Lewes Diner & Family Restaurant

Stopped in for breakfast on 2/11/2024 because the place we were going to was closed. The diner was clean, the service was great, and the food came out fast & hot. We had creamed chipped beef & gravy with home fries and the hungry man breakfast, both could have fed two people. The breakfast buffet (we did not have) was $14.99, had a nice selection, looked great, and the dishes were covered (always a plus!). Would highly recommend!

On a change of weather day from warm to cool and windy we stopped in here hungry and chilled. Hubby happily gobbled up an omelet and I went for the shrimp bisque and a grilled cheese tomato and bacon sandwich. That soup was just right for the day and quite delicious. Can’t go wrong with that sandwich. Easy access off main road with plenty of parking. Nice clean restroom and great service from Jennifer, who
would not let me leave without the scarf I abandoned at my comfy cozy booth. Great stop when leaving Lewes.

The waitress was very quick with refills, and brought the toddler’s food first. The atmosphere was so calm and relaxing, and had the Sunday football game on TV.

Best breakfast I've had in a month! The omelet was perfect, the breakfast potatoes were steaming hot, the toast was fluffy! Everything was clean, my server was attentive, and the cost was reasonable. Highly recommend! 👍🏻

We had a very good lunch and friendly service while dining here. The staff also kept our drinks refilled. The chicken noodle soup arrived to the table hot and the chicken cordon bleu panini w/bleu cheese dressing was very tasty. Thank you!

Food was delicious! I had veggie panini my friend had a western omelet. Service was quick and pleasant. The inside atmosphere was great! From outside, it looked like it was not open and kind of like a dive. A little scary to enter!

Great selection of options and very friendly service. Their cheesesteaks, burgers, and the Greek panini all came in large portions with plenty of crispy fries and included a bowl of soup (the Italian Wedding and Chicken Orzo soups were great.) They didn't use a panini press for mine but it was was really tasty regardless, with big chuncks of feta!

Lots of room if you have a large group as well, and plenty of comfortable and clean booths around the edges.

Our family lived in Lewes from 1957-59 when I was 4-6 years old and although this diner did not exist then, this was the opportunity to re-experience the town after 64 years. Everyone hospitable and friendly. Would recommend to anyone and would return because I hope to see Lewes again in the next few years.

It's been a while since we had a chance to eat here. Food was very good and staff was great. Just found out that the Saturday and Sunday buffet is up and running again. We'll definitely be back on the weekends.

My wife and I just finished a delicious lunch at the diner. I had a Lewes BBQ Chicken panini. It was hot, chicken tender, just the right amount of bacon, cheese and BBQ sauce. Comes with a cup of soup and fires so a very good value. Nicely done! My wife had the Greek salad and said it was the best she's ever had. The diner itself was immaculate. You could eat off the floors. The waitress was very friendly and appropriately attentive. A great first experience and we'll be back soon!

The owner and my server both addressed my mother, and I in a quite pleasant manner.

Your basic, small town diner: good food, plenty of choices on the menu, great service, and clean. Prices are very reasonable. We'll be back!

Lewes Diner is a great spot for any meal. Their menu is probably the largest of any restaurant I have ever seen. We return often to both dine-in and also grab a takeout pizza. Best part is you don't have to cross Rt 1 to get there!!!

Had an omelet, one of the best I have had in a very long time. Definitely worth going. I have been there before and they have a great breakfast buffet on the weekend . Only thing is they should include coffee in the price of the buffet!

I got the chicken salad club with french fries and Manhattan clam chowder. My husband got the egg salad sandwhuch french fries and chicken noodle soup. It was all very delicious. Best french fries. Server was very nice.

This is our spot for breakfast before we hit the road to go home after spending time at the beach. The food is good and the service is kind.

Love this diner when we visit Lewes! Great breakfast, good coffee, good service and a very clean and homey atmosphere.

Friendly service and tasty food. We entered to view a couple enjoying a fresh pizza pie. We had breakfast at midday and it was very good. The dining room was clean and already decorated for the next celebration.

Me and my best friends ate here today Sunday October 23, 2022. The food was delicious, the french onion soup could use a little work. Our waitress cant recall her name ( Grey covid mask with hands and rainbow heart) was super nice, friendly,, Attentive and had our food in a timely manor. We are from north delaware but the next time I come down to Beach i would like to eat here again maybe try there breakfast.
