On 2/23, I celebrated my 30th birthday at the chef's table at Hearthside and will never forget it. From the first course to the last, every bite was incredible. The meal was only elevated by the quality of service. Our server was so attentive and talked through each menu item with such patience. It truly was my favorite meal ever and I am eager to go back!

Had an incredible dinner at Hearthside in Collingswood last night!

First off, the service was phenomenal. The staff is super attentive, everyone knows the menu inside and out, and they are just plain delightful.

They've got an "early spring menu" going on at the moment. We started with the tuna sashimi with pistachio butter and sun-dried tomato (pictured). OMG, Seriously, I could eat this dish every single day. We also shared the pork belly with broccoli rabe, white beans, and long hot pepper (pictured). So much savory goodness in one plate!

For the pasta course, we went with the bucatini with poblano, garlic, and hazelnut. Divine! And the spaghetti with jumbo lump crab, tarragon, and cherry peppers. Just a heads up, the cherry peppers pack a punch! I thought they were a bit much and over powered any crab flavor; but still delicious.

The main course, we asked for the 40oz dry-aged porterhouse with salsa verde and frites. It was cooked to an absolute heavenly perfect medium rare, with the kind of crusty sear that would make unicorns cry tears of envy; it was a masterpiece of flavor and tenderness.

Finally, we somehow managed to stuff in dessert - the budino with chocolate, hazelnut brittle, and vanilla cream. Rich, decadent, and the perfect ending to a truly fantastic meal!

Even though I was bursting by the end, it was SO worth it! Hearthside absolutely delivered on flavor, service, and overall experience. Highly recommend checking them out!

I loved our dinner here. The restaurant was cozy & the waiters are very professional. Our table was set with new plates & silverware for each course & swept in between. It was suggested we could do family style for both of us bc we wanted to taste each other's choices & it worked great. I ordered the artichoke & even my husband said it was the best thing ever, I regret sharing it bc I wanted more 😄 The fish was my least favorite, I wish I had ordered the chicken, but I reheated for lunch the next day. The table next to us had the chicken & it looked so good, our waiter had said it was his favorite. The portion sizes were generous & plated beautifully. We had been meaning to come here for a while & glad we did. We'll be back again!

This is an amazing dinner place. My fiance and I have gone multiple times and the food each time is really good. Sitting at the counter is a great spot because you get to see the food cooking and it's entertaining. I like how it's BYOB and I feel that the prices are reasonable for the quality and service that you are getting. I appreciate how attentive the staff is. It's also good that they give you fresh utensils before each dish comes out. They give you utensils that work with your meal. I would recommend this place.

Had dinner here last night for a very good friends birthday. This place was amazing and I can’t wait to go back! We had the prix fixe menu, for a party of 9, there was more than enough food for everyone and we had to take some home. Every dish was very good, although below are definitely my favorites for the night.

Octopus - exquisitely tender and succulent, yields effortlessly to the fork, revealing the artistry of its preparation. Its delicate, caramelized exterior boasts a mesmerizing golden hue, a testament to the masterful searing technique employed. The faint aroma of the sea embraces the senses, a gentle reminder of its origin and the authenticity of the dish.

Pork belly with bok choy (my favorite for the night) - practically melts in the mouth, revealing layers of rich, unctuous goodness. The bok choy, a brilliant choice of accompaniment, brings balance to the dish with its crisp texture and refreshing taste. Cooked to perfection, it retains its vibrant green color and offers a delightful contrast to the richness of the pork belly.

Seared scallops - glistening with a delicate caramelized crust, are a sight to behold. Each plump morsel showcases the artistry in achieving the ideal sear, a balance of high heat and perfect timing that locks in the scallop's natural sweetness.

The fried green tomatoes with crab - showcase of culinary creativity. With a crisp golden crust that offers a satisfying crunch, they embrace the tangy yet slightly sweet flavor of the unripe tomatoes. Each bite is a delightful contrast of textures, with the tender interior offering a burst of freshness and juiciness.

And then, there's the pièce de résistance - the crown of succulent crab meat adorning the tomatoes. The luxurious sweetness of the crab effortlessly marries with the tomatoes' tanginess, creating a harmonious and decadent pairing that delights the palate.

