Teddy's Diner

Had a lovely lunch @ Teddy’s Diner today. I had the grilled chicken salad. There was definitely enough to have a full serving again later. Service was great! Waitress was attentive and the owner made sure to check in and ask if everything was up to par.

This is my first time at Teddy’s. I had been here under the former owner and it is a monumental step up. I will absolutely be back!

I’ve eaten here the past few Friday’s and been extremely pleased with the Captains Choice Broiled Seafood Combination Platter. I ordered it tonight and the portions were practically half of what they had been. When I questioned this my server said that it had everything that it previously had the past two weeks. I was extremely disappointed by this.

I just finished my complimentary meal and I want to thank Teddy’s for making things right. This is what good organizations do! Kudos and 5 Stars!

We have gone to Teddy’s for dinner several times, their prices are great, their service is top notch and their food is scrumptious. Their portions are huge, enough to take half of the serving home for dinner next day! Because they moved into a dinner that was horrible, they should not have to be compared to the past 2 diners that were there before! GIVE THEM THE CREDIT & RECOGNITION THEY DESERVE!!

Updated review - We have lived in the area for approximately 20 years and have watched this diner go through various incarnations as the Dolphin, the Continental, 5 Star and who knows what else. Sadly, it just seemed to get worse and worse as time went on. Living in NJ (the diner capitol of the world) gives us too many options and so we did not return until this summer.

In the middle of the pandemic lockdown, Teddy's Diner opened at this site and so we decided to once again try this local spot. We were very pleasantly surprised from our first visit. Since that time, we have visited probably once per week and sampled from the breakfast, lunch and dinner menu. The portions are almost too large, food is freshly prepared (I love when a french fry comes to the table too hot to eat) and flavorful. The menu is not as huge as some in the area but they certainly cover all of the classic diner favorites!

While the serving staff has changed over time, the owners are genuinely concerned about customer service and every change seems to have been an improvement - not an easy feat during our dining lockdowns this year!

If you visited this diner when it was the Continental, the Dolphin, or 5-Star, you owe to yourself to give this new group a chance. You will be pleasantly surprised.

Good old-fashioned Jersey diner!

Had lunch here. Ordered the chop steak, it was huge. When the waitress brought it out, I said I would need a take out container because I knew I wouldn't be able to finish it there. She brought the container right over, so I cut the chop steak in half, put half in the container, along with half of the veggies and still had plenty to fill me up. Very friendly staff. The ratings from the previous diner should not be connected with Teddy's Diner. There are no connections between the old and new.

Since it opened as Teddy's have been here 2 times so far, many more times ahead. The food is great, service is excellent. Opened during the pandemic and thankful they have outside seating since that is all the governor allows right now. Nice to be able to go out and not sit home with take out only. Breakfast for my kids and I one morning consisted of : 4 large chocolate chip pacakes, omelette loaded with mushrooms, pork roll and spinach, home fries browned to perfection. Daughter saw the waffle with fresh fruit and wants that next. Dinner one night was hot turkey sandwich with mashed potatoes and cranberry sauce and string beans, salad and rice pudding dessert. Definitely returning

With Covid-19 and my personal health issues I will not eat there, but we have done take-out several times. The portions were huge, the food was ready when they said it would be for pick-up and it was still hot when we got home with it to eat. The meals we have gotten there were delicious. I will leave a review for you.

We used to come here all the time when this place was called The Dolphin Diner. It closed and reopened a few times, but the food and service were never the same.
Not so now. Great menu, the food is well prepared, and the service is outstanding. Our waitress Laura was a sweetheart, gave us incredible service with a smile.
The family tried different things. My son had the crab cakes, my fiancee had an omelette, her daughter a hamburger, and I had the chicken Diana. All outstanding!
We're sure to be back.....and glad this place is re opened.

We have eaten at Teddy's three times and each time it was fantastic. When the food arrives everybody says wow look at the size of the portions. Our waitress spoiled us with great service and we gave her a big tip.

The food and portions are great. But the service leaves something to be desired.it seems as if there's more than four tables seated it takes forever for your food to come out of the kitchen and sometimes for the waitress to come back like they forget you're there

I found this eatery after driving past it and a google/Facebook lookup. Great prices, very upscale place it feels like a 5 star restaurant instead of a diner. My corned beef hash and eggs breakfast was done in record time, hot and tasty. Coffee was excellent, I could've drank a pot of it lol. My server and the host were top notch, a really nice experience. I shall return, and you should visit!

Met a lovely Lady by the name of Kathy, said she just started working there. I'm from Philadelphia but went on a little drive/adventure to NJ & stumbled upon Teddy's. Great Food, Atmosphere & Prices!

Food was tasty and there was a LOT of it. I had the mushroom, swiss cheese, onion and bacon omelette with fried potatoes. Enough for 2 meals for a big eater... I have enough for 3. We'r were the only diners at 8am which is a shame. Prices were very reasonable with what you get. Brother-in-law got 4 pancakes, 2 eggs over easy and scapple which is why we went to Teddy's... he hasn't had scapple in many years. Sister also got the same omelett as I did with wheat toast. While I don't drink coffee, the others said it was very good. Try Teddy's! Teddy was in the dining area and a very sociable gentleman! Our waitress was Lisa and she did a great job, making us fresh coffee and being sure we had what we needed!

The best food around.

Food was great. The waitress seem to lack experience . She was nice. Forgetful.
Price reasonable for quality and portions. Good variety.

Didn't think they were open but went to their door went in ordered prime rib was so good mashed potatoes were home made n the carrots were cooked just the way I like them.desert was rice pudding home made every thing was yummy soup came with my meal she gave me a little sample not salty at all i took that home for my lunch an took home meat for my fur babies yes they loved it too. Great place to go for your meal open till 1am

Excellent food and service. Specials come with soup, salad and dessert for dinner. Place is rarely crowded BUT SHOULD BE I've eaten here five times and great experience every time

Everything was good. Robin, our waitress, was awesome. It was really great to meet her. Thank you Robin for being super sweet and spending some time with us.

We are quite pleased with all the meals we have purchased from Teddy’s Diner. We order takeout once a week and everything is fresh and orders are always ready when we arrive.

French Toast Was crazy good, going back again today! 10/10 nothing like the old Diners that used to be here. PLEASE DO NOT THINK it's anything like those Diners this is a incredible place now with incredible service.
