FOO BAO Asian Sliders

Three buns ordered Duck, Pork Belly and Short Rib. All were very flavor full and tender and the buns were soft. Topped with pickled vegetables (carrot & daikon radish), scallion, and crispy garlic. The guava drink was very good as well.

Expect your boardwalk prices here, give or take 20$ for three depending on what combinations you get. Definitely better alternative from your standard fare in the area. Looking forward to returning again.

Super good! Everything was fresh and delicious with gluten free options. Prices were reasonable as well. I ordered the yellow curry tofu and vegetables and the basil limeade. It was so good! I’m coming back here for sure.

Fantastic fresh, tasty, healthy, asian street food steps from the beach in Cape May. A great change from traditional heavy beach food usually found on the boardwalk. So good! A great value. You will love it. The short ribs are amazing.

Foo Bao is a welcome addition to the Cape May! We were in need of good, authentic Asian cuisine. The owners, Lou and Amy, do a fabulous job in serving quality Asian Street food - amazing light and fluffy buns filled with your choice of duck, lobster, pulled pork and other choices of deliciousness! The rice bowls were amazing as well. They’re still working out the kinks in service since Foo Bao is a new restaurant. It’s a must try especially if you’re looking for quality and authentic Asian cuisine served by Chef Lou and steps away from the beach!

Tasty Asian fusion food with nice indoor restaurant seating. I ordered the blackbean salmon which tasted fresh and perfectly cooked rice! Great place for lunch or dinner that is different from what other Cape May eateries has to offer!

The food here is amazing! We stopped in to try some sliders and rice bowel and was very impressed with the quality and taste of the food! They also had papaya salad which tasted amazing! The basil lemonade and thai ice tea are also must haves! They were super refreshing and not overly sweet as other places. We ordered the Lobster, pull pork, and pork belly bao and the curry rice bowl. They were all superb. The interior decor is super cute, and the outdoor seating area was perfect if you like to get some beach sun while eating. We highly recommended this place!

The restaurant was really nice !! I got a pulled pork bowl with white rice , and it was so so so good. I also got lychee soda and coconut rice pudding with mango and they were good , but definitely an acquired taste LMAOO. I was with some people there and they also said everything was really good. It was all clean and it was so nice in there, I usually get super overwhelmed im restaurants but it wasn't bad. And by bad I mean i didnt get overwhelmed at all.

What an amazing addition to the Cape May food scene! We stopped in for a snack and ending up going back to order more. We tried the chicken, pork belly and short rib and each one was delicious! Definitely some of the best bao we've ever had. Chicken had a great char flavor, pork belly was nice and crispy, and the short rib was juicy and well seasoned. The first sip of the basil limeade packed quite a punch as well!

We came back for dinner and we definitely were happy we did. My only minor issue was that the chunks on the pork belly bowl were so big, I needed two forks to break them up into more bite-sized pieces. Staff was extremely attentive and friendly.

Everything was outstanding! The Thai inspired restaurant, and interior design goes above and beyond.
The staff are friendly and helpful with guiding you with your order. The fresh ingredients and deliciously balanced bao and rice bowls make you want to keep coming back. Particularly the pork belly bao ( you can’t eat just one!) and coconut rice pudding topped with mango favorites!!!

Really great food. Tried a wide range of sliders, all excellent, especially the duck, lobster, and short rib! Thai iced tea and papaya salad were also a hit. The owner was really kind and personable and checked with us to see how we enjoyed our lunch, and brought a couple extra bao out for our hungry toddler. Great location right off the beach and friendly service, really positive experience all around. Will be back soon.

FANTASTIC!!! A great new edition to Cape May! The buns and bowls are delicious-it’s hard to pick a favorite! Go out and support this new business, they’re doing things right! HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

Love Foo Bao!!! I had the Pineapple Chile Aioili Shrimp Bowl & Basil Limeade. My husband had thr Sesame Chile Chicken & Guava Cooler. Everything was delicious. The place has a super cool / chill vibe. The staff was friendly & attentive. Would definitely recommend. Cant wait to come back & try some of the other dishes.

Great little spot. We got 2 orders of their buns (short rib and pork belly) and a duck rice bowl. Everything was fantastic.

The head chef came out of the back to check in with everyone inside to see how everything was going and provided our table with a free papaya salad and a mango rice desert. Both were amazing.

If you are in Cape May, it's a must visit.

My wife and I were looking for a quick bite to eat and Foo Bao was recommended. What a great place. Knowledgeable staff for questions. The place was so clean and welcoming. The food was out of this world. The sweet and sour duck was amazing. Will definitely be back.

That was a nice, cozy little place to sit down for a quick bite before hitting the towel at night, or before hitting the beach! I ordered three bao buns to share & some coconut water to quench my thirst. The bao buns were amazing! Packed with great flavors & just enough for a quick snack. We got shrimp 🦐, chicken 🐓 & salmon 🍣 buns, highly recommend! The coconut water was artificial and had coconut pieces at the bottom, which were nice, but it wasn’t real(I drink a lot of coconut water). Overall I would absolutely go back and would give it 100 out of 10!

This was my first time experiencing Asian sliders and they were fantastic. Tons of great flavors and very fresh. We got the shrimp, lobster, pulled pork and short ribs and each one was so wonderful. Highly recommend.

The place is super great, cozy, and delicious. We just had to come twice because it was so good. The only problem we had were the hours that it was open.

Thurs. 9/28/23 Very unique and delicious little sliders. My wife had a short rib and I a curry vegetable one. So flavorfull. When the owner comes to your table to ask how it was you know he's taking pride in his cooking. We'll be back .

My boyfriend has been dying to try bao buns however, me being a picky eater was very skeptical. I cannot say enough about this place…food, service and atmosphere was incredible. We tried the cucumber salad, BBQ pulled pork, the sweet and sour duck, the pineapple chili aioli shrimp, and the braised pork belly. All was so delicious and flavorful. I will definitely be going back for more and recommend anyone thinking about it to give it a try!

We are so excited for this delicious little spot to be so close to us. We popped in on a whim this evening to see what the menu was about and ended up with a selection of Bao that were all equality delicious, the lobster and the duck were particularly noteworthy. The suprise star was the side of cucumber salad! We'll surely be back soon. Thank you Seamus, Olivier and Chef Lou, we enjoyed meeting and chatting with you guys just as much we enjoyed the food!