I am reliving my experience as I am writing this review and is making me hungry all over again. Definitely a keeper and we will be back. LOVE IT!!!

This place is absolutely fantastic! Dominic and his entire crew could not be more accommodating, and its a pleasure to watch them perfect all thease amazing meals. If you can get reservations, take it! Don't miss out on something truly special and amazing. Also, notice how Dominic and his team are jumping in the photo? (Photo bomb) Love it. They make the experience worth it.. Oh, and by the way, prix fixe is the way to go. The dollar for dollar this place is hands down one of the best places to go.

Thank you for an amazing experience..

I recently came back to Hearthside after a few years and everything was still top notch. I was concerned regarding the pre-fixe menu, but everything was great including the octopus carpaccio, scallops etc. The service was unmatched, food was great, and atmosphere in awesome.

Came here for a special date night with my girlfriend. Pre fixe menu was filled with a lot I haven't tried before, but I have an open mind and trusted a high-end restaurant to make it great.

I'm not going to go into everything, but I attached the menu for the readers. We added on the ceviche and peach cobbler.

Stars were the short rib, which was super tender, with a perfect balance of savory, salty, charred, and sweet. I specifically loved the more charred bites towards the ends of the meat. The ora king salmon is salmon with charred pineapple and my gosh it was a wonderful pairing. It inspired a salmon and pineapple heavy poke bowl I got the next day. The peach cobbler had salty biscuits that added a nice crunch with the peaches that were caramelizing at the edges that was accompanied by a sweet and unique "sourdough" ice cream - if I heard that right.

I also loved the snapper and wood-fired eggplant. My gosh.

Everything was great. With the ceviche and peach cobbler addons for the night, it was $287 for the two of us before tip. Not something I could swing monthly, but once in a while 100%. I will be back, maybe next bonus paycheck!

Such a cute spot with delicious food! Ambiance was nice, loved the vibe. Everything we ordered was shared family style. The tagliatelle w/ braised duck was so flavorful and everyone’s favorite. Mussels w/ coconut curry was different but very good. Focaccia was grilled nicely. The hostess was friendly and our waiter was superb. He was attentive, knowledgeable and really paced our meal well. The only thing we didn’t really like was the peach cobbler. Not much peach flavor and brie didn’t do anything for the dish. Overall we think our dining experience was excellent! We will be back.

Collingswood has a lot of great shops and eateries, but Hearthside is the kind of place where you create a memory. Every component of every dish is so beautiful, so balanced, and just *so* good. There's no smoke and mirrors, just the food is immaculate and very much a celebration of seasonality and service. I couldn't get over just how incredible everything tasted even in the smallest detail like the perfect texture of the homemade ricotta or the perfect amount of heat from a sliver of jalapeño on the crudo, or the balance of anise seeds in the granola on the budino.
That squash blossom on sungold puree.... my God. They had this special with rock shrimp and a tomato sauce that actually made me emotional because it was so perfect... and also I'm Italian. The servers were so efficient in clearing in between courses and filling glasses. They even swipe the crumbs off the table. All in all, to go to Hearthside for dinner is an exercise in what Italians call "la dolce vita". You get to celebrate seasonal produce, drink a glass of wine, and soak in the candlelight and casual strolling pedestrians. It was such a special experience that I asked to keep the paper menu to remember how joyful it made me feel to be there. Also, look at these pictures... it's ridiculous how beautiful they executed this food

We love to go out to dinner , love fine dining and this restaurant was amazing.!! River our server was great, every part of the experience was top notch. The sashimi was as if you were in a 5 star Japanese restaurant, the artichoke appetizer was to die for. The steak was also like being in a top steakhouse. The chef did a great job with the different food choices. Highly recommend for a nice date night or outing with friends: Compares to a 5 star restaurant in NY Paris and Dubai. Hidden gem in Collingswood…

Wow oh wow! Fantastic place for special occasions. It’s one of those restaurants where the food is an art form. They have an open kitchen where you can watch them make your food. For an appetizer, we had the wagyu beef which was amazing. For the next course, we had a stuffed pasta. Their pasta is homemade, but it was a little stiff for my liking. I also wish we had more. The portion felt smaller than our appetizer. Our main courses were scallops and the trout. The scallops were buttery and delicious. Finally we finished with the gelato which tasted more like ice cream, but was still yummy. This is not a place for people with large appetites. The portions are small. My fiancé was slightly disappointed in the size and left a tad hungry. I personally did not mind, but definitely be prepared to order more than just a main course.

