Denaro's Submarine Sandwiches

Been looking for a good sandwich place, and thank God I found this spot. The sandwiches are delicious, will definitely be coming back. The staff are very friendly and the owner noticed us and knew he hadn’t seen us before and made us feel so welcome.

An old boyfriend put me on to this place years ago and I’ve been in love with this spot ever since. The best sandwiches in Jersey period!!!! I’ve been coming here for years and the quality is still top notch. Sandwiches are always extra fresh and delicious. I also love the service. The workers are extremely friendly and generous all the time. If it’s later in the afternoon, I would recommend calling before you head over to make sure they haven’t sold out for the day. They sell out often. Yes, it’s that good!!! CASH ONLY so be prepared.

The quality of deli meat, friendliness of the staff, price and size of the sandwiches? Nothing nearby can beat it. I highly recommend this place to anyone. I will always come back no matter how far away work takes me.

we started coming to Denaros in high school. I graduated 56 years ago and we're now driving over 20 miles to get the best subs in the area. Can't beat the food, the value and the service. 5's all around

Loved this place! They make simple subs without too much fuss. The toppings and style are limited but whatever they make they make damn well! I have only been once but this place is comparable in flavor to Troops in Clifton and Tastee's on Rt 1 in Edison. I believe its cash only so that's the only con but I could be wrong.

Delicious sub's, at affordable prices. Great customer service. I had the hot chicken parmesan and cold Italian sandwich and they were both wicked, wicked delicious. Highly recommend if you are craving for a good sub's. Also the pickle was fantastic and juicy.

This is the best sandwich place in all of Bergen county. The staff is friendly, the establishment is very clean, and they don’t mind making a custom sandwich. The bread is always fresh and the cold cuts used for the sandwich are cut right there in front of you for your sandwich. They never fail to amaze me with their quality

I'mma start this with the only two downsides; cash only and longer lines during peak hours.

But of those are not remotely important when thinking about this place though. Their food is fresh and DELICIOUS. I'm not a sandwich person, I'm just not. But their fresh sandwiches, specifically the fresh mozzarella is worth whatever hoop you have to jump through to get here. Easily a local favorite though, so locals won't be reading this review because they'll know it.

If you're coming into town or just stopping through, check this place out for lunch. Check. It. Out.

if you're going hiking or to the beach, grab some sandwiches to go from here, you will not regret it. I can promise that.

Didn't get a chance to take pictures of my sandwich. Was way too good to wait. Def a place to visit if you're ever in or near this area. Always worth the trip and very friendly staff. I always feel welcome and very well taken care of.

Portions are generous, the price is low and the taste is on point for a cold cut. I enjoyed the friendly and attentive staff. They listen and really want to design the perfect sand which meal for you. Definitely looking forward to coming here again.
