Great American Lobster Roll Co

First off - as soon as you walk into Great American Lobster Roll it smells AMAZING - my mouth was watering while I waited for my order. The food was absolutely delicious - had the Connecticut and Hawaii rolls with lobster tots. The service was also great - very friendly workers behind the counter! Already can't wait to stop again in September and try a few more rolls off their menu - so many to choose from!

One of the best lobster rolls I’ve ever had. Dave did not disappoint, and was so nice and fun to talk to. Had no complaints about the lobster roll, all around amazing in every way. Drove over an hour for lobster rolls and will definitely be back!

We got Connecticut lobsters roll and they were amazing - the bread, the butter. A brioche roll, exactly what you want, warm too and lightly toasted. So good. And bonus, they came with 3 sides each. For this price I wasn’t expecting something so amazing!! So good!!

Delicious and full of lobster. Meal comes with corn, cole slaw and tater tots. We ordered the Connecticut lobster roll which was tossed in hot butter. Each lobster roll had large chunks of lobster. So delicios

Absolutely amazing food! There isn’t anything on the menu not worth eating. The rolls are perfectly buttered and toasted and seafood is perfect! Even the sides are to die for! A must stop at to grab something!

The Lobster Tots rule🤘🏼🤘🏼 We also really enjoyed the Massachusetts, Texas, Connecticut and the Jersey Joe! Lots of lobster! Can’t wait to go back!!!

Really great experience from the start. The owner was fantastic - he was so amazing with our 3-year old son and offered him some lobster meat to try in addition to the mac & cheese he ordered (which was delicious). The food was really tasty and some interesting options for the rolls. The rolls had a generous amount of lobster for the price. Overall we were super happy with our lunch.

Every year we rent a big house with a lot of people and I was looking for some new and easy dinner ideas. I reached out to the great American lobster roll, they took my idea of a big family style lobster roll dinner and ran with it. Dave and Kathi were both wonderful to work with and pulled this together with a days notice. We ordered the Maine lobster rolls, clam strips, and of course plenty of the tater tots, corn and coleslaw. The food was all fresh and delicious and the customer service was excellent, which speaks volumes about this place. This will now be a staple dinner one night in our big house. Thanks again for the great experience!

Luscious lobster rolls at the Great American Lobster Co in lovely Long Beach Island. My daughter and I are Maine Lobster roll aficionados and this place didn't disappoint. Not many places offer hot lobster rolls and they serve them with large chunks. The lobster here was perfectly diced and flavored and so fresh. They have variations on the hot lobster roll but I'm a purist at heart. This place is in my top if not top spot for lobster rolls. Enjoy!

First off it must be made clear that quality and taste are above expectations. We ordered a Connecticut roll and 2 Maine rolls. The accompaniments ( tots, Cole slaw[creamy, not vinegary] and street corn[a little bit spicy]) complimented the sweetness of the very fresh lobster, overflowing from a buttery, toasted split "New England " roll. Service was prompt and we eagerly consumed our bountiful "box" as a late lunch/early dinner at street-side table. Totally worth the cost and will DEFINITELY come again. My only constructive criticism would be to provide more al fresco dining on-site so the huge line of aficionados would not interfere with those stay to enjoy the amazing food.

Awesome lobster roll, one of the best I have ever had! The fact that it comes with tots, slaw and corn for the price is great in its own right but the fact that it could be so good on top of that is amazing. I had the Maine roll but they have a couple different options and the lobster tots are out of bounds. Take out only but there are a couple of picnic tables outside if you can grab one

Best lobster roll I have ever had. I highly recommend to anyone visiting LBI. Lobster was very fresh and they were not cheap on the rolls. Rolls were nice and full, very delicious. Can’t wait to come back next time I’m in town. Big thanks to David and staff.

This food is amazing! So many options to choose from. This is the best lobster roll I have had and I’ve tried quite a few. The portion of lobster is very generous. Come try it for yourself. You won’t be disappointed

Surprised. Best lobster roll in Jersey. $18 for a roll, and +$4 to make it colossal. They're not stingy with their serving. And unlike some other places that only serve you claw meat, this place mixes in knuckle AND tail meat too. The whole thing. Definitely worth a detour to eat here.
Don't bother going anywhere else on the beach if lobster roll is your jam. Can't say enough good things.

My family and I had the Connecticut and Florida lobster rolls. They were fantastically delicious! Run don't walk for the best lobster rolls on the Island!! Hey Dave you are my old & new best friend Cheers......

Wow!!! We’re locals and can’t stop raving about this place.
Family run business with generous portions. Owner is on premises to make sure everything is top notch. The lobster mac & cheese was to die for. I had the Jersey lobster roll which was delicious too.

This place is great. Maine lobster rolls full of lobster meat, good slaw and tater tots. The corn side is good too, it has a little spice kick. Decent prices. Overall a good find.

I wish I had a photo of how awesome this lobster roll looked! It was fresh, delicious AND came with tots, street corn and coleslaw. We will definitely be back for great food and great service. Thanks again to Dave and his crew!

Been on LBI since I was 8 years old. GALR Co has been open for two seasons now, I believe, but this was our first time trying it. Do yourself a favor....just go. Dave the owner is fantastic and we had a great conversation while we were eating outside. He even offered to get some lobster for our two pups and brought them a bowl of water. He was impressed with how they sit at the table quietly and eat with us. He said all of us were welcome inside any time....just not in the kitchen. GALR Co is just one of those gems you find and sorry you missed out on from day one. Food is fantastic. My wife and I LOVED the street corn and the Lobster tater tots. The lobster rolls were phenomenal. This is going to be a normal outing for us going forward.

Food was fantastic, quick prep time on a busy Sunday night, great flavor variety without overpowering the lobster! Highly recommend! They also handed a large order very well.
