Buckalew's Restaurant & Tavern

The food was great and as well as the service! I’ve been wanting to try Buckalew’s for a long time and I was not disappointed. I got the linguine with clams and it was super good. I also tried the new york 14oz. steak which had some fatty pieces, but it was still delicious especially with the vegetables on top. I had a party of 7 and I believe that everyone at my table was satisfied. Buckalew’s honestly have a lot to choose from. There’s sushi, steaks, burgers, pasta, grilled cheese and everything in between. Because of this I think the restaurant can appeal to more and more people (because a lot of variety type foods there are still delicious). I give this restaurant a solid 5/5 because although I did give the food 5/5, it’d probably be more like 4.7/5 but the service was good. Not to mention the atmosphere was pretty cool although it wasn’t like outstanding, it was still pretty great and a really amazing restaurant and I recommend to anyone who wants a good sit down bite down in LBI.

Prompt service. Great food. Good size portions. Only a 20 minute wait for a party of 6. Awesome live music. Performer saw my son walk in wearing a Phish t-shirt and opened his set with a Phish song that got crowd rocking and rolling.

Went to Buckalew's for lunch today. As opposed to normally going for dinner.
Christina was our server. She was really great.
Today I just had their Reuben sandwich with fries. Very delicious. Looking forward to going again the next time I'm in LBI. Next time, definitely dinner. Oh, the picture is of the take out order I took when I got home.

A little loud, but the food and service shines thru. Solid drink menu and the food was on point. A definite second trip here next time on the island.. easy in and easy out during the busy season. Thank you Megan, your a superstar and the reason I'll be back

Classic rustic beach town bar. Menu had a great mix. Can’t get pot pie and sushi at many places. Wife and I sat at the bar. The bartender was very nice and attentive. Sushi was nice but the flavor of the rice was a bit bland. Maybe didn’t have any rice wine vinegar cooked into it, not sure. Jumbo pretzel was fantastic. Fish and chips were great. Clams we slightly undercooked but the broth an bread made up for it. Beer was tasty 😋

My daughter and I had a lunch date today. Outstanding experience straight across the board. Spotless clean, perfect Bloody Mary's, and our food was cooked to perfection. Another plus was our server, Hailey. Personable, prompt and professional. She was attentive without being intrusive, and genuinely happy at her job. She does it effortlessly, and is a true asset. I most definitely recommend Buckalew's. I can't wait to come here for dinner!!

Yum, yum, yum…. The sushi 🍣 was very fresh and the poke bowl 🍲 too. Enjoyed both entrées. My friends had burgers 🍔 and onion rings. Delicious. Plus Ruben sandwiches also good. Watermelon 🍉 sangria was really delicious. 🍹

I can't believe we haven't been to Buckalew's before, but last night was our first. And we will be back. Great appy's, soup, and dinners. Our server was super fun and the vibe of the entire restaurant - with a guitar duet playing some great music - was terrific. PS Don't miss the Brussel Sprouts appetizer - excellent!

Went out with the wife and had the happy hour hot wings and a burger. The wings were the best that i have had in a very long time. We aren’t exactly close (we were on the island for a presentation), but I can’t stop thinking about how good those wings were and can’t wait to go back!

The waitress noticed and I didn't want to say anything .however she was concerned and I reluctantly explained why. I told her it was not necessary to tell her manager, a lovely woman and I believe her name was Michele I am probably wrong . We talked about my dinner and I didn't want her to do anything however she did not charge me , offered me a new dinner I declined. Because my wife's dinner was amazing and was so big we could not finish it together. I want.to thank my.server and the manager for their absolutely amazing attention to customer satisfaction even when I did not ask for any. This kindness and professionalism is not always talked about and appreciated. Well it was for my wife and I and we can't thank the staff for their attention to excellence.

I've worked with Buckalew's for years and had the pleasure of eating there for the first time. Despite being short staffed, everyone was phenomenal. Jeff was behind bar handling many tables by himself yet, still providing friendly service. Jessica was our server and her positive attitude and quick attention to our table was wonderful. Last but no least, every morsel of food was excellent. This place can be easy to walk past but, I highly suggest stopping by.

Wonderful place. The staff was very friendly and food came out quick. It was delicious and I would highly recommend it if you’re looking for an upscale restaurant!

We hit up Buckalews for the first time today. We got the Jay's special roll, shrimp tacos and fish/chips (and 2 bottles of Lamarca prosecco). It was fantastic and the service was equally fantastic! The fish wasn't overly breaded. The tacos were stuffed! The sushi was a huge surprise for both of us. It was all great! We couldn't be happier! Merry Christmas, Happy Holidays and drive safely!

Always a great meal at Buckalews. Super friendly staff. Plenty to choose from entrees to sandwiches to pizza.

Always open high season or low season, full bar and wine list, comfort foods, sushi, seafood, burger, pizza. There is a bar, booth, and 2 table sections. This restaurant is good for all ages.

Everything was great! The sushi was fantastic, definitely recommend the dynamite roll and hawaiian roll! Hawkeye burger was great and the wife loved the lobster roll that she order. Our waiter Nico was phenomenal! Overall this is a great place with friendly staff! Can't wait to go back

Music at bar was a little difficult to tell what was being played. Seemed to close the restaurant a bit early but understood. NY Strip with mashed potatoes and cooked mixed veggies was awesome. Great service by Brooke. "She crab soup" with "gooey cheese and lobster sandwich" was amazing! Not a long wait

Never disappoints. Fresh seafood and great food all around. I had the linguine with clams and it was amazing. Serves with a side of toasted garlic bread.
