Sun Retreats Seashore

We have been coming here for 6 years. We absolutely love it, it’s a safe place for kids to wonder around on bike adventures. The lake and clean are always clean and attended to. The store is the largest camp store I have ever seen. The office staff is amazing and take care of veterans. I LOVE that they have a gym. Some sites are small, some large, some more private than others but all offer decent shade and tree coverage, it’s really on you to look at the map and make a good selection. I have noted that over the past couple years, bathroom cleaning has degraded a bit with soap dispensers sometimes empty and some shower drains with the same clump of hair remaining for multiple days. Quiet hours are also lax on weekends. We stayed there for three trips this summer and the only nights we got decent sleep were midweek as the parents party late and the kids party early. With a pop up we hear everything. However, we have many memories there and will continue to return and hope certain improvements are made as we don’t expect perfection and this resort tops others.

We have Been coming here since 2017. We fell in love with this place because of location, staff and the other guest seasonal and non seasonal. The prices were great before he became sun retreats because they no longer take Good Sam or AAA discounts which really stinks. Now we here it may be becoming full seasonal which stinks as well. Guess it’s time to sell the camper. Like Driftwood went full seasonal with no warning and we have been going there also since 2017. Loved both campsites and those were the only two we went to in NJ. Will be sad not to be going camping anymore especially there. We can’t afford to be seasonal nor do we have that kind of time.

What a wonderful vacation. Stayed in a cabin. The housekeeping did a great job so clean.

Everything was perfect! Just like the websites pictures. The pool and lake they had for swimming was the best. The kids loved the mini golf course. They also allow you to rent golf carts, which is also nice. You get to ride around the whole property. Definitely will be back.

One of the BEST campgrounds I've ever stayed at. We didn't want to leave and even extended our stay another night. The campground was excellent and clean. Close to everything we wanted to do. The people who work there are awesome and the people who stay there are awesome. Felt like family from the first moment we got there. Lou at the gate shack and Joanie who checked us in and took us to our site were so wonderful.

This past weekend was our first Rv trip ever. And we stayed there and let me tell you after just pulling on late Friday evening and being greeted so nicely after a long ride there I knew right away we would enjoy this place. We did not have enough charcoal on us and let me say Connie who works there went above and beyond for us. She was an absolute gem. By the time our weekend was over you felt like you knew her forever. She was able to get it for us so we could at least cook out. I would definitely recommend this place to others and also we will be planning a second trip.very clean and so many activities and overall the place was the best!!!!We will be back.!!!!

Well what can I say Even though there's new ownership it's still a fun place to go. Me and my family have been caving there roughly for the last 6 years and can't say that we've ever had any issue or problem with anything. There's lots to do between swimming in the lake or the pool they have mini golf a store for all your camping needs and ice cream stand a hayride that rides around the campground and much much more. If you're looking for a fun and relaxing time not only for yourself but for your kids you can rest assure that will be safe driving your bikes around or swimming there's always a ton of security around to make sure everybody's safe while having fun.

We've been here a few times with friends, but we rented a cabin this time. Very nice, clean cabin. Plenty of space for the 3 of us. Full size fridge and tub. I think a few more hooks on walls or doors would provide a bit more storage. The employees are always very friendly, too.

We just returned from a 4 night stay here and my family had a fantastic time! Because of covid, it was a little different from last year but that was expected and explained on the website, ahead of time. The majority of the campsites are great, the one we had this time was terrific. The kids could ride their bikes without getting run over, quite time was pretty darn quite and everyone, staff, campers and seasonal residents were friendly. I noticed on several occasions the staff enforcing biking and golf cart rules, made me feel more comfortable with my kids. We will definitely be back!

This has been our second consecutive year at this RV resort, and we're planning a third. We couldn't be more pleased. The facilities are very clean and accommodating and the staff members are all kind and helpful personnel who focus on the customers. Staff attitudes are all warm and welcoming and this spirit is contagiously evident through the guests as well. We look forward to seeing the genuine smiles and cordiality of Marsha and the others at the front desk when we arrive, depart, and at all times in-between. This year we had some issues with our RV's accessories but Mike and Chrishele stayed with us upon arrival, even after their work hours had ended, just to ensure they got us what we needed, and that we were completely comfortable. This was very special and shall not be forgotten. A similar but slightly different RV issue (through no fault whatsoever of Sun Retreats), was incurred by us before our departure, but the matter was quickly fixed by Ryan, another Maintenance Crew member. We couldn't be happier. Highly recommended.

My husband was recently diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. So we decided to buy a little pop up camper and just go live life. Our first trip was to this campground. And what a pleasure it is!!! Super clean. A pool. A lake. A store. And many beautiful souls working and living here. We cannot wait to come back!

Loved it place was very clean, bathrooms had enough space and privacy. During the weekends they have a chalkboard in the front listing the daily activities also have mini golf and game room all in all great place to go with your family.

My family owns a trailer in the campground but it can get really crowded when we all go down ! We rented a cabin this past weekend that could accommodate our two dogs. It was so cute, nice and clean. We love the campground and it is very family friendly and oriented. The cabins have everything you need as far as cooking and utensils and in my opinion very spacious !

Stayed at Seashore for a week this summer and it was excellent. We stayed in a Motorhome on site T9 and it was fantastic. The bathroom, showers and laundry were right next to our site-very convenient! Lots to do-the lake with slides was fun for the kids and my (competitive) family really enjoyed the mini-golf. Pool looked clean, however we never tried it. Close to all Cape May points of interest, beaches and activities. Campground was definitely busy, lots of cars, bikes, golf carts, kids moving about; however this didn’t bother us as we have children who were part of the crowd. Thanks Mary for making this happen-we will definitely recommend and we’ll return if we come back to the area!

We stay here often. There are lots of family activities all week is going on. The pool is very clean and well-maintained, as is their lake. The miniature golf is a nice touch as well.

This campground was amazing! We had a great time. The sites were all very well maintained and plenty of room. All the facilities were meticulously maintained and the amenities were plentiful. For the price in this area, I really don't think they can be beat. We were very happy with our stay and will definitely be back!

Stayed at this Campground last week. Had a great stay. Place is nice and clean, and it is quiet at night. We had our own camper and it was easy to hook it up. We had a pull through site. Lake was clean and nice. So was the pool. The store is open until 10pm and has everything you need. Staff and other campers were friendly. Going back for sure next year.

Been coming here for years and always a pleasant experience. Great for tent camping or RV glamping. 10 min drive to the beach. Management does a good job of maintenance and making sure the area is clean and safe. Had some wood stolen one afternoon and they replaced it for free. Lock it up when you leave, especially in the cabin area.

"Glamper" review: we have been here 4 x and absolutely LOVE this campground. Lots of seasonal but all we have met are friendly! Swimming Lake, AWESOME! Groomed sand, clean water, fun slides! Staff is friendly and ice cream shop is great! The only complaint, we wish the pools were open later...even if they were "swim at your own risk." This campground is very close to Cape May and after staying in 4 different nearby campgrounds, we found this one to be best!

Wonderful atmosphere, loved the lake and pool and just the general layout of the campground. Will be going back there.
