This was my first time at the lobster House and I absolutely loved it! We went there in the beginning of summer at around 8:00 PM. There was roughly a 30 minute wait. As long as they have a bar, I use a short weight as an opportunity to explore the grounds and grab a beer if I’ve never been there before. I went back and boat with a bar and seating. Amazing opportunity to grab a beer and listen to some live music. A 30 minute wait was actually only 10 minutes, Was a pleasant surprise. Food was delicious, seafood was fresh. I’ll be back Time and Time again.

I mean, cmon it's a Cape May staple! Been here many time to nice sit-down dinner, but today I was here for lunch overlooking the water! Fried scallops and fried shrimp were prefect, crispy, and nit over battered. The ordering system is a little confusing while sitting outside, but always manageable.

Sometimes it is so hard to get into The Lobster House this time of year but we were lucky tonight. The food was excellent and the view on the deck was great. One of my favorites when visiting Cape May and the Clam Bake diner we found reasonable at $32.99, when you compare how much fast food and restaurants have become.

We had a bad experience here 20 years ago and just never returned. So glad we finally returned. Food portions and price were very reasonable. Our waitress made our meal. She was friendly, attentive, and a pure joy!
Food was incredible. All staff friendly...greeted you..and made us feel welcome!! Will definitely be back!!!!

Went to the Lobster House on a cold winter day in March for lunch. It was the best Long Island drink I have had in years. The best homemade bread and whipped butter. I got sautéed scallops with a salad. I couldn’t finish my meal the scallops were so filling. Everything was delicious and the service and view was amazing. The water was beautiful. It felt nice to feel like you were at the beach on a cold winter day. Definitely worth the drive down.

Always have a great time when coming here. Tourist staple in the area and it's no wonder why. Fresh seafood and nice servers. Definitely check what the specials are as they usually have something delicious to offer.

Order up front, eat "out back"! The Lobster House has several dining options, one of which is take out service with optional casual, outdoor seating. Weather permitting, a charming atmosphere with dockside views. Go early during the busy summer months, the tables are plentiful but this spot is very popular with locals andvisitors alike. Pricing is reasonable, the food is fresh and delectable! The dock staff are always friendly and keep the area spotless. For this dining option, use the take out counter next to the Fish Market. When you place your order you can request to pick up your food at the dock counter behind the fish market. The take out has it's own menu and paper menus are available at the counter.

I saw the biggest lobster I've ever seen in my entire life! Great food. Great service! We really appreciate the effort Theo made to make our experience great. We must have had everything in the menu cause we had a big group. But I enjoyed the crab Au Gratin the most. The toast could have been better, but it was meat heavy and had great flavor. Shrimp was fantastic, the garlic bread was fresh and amazing. The wine selection was a little small but there were a couple of decent options. I don't know when we'll be back to Cape May, but when we come we'll definitely return and visit Lobster House again,

The Lobster House has always been a classic place with an old-fashioned nautical theme and beautiful sea views as it sits right on the water. Waitresses are also dressed in a nautical theme with white skirts and a nautical top (although it must be tough wearing white in this role). The atmosphere is a classic shore vibe. It is kid-friendly, with a separate kids' menu. The food is still very good - and one of the only places that still provides a salad with dressing of choice and homemade "everything-topped" bread - just like the bagel - which is delicious. Specials are not too pricey, and cocktails are about $8 - less than most. We have been coming for years and will be back!

Absolutely wonderful!! We went on a very busy Saturday night in the summer, and the wait was only 30 minutes. It was more than worth the wait!! The food was delicious! I highly recommend the lobster bisque, shrimp cocktail, and the steamed lobster. It's well worth the price, you get a lot of food! We all had take-home containers. The service was fantastic! We will definitely be back!

It was great. The only one that was friendly was our own waitress. The butter was hard as a brick as was the crust on the bread. But the food was super! Snobby people...customers included!

My favorite place to stop at out of town before the drive back up north. I took my fiancée who has never been to Cape May and grew up in a shore town with fresh seafood, and even she thought this place was fantastic. Got the lobster salad sandwich which was awesome, the calamari (my personal staple here), onion rings which were amazing, and a clam chowder that was rich and flavorful. Also, getting food and sitting outside on the water has a certain fun ambience about it. If you don’t check this place out during your stay or on the way out, you missed out.

Brought my grandma here. She hadn't been here over 15 years so I was a little worried she would be disappointed. But she enjoyed it thoroughly. The food was great , the service was excellent. It was a person named Rocco and even though he was very busy he he definitely made us feel like we were top priority. I'm sure he does everyone he interacts with. Some people got the vibe and some people very do not. The atmosphere was nice but for people that are visually challenged, the entrance and the bar you have to walk through to get to the dining area were extra dark. Additionally the bathroom attendant aspect seemed outdated and awkward. I hope those folks are paid handsomely and tipped well.

We always stop here as our first stop in Cape May! We usually order from the Takeout & Raw Bar: fried seafood combo, chicken sandwich, fried flounder, and always the crab soup.

The Lobster House, Cape May NJ was a very good restaurant experience. At 5:00 p.m. we easily got a table and were seated. The website clearly says that there are no reservations. The crusty bread which came to our table was filled with spices on top and the bread was a very nice texture of crispy and dense. I had calamari appetizer and it was very tender. My partner had snapper soup and liked it very much. My partner had the crab imperial dinner and enjoyed it. I had the special of the evening which was a stuffed salmon with side vegetables and a salad. I enjoyed my dinner because the salmon was cooked to perfection. Wait staff was attentive. View of harbor was nice too. When I'm in the area again I'll definitely revisit the Lobster House.

We were down in Wildwoods for a birthday. A friend recommended this place, I also read the great reviews here on Google, decided to give it a try. No reservations are allowed. We were lucky that we didn’t have to wait, it was close to 9pm on a Friday. It is a very big restaurant with several dining rooms, there is a second floor too. I was happy that we were seated by the window with the water views. The table seemed a bit small, but it’s ok. We ordered the Lobster medley over pasta, Flounder, clam chowder. The entrees came with some side dishes. Also got the fried calamari for appetizers. Food was just excellent. Seafood was very fresh. We stayed till everyone was gone, and we even finished the bread for the table. The restaurant itself is very comfortable and big. Will definitely come back again.
