Westside Market

Absolutely a fantastic Place to grab some food before setting out for a day exploring Cape May. The subs at Westside Market were loaded with fresh ingredients and the bread was the best! I wish my local sub shops had bread this good. The service was fantastic and very friendly and the orders were made quickly. We loved the store and stopped in here for sandwiches to take to the beach several days during our visit.

I ordered an entire catering dinner for my parents surprise 50th anniversary that I hosted at my house. We had 13 guests and our family is Italian with a grandmother that was a caterer so delicious food is a must. I ordered precooked trays that all I needed to do was heat in the oven. We had chicken Marsala, penne alla vodka, zucchini, squash, tomato, Board room charcuterie, Shrimp cocktail. Not only was the portion side plenty (we had leftovers), but everything was just as delicious as the next. We will always order from Westside Market! Thank you Chris and team.

Hands down best sandwich shop in Cape May! Great esthetics! Great choices for sandwiches, easy customization for anyone's tastes. Friendly staff. Must do for vacationers and if we were local it would be there frequently.

This place is terrific. I am visiting Cape May and I stopped in first for an amazing egg and cheese sandwich (they make their own sausage), then returned the next day for a delicious, fresh, double-cheese burger. They have a kiosk for ordering hot food and the staff are really nice and helpful. I will definitely return on my next birding trip. Recommended.

Nice place nestled in Cape May, the food is great and the ambiance is cool too, although they only have one table to eat in at. Their food is excellent.

The Castaway Cutlet is my favorite sandwich ever, and my only complaint is that it’s so good I want one every day. They have many other great sandwiches, and every time we’ve ordered, the food has been consistently excellent (and accurate) and the people are friendly and helpful. Order online & pick up, you won’t regret it.

We purchased a tray of hoagies this past weekend for the WCM Christmas Parade. They were fantastic! Loved each an every bite! Delicious!

This market has been elevated by the new owners. There is a wide selection of foods, prepared foods, deserts, breakfast and lunch sandwiches. All ingredients are fresh and of high-quality.!! We always get take out from the market.

We just ordered 3 BLT Sandwiches. The best compliment I can give is when food is far better than expected, and that’s what you get here. This is old school management where you clearly get what you pay for. No shortcuts, good quality food.
Definitely my new “go to.”

Outstanding sandwiches, great customer service and a flood of childhood memories. Old school candy, glass bottle sodas and an old general store look with all the modern amenities PLUS THEY HAVE MY PEACH JOE TEA!

Great sandwich place/deli/market! Their sandwiches are enticing and delicious, their employees are very kind, and the whole place has an awesome atmosphere/decor that honestly makes me want to buy everything! I had the "godfather", a roast pork sandwich on a seeded roll, with broccoli rabe, sharp provolone, and red peppers, and it was delicious. I wanted to try all the sandwiches on the menu, because they all looked very appetizing. I'd highly recommend this place to get some sandwiches.

Thank you for having such a wonderful market! Great food and outstanding service! We spent a week in Cape May and went to the market each day it was open. Often twice a day ! Thank you Chris for your advice and delicious food for the morning of our daughters wedding!

You should stop here to get sandwiches and snacks to bring to the beach - they have fresh fruit, loafs of bread from a bakery, fancy/yummy cheeses, and things like olives and pickles ready to eat!!! The rolls for the sandwiches are awesome and all the meat and cheese is great including the bacon which is BIG perfect slices. There are cookies, candy (adorable old fashion candies in cute glass jars for a few cents) and big fat muffins and pie.

They have a few necessities you'd expect to find at a corner story like laundry detergent, corn starch, and toilet paper

They have touch screens you use to order your breakfast or lunch order! If its tourist season you might have to wait up to 20 minutes - but if you've *ever been anywhere* that is quite a short wait.

I've been going here since I was in elementary school (I remember rehearsing my sandwich order at night because it was sooo scary to ask for mayo AND mustard) And now I only really go for my birthday weekend every year!

Huge shout out to the cashier with blonde hair, perfectly sharp eyeliner, and nose rings - you're one of the only people in west cape may who treat me and my partner with acceptance!!! While our sparse visits mean you might not recognize us: when we see you behind the cashier counter we feel like we're allowed to be at Westside Market.

The best sandwiches! They are massive, too. Whoever thought bringing an Italian roast pork sandwich to the beach would be the best idea ever. They are always busy so order ahead or expect to wait during peak lunch hour.

Delicious food and friendly staff! I would go here every day if I lived closer. The hoagies were exceptional and the staff were exceedingly friendly and kind! Can't wait to visit again!

This was our 1st time staying in West Cape May. Decided to try the Westside Market. The hogies we're out of this world, especially the rolls. Great local atmosphere inside, with a genuine neighborhood feel. We will definitely be back. Keep up the great work ☺

5/22/23 Update - stop by again for lunch on our way home. The Jersey girl rap was delicious as was the potato salad. Glad we could swing by the Westside again.

Amazing sandwiches and employees! It appears that owners recently took aver and have totally outdone themselves. The food was fantastic! We had a Philly, and American, and a Cuban sandwich and all of them were 10/10. The also offer a well curated selection of snacks and takeout foods. I'll be heading here every time I'm in Cape May.

Have to edit my review a year to the day. We just had our sandwiches from westside market for dinner. I had the Olde World Italian, which was good. Meat was fresh and roll was very good. My wife had a turkey hoagie. She had litterally one piece of turkey and a slice of cheese. She stated I had better sandwich from a wawa! I am willing to give the Westside Market another chance....as last year ever one loved their sandwiches. The place was very busy when we were ordering our sandwiches. So maybe that through off the people making sandwiches. So will try again. Overall everyone at the deli is very nice and pleasant.

Wife and I tried Westside Market tonight for a takeout order of variety of sandwiches for family at our house. Very easy to order even for my wife who does not like computer ordering. Folks who run place are extremely friendly, both at register and making sandwiches. Great experience....looking forward to breakfast this week. All around great experience.

Love, Love Love this place!!! The new owners Chris and Kristin did a Great job renovating this market. Such a hometown feel and great deli! They have the best flat bread pizzas a different one each week. We have had one the last several weeks and grilled them. Great easy dinner after the beach! Very dog friendly too. Bailey our dog loves her walks to the market!

Incredible hoagies.Fresh Liscio’s rolls which are one of best hoagie rolls you can get. Get one.
