Chicago City Pizza

Chicago City Pizza in scottsburg. We ordered a deep dish Chicago style pizza and two thin & crispy pizzas.
The deep dish pizza was fantastic. The thin & crispy pizzas were also fantastic, thin and crispy not thin and soggy like most places. Well worth the trip.

Everything was delicious! The owners were so nice and friendly! The salad bar was very fresh! Lots of toppings to choose from. The guy in my picture, his name is John. Contrary to what the signs say.. there was pineapple on a pizza. Lol. Definitely going back again!!

Everyone working was very kind and polite. Salad bar, lasagna, and pizza were all very fresh and tasted great. Homemade ranch was very good. The pizza was my favorite. I had the Supreme. Everything was clean, and the pizza and lasagna were warm and fresh. Will definitely go back. The only thing I noticed while dining inside was the atmosphere seemed a bit smokey? Maybe from the pizza oven? I could even smell it on my clothes after I left. Maybe something needs to be done to the ventilation system. It's not a bad smell. it just smells like fresh brick-oven pizza but I could see it in the air when the sun would shine through the windows.

I took my family here last night and the food was delicious. We got the 10” deep dish with stuffed mushrooms. Food and service was great!

Everything was amazing, from the salad bar to the garlic Parmesan breadsticks, the marinara, to the deep dish pizza!!! The service was incredible and very friendly and inviting! It was my first trip and will 100% not be the last. Hands down the best pizza and breadsticks I have ever had, and I’ve eaten at similar restaurants all over the country! Please come visit the small town of Scottsburg, Indiana if for no other reason than to try this place out! Amazing!!!!!!!

This little gem is one of the best! They have the most amazing, fresh salad bar with a variety of toppings including some options from a local farm. The pizza is amazing and full of flavor. Their sausage is unlike any I’ve had anywhere else. They offer specialty pizzas such as potato, taco, and more. Everything is always fresh and the service is always good.

Not only that, they do a lot to give back to the community including helping kids with cancer, the homeless, the hungry, and those in need. We love this place!

This is a great place to eat is Scottsburg. This exceeds any of the chain offerings in town. Great food, service, and local flair.

If you're anywhere near Scottsburg and hungry, I HIGHLY recommend stopping in. We just happened to be in town for the 1st time and were looking for a place to eat. It's off the southeast corner of the main square, which is east of 65 and south of the main drag that cuts through town. Parking is simply street parking, of which there was an abundance when we dropped in. The building is a former doctor's office, to whom they pay tribute along the back wall of the restaurant.

Not sure if it's always a buffet set up when you dine in, but that is what we were told. It was $10/person, which we thought was an amazing deal considering the quality of food they are offering. The salad bar offers an awesome selection of mixed greens as opposed to iceberg lettuce along with an abundance of cheese, meat, veggie options, and dressings for adding to your salad. Admittedly I am not normally a salad guy (although I have had to become more so of one with age), but this was one of the best layouts I have personally seen, especially for a pizza joint.

The buffet version for the pizza was a different experience than we have had before. You get in line and request the slices you want from the kind lady working behind the counter. If the place is busy, it seems like this could take some time, but it was just the 2 of us on this early weekend lunch, so we didn't have a wait. I believe there were 5 pizza options available to choose from, including a legitimate deep-dish, along with some of the best garlic cheese bread we have had. Whether on the salad bar, their pizzas, or their cheese bread, they do not skimp on the cheese.

We aren't typically buffet consumers, but for the quality of food they are serving that would change if they were anywhere close to us. Friendly service, fantastic variety and tasting food, and a great value at the price they're charging. If we ever find ourselves near Scottsburg again for any reason, I think it's safe to say we will try dine here again.

Chicago City Pizza is, BY FAR, the BEST pizza in town! Made from scratch and reasonably priced. You MUST get the fresh basil on your pizza and MUST get the cheese bread. Oh my, it’s SOOO delicious!! And, the owners are extremely friendly and hospitable. They take pride in their food and it shows. This is a little hidden treasure. HIGHLY RECOMMEND !!!

After moving to Scottsburg several years ago from Chicago, pizza is definitely one of those home foods we’ve missed. We’ve tried so many pizza places, drove out of our way just to try places recommended by friends, just could not find anywhere close to Chicago pizza. Last night my daughter found Chicago City Pizza right here in Scottsburg right under our noses the whole time, so of course being from Chicago we decided to order takeout, after getting it home the smell alone was mouth watering, with my being a true Chicagoan born in the heart of Chicago, it’s hard to find good pizza in the south but Chicago City Pizza hit it right out of the ball park, the sauce had a kick of sweetness, the sausage was true Chicago made sausage with a hint of spicy to it and the cheese was just enough to top it off with. We expected to pay top dollar for Chicago pizza but after paying less than $50 for two 16” pizzas, I was shocked and started getting nervous as to how good could it possibly be that it’s so cheap, one pizza in Chicago would cost more.
I just wish I could rate this higher than a 5 star all around I would and I’d recommend to anyone that wants a real Chicago style pizza. It was really nice to have a little taste of home tonight….I can’t say enough goodness, thank you, Chicago City Pizza!

I have no idea how someone couldn't love this place. Always piping hot and fresh, super nice owners. Cheap for what it is- a really freakin' good pizza buffet. Love these guys, thank you!!

We loved the pizza, the owners are very friendly, and the atmosphere is great. We love the fact you can seat and eat in side unlike all the other pizza places in town

My first visit was when they were at Greentree Mall. I wanted veggie, but all they had was cheese, so the owner sprinkled fresh basil and olive oil on my slice and it was delicious! Now they moved to Scottsburg, too far away for me, but I have family there and I know they have enjoyed this food. Atmosphere at the mall was quaint, like Italy I guess. my only disappointment was the foul language bombs coming from behind the counter, very loud. but food was great.

Great place to eat, relax, and smell the aromas. Went in for lunch and ate with colleagues. Got some different pizza slices and the salad bar. It was great! Loved the potato pizza, delicious!

By far the best pizza in Southern Indiana, maybe even in all of Indiana!!!!! Fresh ingredients and very authentic! The owners are very nice and personable too! Will definitely eat here again and will make sure I tell everyone about it! Love it!

Deep dish is packed with toppings. Garlic bread was yummy. Very friendly service.

OMG!!! This pizza is So Good we drove 30mins from Clarksville up to their new location in Scottsburg. Miss them. The couple who own it are so nice. Holy cow DELICIOUS PIZZA!! Worth the trip. We'll be back for sure!!

Best pizza and salad bar ever!!! We have always wanted to try Chicago Deep dish style pizza and this place did not disappoint!! The owners were super nice and made sure we were happy! Being over-the-road as truck drivers you don’t always get GREAT FOOD AND SERVICE so I would recommend this place a thousand percent!!! They also accommodated parking for our big rig.
If we’re ever this way again we will definitely come back!
