We gather once a month for a bday 🎂 and you get to pick where you want to go, plus everyone splits the tab except you (after all it is your bday).
Tina picked Kunkle's, everyone enjoyed what they had. Our server Jenny was spot on with her ability to deal with so many people and personalities, she's quite awesome with keeping a conversation during her work too! My wife Melanie had a stuffed pork chop and mine was Chicken Marsala, carrots, green beans. Food was delicious and be mindful to leave room for dessert OMG cheesecake we split but between us couldn't finish it. Next time we'll know because I'm thinking about going back as I'm typing 😜

What a delicious surprise! The restaurant is family run, and they make sure everything is top-notch. The food is good! Some of their specials and appetizers and the frozen cheesecake dessert are so unique and delicious. They have a selection of fresh oysters that those at the table ate them were blown away. So fresh and so good. The kunkel spicy shrimp was delicious. As it's described on the menu is exactly how it tastes. Not too hot when you eat it but that lingering heat just grows. And not in a bad way. The steaks were all done to perfection, the fra Diablo sauce on the pasta was delicious, the table was silent when the food was delivered because everyone was eating lol. The desserts were all delicious as well, especially their frozen cheesecake ice cream dessert. They had numerous flavors of cheesecake and it's like they put it in an ice cream machine and serve it to you. So velvety smooth and delicious. Make sure you save room after dinner. And the top it off the service was outstanding. And the top that off, it's BYOB!

I’ve been to lots of restaurants and this is by far the best in the area. It’s always been a favorite of my parents, and my husband and I tried it recently and were amazed. The steaks are incredible-amazing quality of meat. Appetizers are delicious-especially the stuffed mushrooms. Their variety of sauces across all the menu items are flavorful and delicious. And don’t forget dessert!! Their signature cheesecake freeze (an ice cream/cheesecake blend) is out of this world. Carol and John really nailed it and I’m happy to support a family owned restaurant.

Went here based on reviews, and it held true. One of the best NY strips I've had and the homemade cheesecake was amazing. Great neighborhood gem that you must try. When I'm back in town, I'm definitely coming back.

We dined here on Tuesday night and had a fabulous meal. Our setver Tat was wonderful, she shared the menu and specials and after our meal dessert. Everything was fresh and made to order and you couldn't ask for better. I would recommend Kunkels to everyone.

Went for an early Valentine's Day dinner. Very nice place, good food and the service was excellent. The hostess checked on us the whole time and even asked if we'd like the fireplace on as it's cold as a witch's nip outside. The soft freeze dessert pictured is DELICIOUS!!! I got the lemon and blueberry but look forward to trying the chocolate and strawberry. I must say my favorite thing was the stuffed portobello mushroom.

Late lunch at Kunkel’s was a real treat. The hamburger which came highly recommended was delicious as was the Caesar salad. Shout out to Paul who took care of our table. Great food, excellent service and awesome atmosphere are reasons to visit Kunkel’s another reason to visit Kunkel’s is for their home made desserts. Yum!

The burgers are amazing! Bread pudding is what dreams are made of. Wonderful upscale atmosphere without the crazy upscale price.

My husband and I wanted to have a small dinner with our family for our wedding. We went to Kunkles and WOW! Carol blew it out of the park…. She took our idea from a small dinner to a beautiful wedding. We had our ceremony there and the most beautiful wedding I could have ever dreamed of. From the moment I met Carol I felt like my mom was planning my wedding for me. She was so sweet and kind. She treated me like her own daughter. Never once did she make me feel like an inconvenience, she worked with me every step of the way. Denese, Jenny, Ree and the rest of the Kunkle’s staff…. I can not thank you enough for everything you did to make our day so amazing. I did not have a wedding party but these girls made my feel like they were my best friends and bridesmaids by giving me suggestions, setting up the restaurant, replenishing my drink, and making sure everything was on time and PERFECT. Everyone who attended the wedding was talking about how lovely the staff was and the FOOD!!!! Oh my goodness the food!!! It was out of this world. Words can not express the gratitude I have for the people who work at kunkles. They made my day so memorable…. I can not thank you enough for everything you did for us.

Went to Kunkels for our 25th anniversary and had an exceptional experience. Our server, Tatiana, was attentive and answered all of our questions. The meal was paced nicely and the Filet was cooked to my husband’s satisfaction at rare and my pork chop beside from being huge was super tender and the sauce was delicious.

We went here for dinner today and everything was perfect! Everything we ordered was delicious, even down to the vegetables which I usually never eat. We shared the Carolina Mustard BBQ shrimp appetizer. I had filet mignon au poivre with mashed potatoes and my husband had the rib eye with au jus and mushrooms. The steaks were a good size compared to what we've had at other steakhouses. Everything was cooked perfectly. The service from our waitress Denese was great and when I ordered the lemon flavored "cheesecake freeze", she even brought out a small portion of the chocolate flavor as well because it's their newest flavor. The cheesecake freeze is absolutely delicious and a must try. We can't wait to come back again and would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a good place to eat!

What they do with Steak is art. What you might not know about is their steakhouse burger with ground 1855 Black Angus Beef, a highly marbolized beef prized in the steak community similarily to wagyu. The burger, cooked medium, was tender and packed with rich umami flavor. The fried onions, steak sauce, and bacon complimented the burger perfectly. The steak sauce was not overly sweet and added a tangy flavor. It is a BYOB, so keep that in mind if wanting a drink. If you're thinking of treating yourself to a dessert, the cheesecake freeze are delicious. We had the banana foster. It's frozen cheesecake filling mixed with possibly a banana puree and caramelized sugar. Absolutely delicious.

Always enjoy a meal at Kunkles. From appetizers to dessert, all home made. Always the best steak! Carol and each of the staff always friendly and helpful. Overall a great experience! Highly recommended 😋

Excellent all around. Grilled oysters and steak ravioli to start, Seafood pasta and beef bordelaise for the main courses. This place is a hidden gem.

We had a delicious brunch today. We ate chicken and waffles, grilled steak Benedict, and cinnamon bun. Highly recommend this place.

From the moment we were seated, to the end of our meal, our experience was absolutely PERFECT. We each enjoyed our meals, immensely. OMG!!! Hands down, freshest best grilled butter oysters I've ever tasted (so good, I ordered seconds). The shrimp, steak, crabcakes and clams were also a hit. Every single item was cooked to perfection. Desert. Can we just talk about their DESERTS. Pound cake, cheesecake freeze, all made in house... #INCREDIBLE. Food was served in a timely manner, by our server, Denise, who, might I add was extremely kind, knowledgeable and super attentive. The owner, Carol, my new bestie, checked in on us several times throughout our meal for feedback. This is truly a hidden Jersey gem.

Great experience for my bridal shower. They were accommodating and so friendly. Food was great!