Service was amazing. Our table was cleaned after every course and they brought fresh silverware. Servers were highly knowledgeable about the menu. It felt like a real treat dining out and we will definitely be coming back.

This place was amazing! Hands down, the best place we have eaten. The pork belly was absolutely amazing, rich and crispy on the outside, moist and flavorful on the inside. The bread was also out of this world, very well worth ordering. The environment had a very nice ambiance and is very romantic, but a bit too loud, but probably quiets down when they open the doors for the summer.

Would eat here again. Food was tasty - very flavorful and had some spice. The Pasta course is a star on its own. Open kitchen atmosphere and very attentive staff. We went on a Friday night and was able to easily find parking on the side street.

My girlfriend took me here for my birthday two weeks ago (first timers). We are both in the industry and are both quite the foodies. We we blown away - I mean seriously blown away.
We sat at the chef’s counter/table and we won’t sit anywhere else upon returning. The ambiance and getting to watch the three chefs execute an entire restaurant was an awesome perk. They also interact with you - personally and on a professional level explaining the cooking processes and the history behind their passion.
Quick overview - we had Patrick as our server. He was exceptional. From menu knowledge and explaining dishes to understanding allergy concerns, marking and remarking tables and glassware rotation - I was stunned by the detail.
We ordered ceviche, prawns, potatoes, street corn pasta, seabass and an orange cream panna cot. I would be hesitant to try anything else knowing how good all of our food was. Ticket times were spot on and menu staggering was precise. Kudos to Chef Dominic(exec), Chef Blaze, and the 3rd chef who I didn’t get a chance to meet working sauté/pasta.
The food all 5 stars. We talked about rotating out the potatoes next time. They were very good but the most basic option so we will try something new next time!
This is a must go restaurant. Thank you all for making my birthday a great night and setting the bar for dining in the area. Cheers!

Went here to celebrate Wife's birthday. First time out for a long time. Had an exceptional experience. James was an excellent waiter. He took time to explain the current dishes on the menu and the portions. The food and flavors were excellent! Started with a prawn dish and a roasted romaine dish. The prawns were very tasty . A little on the small side but excellent. The roasted romaine salad was was grilled and crisp with great flavor it was topped with panchetta like bacon, strawberries, smoked cheddar and green goddess dressing. Just enough for two to share. We then had the Salmon main dish and the Coffee rubbed Pork chop.both dishes were done as requested and very flavorable. Lindsey the co-owner came over and checked that everything was going ok and spent a few minutes conversing with us. She was very pleasant. We then shared a vanilla gelato with chocolate chunks and pistachios folded in. Delicious desert! And they added a candle on the side for my wife's birthday! Very thoughtful and above excellence. Overall we had a great experience. Thank you!

Food, ambiance and service was all exceptional. If you are looking for a nice date night spot this is the place! Our waiter Patrick was great and did a great job explaining each dish. I've heard some reviews say it's pricey and I disagree. The food is worth every penny and byob is also great.

It's an easy task to rate this restaurant with 5 stars. Food, ambiance, service and lastly safety precautions during the pandemic - all were top notch, hence 5 stars aren't much of a hassle.

We read and heard about the wagyu beef carpaccio available here so it was our first order and what can I say! The hype was worth every penny. This has to be the standout dish of the restaurant and just when I thought that it can't be topped, the smoked salmon entered the race and gave the beef carpaccio a solid run for the money. Though it may have lost the title of the best dish served by the restaurant to the beef carpaccio by a whisker, I can safely say that that salmon dish is the best salmon prep I have ever had. Amidst the colossal battle between the carpaccio and the salmon, let's not forget the gulf prawns - tasty as usual! In short, taste of the food alone was enough to get a 5 star rating.

Service was top notch. Patrick was genial and helpful and always attentive! Thanks mate.

Replacing the hard copy of the menu with online menu options, providing an envelope to stash our masks while eating, providing properly sanitized cutleries (steamed) - we couldn't have asked for more safety precautions during the pandemic time.
