looked like and how to spot it. The cave itself was beautiful with really amazing features. Highly recommend.

One of the best caves in Missouri we've been to so far. Loved it! They were also teaching insect pinning in the visitor center. So my son learned how to pin a grasshopper. He loved it!

This visit we walked their trail. It is a clear trail but not a smooth one. There are multiple rocky areas that require you to step high and watch your steps. It is a very pretty walk, and will likely take you between 30-45 min unless you are really taking your time. In years past, we have toured the Cave multiple times. It is mostly an easy egress with just a few tighter places. There is almost no climbing up or down so a good cave to visit for those who cannot handle a lot of up and down. A couple of cautionary items. 1st, you carry your light with you via supplied electric lanterns. 2nd and related to the first, they have a moment where they will ask you to turn them off to experience the complete lack of light. 3rd, as with most caves, it will be chilly. 100F outside but naturally cold inside. Last and associated with the 3rd, it is moist in the cave so I would recommend tennis shoes, not saddles. Not walking in steams of water but there may be puddles.

Knowledgeable rangers, interesting information about cave formation and history.

Would have liked to see a slightly larger souvenir section, but outside of that no complaints at all.

The tour guide Meg was outstanding! We had a great time. 1/4 mile walk into the cave system is as far as you can go. All lantern lit provided by park. No electricity in cave. 56 degrees year around with plenty of stalagmites and stalactites and columns. Also only one of a handful of caves worldwide that have shower head stalactites. Water continuously "rains" down from the formation even during droughts. One of the coolest things I have ever seen! The tour is one hour and very inexpensive!!! Well worth the time. Set it as a destination point for your trip! Tip: you are allowed to take your camera into the cave system inside a plastic bag. We missed out!

I took my mother and son to Ozark Caverns in August. We had an amazing experience! The tour guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. The cave doesn't have show lights inside the cave, so we got to carry individual lanterns into the cave. Using the lanterns was a very unique experience. The "angel shower" formation alone was worth the trip. The park also has several trails to walk and there is a visitors center.

Really cool cave, the angel showers segment was by far the best part of the cave and really unique. Unfortunately the cave suffers from white nose syndrome and the abundant bat population no longer exists. Still worth the visit though as the cave is just amazing and you get to hold your own lamp. The temp in the cave stays in the upper 50s and you will be just fine in shorts and a T-shirt - feels amazing in the summer. FYI you are not allowed to bring a lot of stuff in the cave at all. No bags, hats, phones, watches, water bottles, sunglasses, etc. they have a lock up cabinet to store all that in. If you are the kind of person that will die if you can’t bring your phone with you, they let people put phones in a plastic bag and take that in the cave; Just know that we all look down on you.

Awesome place. My first time visit to a cave and loved every moment spent there. Our guide knew everything about it and was quick to answer any questions that we had. You are not allowed to take any loose items and take photographs but you won't regret it anyways! Must visit if you are in or near lake ozark. And a big thanks to our guide. Overall a pleasant experience.

We had Morgan as our guide. She was so informative and had a great passion for her job as a cave guide. They fit us in as we came 7 minutes late. The cave was beautiful. I would definitely be back.

Cavern was neat, particularly the shower head. I like that the only light is from the lanterns you carry. I wish the lanterns had better directional light though. Could only see so far. James was a good tour guide. Thanks!

Very intimate look into another world. Highly recommended. Nice drive to park and cool swinging bridges nearby. Visitor center is informative and has so me nice exhibits. Cave is not recommended for little kids under 3.

Guided tour through the cave carrying lanterns is surely something my kids will remember forever. A wonderful reprieve from the summer heat too!

Had a great time looking around the visitor center and going in the cave. Due to "white nose syndrome" (I think) with the bats, we weren't allowed to bring anything else when we went.
