I needed a key made and was looking for a hardware store around 24th and Snyder Ave. I hit my search and Boom, Ritner Hardware was right around the corner. Even though Google said they were closed, I gave it a shot and called. Surprising, they were open which evidently is not usual on that day. The guy said come right around. While waiting I noticed this dude has everything you could possibly need?! I’d already went two three large chain stores who didn’t have my key in stock. Total waste of time. Anyway, within 5 minutes I had three copies of my key at a great price and was on my way. Now that’s what I call service. Thanks.

I have never gone to Ritner Hardware and not been treated with the utmost professional courtesy, and they seem to have just about everything you need in the back behind the relatively tiny store. I've needed things from Lowes and Home Depot and have on occasion gotten the impression that the person I asked for assistance considered me a nuisance. That has never been the case here. Always super nice and helpful.

Ritner Hardware is the best. My Dad and father-in-law have gone here for many years. This is a well established family run business. Tony has almost anything you need here. Tony and his son Anthony are the nicest people ever.

Great Place. Way more personal and helpful than Home Depot. Called and they knew what I needed, came in and was out with my purchase in 4 minutes. Fixed the problem in 10 minutes with their directions.

Excellent old-school neighborhood hardware store.
A considerably large selection of items behind the counter too, and no-nonsense feel compliment the knowledgeable and friendly people who run the place (seems like its a family owned/operated jawn).
No shortage of character. Extra points for all the little idiosyncrasies like the sizeable array of different stove-top espresso makers they've crammed into such a small shop so efficiently.

Best Hardware store in South Philly. I didn't think I was going to be able to repair one of our apartment windows that was embedded into a frame but low and behold they were able to repair it. Thank you and God bless.

Can't beat this place! This father-son duo knows exactly how to help everyone who walks through the doors. Aside from the unbeatable one on one customer service, they have everything! Unless you're looking for some kind of major appliance, don't bother going to another big hardware store again.

I really like this place. It is your typical O school what we're store. You will find things here that you have a senior years or completely forgot even existed.
